Eric's Life
Freedom To LoveA very very short chapter... But I'll update a new chapter tonight as an exchange! ^^
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After he drove from the town where he met Hyesung, his heart felt heavy as he was closer to his home now. He already knew what his parents would said to him. And to be honest, he didn't care anymore as he had already used to it.
To him, his life is like living in a small suffocated box. Maybe that was why he is a claustrophobic. Being in a very extremely wealthy family has made him tired. Tired of people trying to win him over just because he has a lot of money. And that's why he doesn't have friends because he pushed them away. As a result, he became a cold person.
As for his parents, they always have something plan for Eric. Like since he was a baby until now. This is because in his big family, there's a competition on who's going to become the chairman of the company. To be seriously honest, Eric wasn't interested into it. All he wants in life is freedom. And that's why he is jealous with his sister.
His sister can do whatever she wants because she doesn't have to inherit the company. His sister loves art and now she has her own gallery shop. And the best part, she has a husband! At first, their parents rejected the guy coldly because the guy doesn't suit her. More specifically doesn't get along with their parents. But eventually they gave in because the guy proved them wrong by being one of the board directors in the company. With the help of their grandmother, of course.
Talking about Eric's grandmother. Eric is very close to her as he always spend his time with her when his parents are very busy. All the good attitudes that Eric still has was because of his grandmother who taught him about kindness and humanity. He can talked to his grandmother like a friend, tell her everything that happened without the fear of being judge. That's why some of the cousins are so jealous of him and talk bad about him behind his back. But he doesn't mind, as long as he has someone who has faith in him.
He drove his car in the basement and passed by the living room, not until he heard someone calling his name.
'Eric Mun!'
Eric sighed as he recognised the voice.
'What mum? I'm tired' Eric looked at her.
'Don't give me that excuse! I heard about what happened and could you please give me your explanation' Eric's mum started walking towards him.
'I don't like her and I don't want to get marry now. I have other IMPORTANT things to do' Eric emphasised the word.
'Marrying her is one of them! See her tomorrow and apologise to her. And no buts!' his mum threatened.
Saying those cliche words like 'I am 27 years old and you don't the right to control my life' is just a waste of time. So, Eric just rolled his eyes.
'Whatever. I talk to her whenever I feel like it. Which is never' Eric concluded and mumbled softly at the end of sentence. He then went straight to his room, ignoring his mum's yelling.
After showering and changing his clothes, Eric wasn't sleeping yet. He kept reminiscing about his first meeting with Hyesung. And then, an idea popped up in his head. He sat up on his bed and reached his MacBook which was placed on the nightstand. The whole night, he spent his time researching about autism. The causes, the symptoms, everything.
(Two days later)
'Mr. Mun, your meeting is in 10 minutes' Eric's secretary, Lara informed.
Eric who was reading a book just 'hmm', not caring about a single word she said. To be honest, Lara was quite surprised to see Eric reading a book because Eric was the type of person who hates reading.
'What's asperger syndrome?' Eric mumbled.
He quickly put down the book and search the definition of the term. He was so into it that his secretary had to call him twice.
'Mr Eric Mun!' Lara called.
'What?' Eric looked at her.
'You're supposed to go for a meeting 10 minutes ago'
'Oh, let's go now then' Eric casually walked out from his office and went to the meeting room where all the staffs were waiting for him.
'Let's start the meeting now. I have important things to do' Eric remarked as he needed to study more later on.
