CHAPTER 7                                                                             

A week later

Jonghyun was in his deep slumber, until a person who is lying next to him decided to sit up after removing the older big hand around his waist. Losing the source of his warmth, Jonghyun quickly grab the latter hands making him fall back down on the bed. Without wasting any time Jonghyun trapped his husband slim body in his arm.

“Let’s stay like this for awhile…” whispered Jonghyun with his hoarse voice.

Kibum’s face is turning red when his back is forced against his husband hard chest. Jonghyun definitely spent a lot of time at the gym. That’s the only thing that could explain the glorious abs of the taller. Kibum’s heart is thumping loudly inside of him whenever Jonghyun’s breath hits his neck. Even though Jonghyun affections are not new to him, but it still sent shiver to his whole body.

Kibum never thought his husband would treat him so differently than before, but after Jonghyun little confession in Jeju, his husband are completely nothing but sweet and romantic. Of course Jonghyun never said that he loves him, but the way the older treats him, he couldn’t help but to feel that the older is also in love with him.

Kibum was lost in his thought until he felt so dizzy and nauseous, without waiting any longer, he wiggled himself out from his husband tight hug to the bathroom before puking out everything that he ate last night.

Jonghyun was asleep when Kibum decided to push his body and startled him from his slumber, he was about to ask his husband ‘why’, but he stopped before he could produce any sound when he heard the vomiting sound of his husband. Jonghyun almost tripped, in his way to the younger.  He knocked the bathroom door while asking worriedly.

“It’s nothing…maybe I ate something bad last night” Kibum opened the door as he said that

“Are you sure? Let’s go to the hospital”

“God, Jjong…I’m okay” Kibum take a hold of his husband hand and squeeze it lightly, assuring the older that he was definitely fine.

“Okay. Bum, I need to go to the office a bit early today”

“I was trying to tell you earlier, but who was the one, who insisted to stay on the bed a little longer?” Kibum said while wiggling his eyebrows, teasing the dino.

“I know…but I just missed you” Jonghyun said while grinning seductively

“Jjong, stop it…you’re going to be late. Why don’t you take a bath while I prepare your breakfast.” Said Kibum while pushing his husband into the bathroom

Jonghyun unwillingly followed the younger instruction, while whining like a child. Kibum could only smile and shook his head. Who would ever think that The Kim Jonghyun is so childish instead of being cool?

Kibum actually wanted to make something like egg roll, but as soon as he put the oil into the pan, he couldn’t help but to rush to the sink before vomiting once again. Kibum didn’t know why, but the oil scent is too weird and nasty. Usually he didn’t have any problem with oil scent but today is different.

Maybe the oil is expired…

Giving up on the egg roll he decided to make stew and thankfully he completed the dish smoothly without vomiting. As soon as the dining table is set up, Jonghyun, as usual sitting on his usual place, waits for the younger to sit along with him.

Kibum on the other hand, was about to sit but stopped abruptly when he smelt Jonghyun’s perfume. He once again run to the sink and letting out all of food he consumed before. Jonghyun crooked his eyebrows in confusion before going to his husband and slowly the latter’s back.

After calming down a bit, Kibum turns to his husband only to push the older away from him, earning a slight pout from the older. Kibum was more than happy knowing Jonghyun is doing his best to comfort him but the older scent was too disgusting; he couldn’t help but to push the older away.

“Jjong, what kind of perfume did you used? The smell is so disgusting” Kibum said while covering his nose. He didn’t want to throw up once again.

“What? It’s the usual perfume. Bum, you really need to go to hospital”

“Jjong, I’m okay. Just let me rest for today” was all Kibum replied, earning a slight huff from Jonghyun, Kibum is too stubborn sometimes.

Kibum was forced by Jonghyun to stay at home and he couldn’t do anything but to obey. Jonghyun had clearly stated if Kibum left the house, then he will personally took the younger straight to the hospital. Now, Kibum knew why Jessica couldn’t leave Jonghyun, the older knows perfectly how to treat his loved one. Even though Jonghyun seems like playboy, but he was far from it.

Just then, His little flashback was interrupted by the ringing sound of his door bell.

