Jieun Pov

I’ve been stealing glances at Jongin as we are having our snack , so many questions in my head I want to ask him but I don’t know where to start so I simply shrugged the thought off as I focused on feeding Haneul and myself.

We’re on our way back home, Jongin driving as I was seated at the back seat while haneul’s sleeping, head on my lap. I his hair as I glanced at the rear-view mirror I was taken aback when I met jongin’s eyes on the said mirror. It was just a few seconds but my heart suddenly races rapidly.

“Is there anything you want?” he asked concerned

“Nothing” I replied

“You look flushed, are you alright?” he asked again as I saw him glance at the mirror

“I’m fine, no worries”

Few more minutes, we had finally arrived. Jongin opened the door for us as he took Haneul from my lap as he guided the way.

“Why are the lights opened?” I asked him as we we’re walking side by side. I noticed that lights on the first floor were actually opened.

“Maybe we forgot to shut some lights off”

“Yeah maybe” still anxious, we continued to walk towards the door. I held the door knob and twist it open.

“Oh you’re ho--- who are you?” I heard someone spoke, I was frozen. A middle age lady was seated on the sofa with a little girl.

“Eomma!” Heard Jongin spoke in shock,that took me back to reality. Eomma? His mom? What’s happening here, I questioned in my mind

Jongin held my hand as he leads the way to his mom. Both of us were confused, Jongin’s mom looking at me and at haneul who was still on jongin’s arms.

“What’s happening here? Who’s that little angel? Who is she?” I heard his mom asked as he looked at haneul then at me. I simply bowed at her, no words coming out.

“I’ll explain everything. I’ll just take him upstairs” he said and quickly left. Don’t know what to do, I stand awkward, frozen on where I was.

“Have a seat darling” His mom said as I obliged

“I’m Kim Jungmi, mother of jongin and this is Rahee my granddaughter” she introduced

“I’m Lee Jieun” I answered politely
