Good Company“Oppa, what don’t you get? I’ve repeated myself a thousand times…” exclaims a frustrated Hayi and she sits closely next to Hongseok in the practicing studio. Hayi and Hongseok had been practicing over and over again, with Hayi albeit patiently guiding Hongseok along with his parts. However, it had reached her limit when Hongseok kept singing offkey at their harmonies - even though they had went through it a million times.
Hongseok sighs disappointedly at himself, at how incompetent he was and how much of a burden he was to his team. He watched as Hayi’s face grew restless throughout the hours of practice and her words of encouragement became short and eventually nonexistent when even he cringed at his own off tuned singing. He didn’t understand what was happening, he had felt uncomfortable for the past few weeks of this tough competition and stress just kept building as all he could do was watch as his other teammates struggled with keeping their own emotions in tack.
“I’m sorry Hayi ah…” Hongseok replies sullenly, his hands clenching his jeans in frustration with himself too. Seeing his expression softened Hayi’s agitation and she felt guilty for directing her anger at her oppa nevertheless.
“Oppa, I’m sorry too. I didn’t mean what I said....I think we are both reaching our limits so lets call it a night?” Hayi says softly and smiles at her oppa.
“Hmm, I agree. Let’s call it a night by calling in some chicken and late night snacks!” suggested Hongseok in a brighter tone.
“CALL” Hayi shouts with glee, her eyes sparkling with excitement at the sound of chicken.
Hongseok turns to call the takeout number for their chicken snacks whilst Hayi moved around the studio to grab newspaper and cushions and placed it on the floor, creating a makeshift picnic area. Hongseok sits down onto the floor opposite of Hayi and they both sat silently, looking around awkwardly trying to find a conversation start