“Who is it, Ahjumma?” asked Kibum from the living room

“Bummie!” instead of hearing his maid voice, his mother shouts instantly answered his question.

“Mom!” seeing the woman he loved the most, he couldn’t help but to shout too. Only God knows how much he missed to see and talk to his mother.

And, yes, Kibum and Jonghyun are living separately from their family since they returned from their honey moon. Kibum was thinking to ask Jonghyun to live with his family, but his parents and Jonghyun’s parents had different planning by preparing a house for them. He and Jonghyun couldn’t object, since the house was already paid and the contract cannot be revoked anymore.

“I miss you so much” said Yeon U while hugging her son, receiving a faint ‘me too’ from her son.

At first, Yeon U strongly opposed her husband decision to buy a house for Jonghyun and Kibum, she was afraid Jonghyun would do something to her precious son, but seeing how happy and healthy his son is, she felt so relieved.

She was worried about his son from the moment Jonghyun called her husband saying that Kibum couldn’t go to the office.

“Are you okay? Jonghyun called us saying you are sick” said Yeon U while placing her hand on Kibum’s forehead

“Mom, I’m okay. Jjong was just overreacting”

“I’m sure he’s not  being overreacting, you’re too stubborn to listen to him. I’m glad he called us. Let’s go to the hospital”

“Mom, I’m okay.” She was right, Kibum was too stubborn to listen.

She wasn’t going to believe his son at all. She pried out her hand phone and called their family personal doctor. Kibum trying really hard to prevent his mother, but that woman is seriously strong. Not long after her phone call, the doctor arrived with his assistant.

Kibum fidgeting nervously beside his mother, Dr.Jung had asked them to go to the hospital since the equipment he brings doesn’t seems enough to tell what was happening to him. A few minutes later, the nurse called him and with a heavy heart he stepped into the examination room.

Dr.Jung asked him to lie down and pull up his shirt, before applying the cold gel onto his bare stomach. He knew that the doctor is scanning his stomach, he could see it on the screen next to him, but he couldn’t understand a bit of it, all he saw was only black and white spots.

“Kibum, I need your husband to come here.” Was all the doctor said before leaving him there, speechless.

Jonghyun on the other side was driving like a mad man, wanting to arrive at the hospital as soon as possible. His heart was about to fall when his mother-in-law called him, saying that she was with Kibum at the hospital.

He burst into the doctor room, as soon as he arrived at the hospital, to find his husband sitting on the chair without any injuries. Jonghyun let out a relief sigh before approaching his husband.

“Mr. Kim, Finally you’re here” said the doctor

“What’s wrong with my husband?”

As soon as Jonghyun sat beside his husband, Dr. Jung smiled before answering, “Mr. Kim, I am pleased to tell you that Kibum is one week pregnant.”

The married couple looked at the doctor as if he was an alien, but Dr. Jung could recognize that look very well. He couldn’t help but to let out a light chuckle.

“I’m not joking. As you can see…” Dr. Jung pointed to the small black dots on the ultrasound result before he continued “This is the baby.”

 Jonghyun and Kibum were speechless, they didn’t expect things like this would occur. Of course they didn’t. Both of them are guy, for God sake!

“B-but, How?” stuttered Kibum, he didn’t know where did he find the strength to talk, but he did.u

“Kibum, you’re born with two es. When you were a baby, we managed to remove your female since it was badly formed. I never thought your female organ would grow in you, but it did and it functioned perfectly since you could conceive a baby.”

“I was a girl?” Kibum unbelievingly asked.

“You’re not completely a girl since you also had a male . That’s not the reason I called both of you. Kibum, you’re pregnant, but it is a risky pregnancy and I need you to choose whether to keep it or to remove it. Once you enter the third month it’ll be too late to remove it.”

“Means that I have to kill my baby?” Kibum in verge of crying, hearing that he had to kill the child that are growing inside of him

“Did he have a chance to survive?” Jonghyun decided to ask, after being an ultimate silencer until now.

“Yes, but he really need to take care of his health two times more than a pregnant woman do.”

Jonghyun silently asked the doctor to give them a time for both of them to discuss about this shocking news.

