Jieun pov

At 6pm, guests started to arrive. Very few special guests to be exact since only daeun, eunbyul jaehyun and the ahjumma next door were the people invited.

Eunbyul was playing with Haneul as me and Daeun were putting the side dishes and cutting the vegetables. Jaehyun was setting the barbecue place at the balcony. Good thing about our apartment is that the balcon is good enough and quite perfect for days like this. 

"Haneul really looks like him as he grows" Daeun suddenly spoke and I was taken aback by what she said.

I smiled as I answered "I guess he does"

"Sorry for bringing him up, I just can't help it" she looked at me with puppy eyes

"It's okay... It's the truth anyway" I fake laughed as Daeun sighed 

"So... Change topic, how's your relationship with him" Daeun asked as she pointed Jaehyun with

"Ya! that's private" I giggled. "Same as before, very good FRIENDS" i remarked as I put emphasis on the word 'Friends'

"Liar!!" She accused me as she laughed, I laughed as well. I didn't respond anymore since I know Daeun, she will not give up easily, she likes winning conversations

It has been 3 years but my relationship with Jaehyun is still the same, well he confessed lots of times but I keep on rejecting him because I know in my heart I still can't bear to love someone again, It feels like I have this scar in my heart that will take forever to heal. It’s true that I treated him like a boyfriend when Haneul was not born yet since it’s hard being taken care off without clearing what our relationship is back then but I told him frankly that I still feel the same as before so I broke up with him but he said he’s gonna wait for me again and he sounds pretty convincing so I let him be.Also, I don't want to be unfair to him, I told him that I'll accept his feeling wholeheartedly when I'm ready. Good thing he doesn't pressure me at all. He has been my pillar for the past years and I don't want to see him hurting. 

After preparing, we finally started out our barbeque party for haneul’s birthday, haneul was being so energetic as he dances and sings with his broken Korean. He’s so cute and funny at the same time. He really is my angel.

Eunbyul and Daeun was having fun playing with haneul as I went to the living room to get haneul’s presents for him to open them up. We let him sit on his baby chair as we handed him our gifts.
