Chapter Nineteen

Spying on Love

I'm almost on chapter 20!!!!!

But somehow I don't feel accomplished -.-

~Jaejoong's POV~

I scanned the room.

____________ was really gone.

Aish that girl.

I told her she needed rest!

I popped my head out the window.

"There you are," I said under my breath.

At that moment, she looked up.

I smacked myself against the wall.

Did she see me?

I dared to peek out at her again and let out a sigh of relief at the sight of her peacefully walking.

Suddenly, an idea popped up in my head.

I slipped out into the streets, staying a safe distance away from her: Just close enough to keep her in sight, but not so close that she'll notice me.

I followed her for twenty minutes.

Where is she going??

I looked around.

Isn't this near where Changmin lives?

I directed my attention back to her.

Oh shoot.

Where did she go?

I saw a her in the mist of people.

She was talking to someone.

Who?

I snuck closer to them, trying not to look suspicious. But not to worry. I'm pretty good at blending in.

"Where...you ... .... going?" someone asked.

I realized it was Yuri. What was Yuri doing here?

"... ... going .... .... strolling .... .... and .... ...." _________ responded.

"I... ... get .... .... ...." Yuri smiled as she talked.

"Oh .... ..... see.... later!" _________ beamed and hugged Yuri goodbye.

I could only pick up snippets of their conversation.

But I guessed it went something like this:

Yuri: Oh hi, _________!

_____: Hey Yuri!

Yuri: Where are you going?

_____: (Laughs) I'm just strolling.

Yuri: Me too. I have to get going now...

______: Ok. See you later!

I felt like a stalker.

__________ never even suspected me!

My phone vibrated.

Sorry for ditching you.

___________ thinks i'm still at the hospital. (facepalm)

Well at least that means I mastered the art of spying.

A few minutes passed, and I found myself standing in front of Changmin's house.

Oh goody.

My prediction was right.

To my surprise, __________ literally swung herself over the fence and hopped in the house through a window that was as far from the ground as twice her hight. (Think two times as tall as an average women)

She plopped the window closed and disappeared from sight.

Damn. Does she always do this?

I hauled myself over the side door, since it was shorter than the fence.

Careful not to make any noise, I pried open the back door and slipped into the house.

Where is she?

I creeped up the stairs and found her walking to the bedroom.

After she was in the room, I tiptoed to the room across from her and hid behind the door.

I peered at her through the crack.

She was holding something...

It looked like a book. Or a journal.

Then it snapped.

CHANGMIN'S JOURNAL?!?!

It was the one thing he kept from his childhood, besides some photos.

It was a thick, book only almost half-filled with writing.

I think he's going to write his whole life in there.

____________ stopped at a page.

"Should've known she was lying," she muttered under her breath.

Who was lying?

Thoughts zinged through my head.

Then, the front door opened.

____________ jumped with alarm, and disappeared out the window.

I bit my lip.

How am I going to make my escape??

"Aha!" I thought as I spotted the balcony.

I rushed out and examined the area.

It wasn't really high of the ground, but it looked out into the backyard. So I would have to flee out of the side door.

I bit my lip at that idea.

I might bump into ___________ and she'll know I was following her.

Another thought popped up: I need to get back to the hospital before her, or she'll find out as well.

Without a moment of hesitation, hurtled myself off the balcony and sprinted towards the hospital.

Breathing hard, I managed to get there without stopping.

I ran to ____________'s room and crashed in.

To my relief, she was still on her way here.

"Jaejoong?" a voice called.

I turned around.

"____________," I said, trying to sound angry.

"Sorry for leaving. I know you told me to rest, but I had to -" she began to say.

"It's okay," I interrupted. She looked surprised.

"Chincha?" she asked.

"Well, we all have things we need to do," I reasoned and she nodded.

"I'll leave you to rest then," I told her awkwardly.

I started walking out the door.

"Oh, Jaejoong?" she said.

"Hmmm?" I answered, stopping.

"Why were you panting and breathing so hard?" she asked.

My eyes widened.

"Er...um...." I panicked.

She laughed.

"It's okay. We all have things we need to do right?" she mimicked.

I smiled sheepishly.

"Go rest," I ordered and she giggled.

"Byeeeeee," she sang as I left.

I strode to the elevator and pressed the down button.

The elevator dinged open.

I waited for the people inside to leave. Most of them were probably here to see __________.

I didn't recognise any of them except for one.

Looks like ____________ isn't going to get very much rest.

________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Hmmm... So who was the person that he recognised?

Oh and somebody told me this would work so...