From the moment Kibum knew he was pregnant, his hands had never left his stomach. He’s going to keep his baby even though Jonghyun wouldn’t accept it. Of course Jonghyun wouldn’t accept it, who would?

“Bummie, I don’t want to lose you…” knowing the older next sentence could break him, he closed his eyes, expecting for the worst. “But, I don’t want to lose our baby either.”

Kibum eyes instantly opened wide hearing the older reply and without uttering any words he slung his slim arms around Jonghyun’s neck, which was the first time he initiate the skin ship. He was thankful to Jonghyun; he thought Jonghyun would call him a freak or something like that for being pregnant, but the older was far from that.

“Thank you baby, this is the most beautiful gift ever.” Said Jonghyun before planting a sweet and innocent kiss on the younger’s forehead.

Hearing the nickname that Jonghyun gave just now, Kibum’s cheeks instantly turns red as if he was wearing blusher.

“Abort it”

Two words were enough to make Kibum’s whole world crumble down. If it came from Jonghyun he could still overcome the pain but the cruel words came from no other than his very own father. He didn’t know what to feel at this moment.

Couldn’t his father understand his pain? The baby was growing inside him, how could he kill his own baby? Kibum thought his father would be the happiest man alive because of this baby. But it was another way around.

He didn’t care if he was crying in front of his family and Jonghyun’s family. All he wanted right now is, making his father understand that he’s in pain, a very great pain because of him. Jonghyun was totally surprised by his father-in-law cold and intimidating voice, he silently grabs his husband hand and squeezes it as a sign that the younger is not alone.

“Yeobo!”

“Soohyun!”

“Oppa!”

The most surprised person in that room is Yeon U. Her husband has never spoke in that kind of tone with Kibum. Not even when Kibum decided to pierce his ear and colored his hair. She could tell that her husband was totally mad this time.

“I want you to remove that thing!”

“Dad! This is my baby, she’s not a thing!” Kibum could understand that his father was mad, but calling his child ‘a thing’, was something he couldn’t let it pass easily.

“You could die, for God sake!” said Soohyun while grabbing his face in frustration.

Only then, the whole people in that room could understand, why Soohyun would say something like that to his precious son.

After hearing his father little burst out, his face soften immediately. He looked at his husband, silently asked the older if he could go to his father. Surprisingly, the dumb Hyun could understand his husband’s sign and nodded while letting go the latter’s hand, as his answer.

After getting the permission from his husband, he silently stands up and approached his father slowly, before he slung his hand around his father’s broad shoulder. He could feel the older tense up when he hugged him, but after recognizing Kibum, Soohyun immediately calmed down.

“Dad, Dr. Jung said I’ll be okay if I take care of myself. You’re stressing me up by acting like this, I’m bearing you’re grandchildren. You should be happy not crying like a baby.” Kibum was serious at first but then he ended with teasing tone.

He knew his father wouldn’t do anything that could hurt him physically or emotionally. Even though, Kibum was hurting when his father told him to abort it, but his father was also hurting along with him. He was the only child of his parents. Of course, they would act like that.

“Really? You’ll be okay?”

“Of course, Appa. I’ll take care of him. If it necessary we’re going to stay with you until the baby is born” Jonghyun could totally understand why his father-in-law acted like that, he had predicted the same reaction from the older and he was not surprised when Soohyun acted just like how he had predicted. Because he knew how much his father-in-law loves his son.

“Born? Did you mean push the baby out?”

 Soohyun question might sound foolish. Well, it is a foolish question when you ask a pregnant woman, but in this case is a pregnant man. The question is the most important question of all.

“No dad, I need a caesarean surgery to take the baby out. I was born to conceive but not giving birth”

While Kibum was explaining about his pregnancy, Taemin in the corner of the living room is holding back his tears. He was glad that finally, his Umma-like-cousin able to meet his happiness. He is happy for Kibum and Jonghyun.

“Baby, thank you for being pregnant” Jonghyun out of the blue said, as they lay down on the bed.

He never thought he could be a father. By marrying Kibum he knew that he’ll never had a chance to have a biological child. Even if he chooses Jessica over Kibum, he’ll never have his own child.

Jonghyun knew he need to tell Kibum about Jessica sooner or later, but he didn’t know how to tell Kibum. He couldn’t just go and tell him ‘hey, I can’t leave Jessica because she is infertile.’ How absurd it will be if Kibum heard it.

And Jessica hasn’t called him since he slapped her the other day. He knew, he needs to end it with Jessica officially. It would be easy if their relationship is not over than a year, but it was a five year relationship and he would be lying if he says, he didn’t love Jessica at all. No matter how much he loves Kibum right now, he couldn’t lie to himself that he‘s still care for Jessica.

“Silly, I’m not pregnant by myself.” Kibum wanted to continue with ‘I made it with you’ but thankfully he able to stopped himself before he could make a fool of himself in front of Jonghyun.

When it comes with erted things, Jonghyun will be the most intelligent one. He knew that the younger intentionally left the next words hanging in the air just like that. He raised one of his eyebrows teasing his husband as much as he could, earning a light pinch from the younger.

“Bummie, why did you said ‘she’ instead of ‘he’ when you refer to our baby?” Jonghyun has been curious about that, since before, but he didn’t have an opportunity to ask.

The ‘our baby’ word, makes Kibum’s stomach filled with a lot of butterflies flying around. He couldn’t help but to feel strangely warm, which caused his cheeks to light up in bright red. Sometimes he hates the fact that Jonghyun is the reason why he’s unable to control himself.

“uhh…I don’t know, I just feel like the baby is a girl.” How could Kibum answer to that question, when he also didn’t know the exact answer.

Jonghyun face lit up when the younger said the baby is a girl. He had always wanted to have a baby girl.

“Really?”

Seeing his husband eyes twinkling like a puppy, he couldn’t help but to smile. Of course he knew that, Jonghyun had always wanted his baby to be a girl.

“I don’t know that for sure, what if our baby is a boy? Won’t you like it?” Kibum is slightly nervous to hear the answer, what if Jonghyun didn’t like a baby boy? What will he do?

Noticing the uneasy stare in the younger’s feline eyes, he grabs Kibum’s hand before answered him with soothing voice.

“I’ll love him the same. It’s our child, no matter what es they are.”

It’s funny how the things changed drastically like this. Before the marriage, Kibum had imagined how unhappy he would be since Jonghyun didn’t love him. He had never imagined he would be pregnant and Jonghyun is excited to have this baby.

Believe it or not, they never had a again after the first night of their marriage until today. Kibum didn’t know why, but he was afraid to do it once again. It’s not because how sore he would be in the morning, but he is afraid that Jonghyun would react the same way he did when he had his first time. He didn’t want to feel that kind of pain ever again.

Jonghyun also had never done anything too far except for a kiss. Kibum was somewhat thankful to Jonghyun. Sure, they flirted a lot but that was just for fun. Kibum knew Jonghyun has restrained himself a lot, it’s just that, he couldn’t bring himself to do anything ual with Jonghyun.

Sometimes Kibum felt uneasy about the things concerning Jessica. He knew and perfectly understands that Jonghyun still had feelings towards Jessica.

Of course Jonghyun said he doesn’t love Jessica anymore, but a five year relationship couldn’t be taken too lightly. The love that they had cannot be gone in just one week and Kibum is trying his best to understand it.

Since he was the one who took Jonghyun away from Jessica, he at least need to understand that much. Jonghyun had asked him to believe him and he is going to believe the older. He knew Jonghyun wouldn’t do anything that would break his heart.

He wanted to hate Jessica but he couldn’t. Jessica is not the bad guy in this relationship, but him. He was the one who intrude in Jonghyun and Jessica relationship, not the other way around, so he didn’t have any right to hate Jessica.

You mean Kibum’s mother?

What? Hyung, don’t be ridiculous. It’s Bummie Hyung who pregnant!

What? What a freak! How can he conceive when I couldn’t?

“Jess, what are you doing with my phone?”

Jessica instantly turns her head towards the deep voice, obviously surprised by the unwanted person in that moment.

“I..i..” of course she would stutter, she didn’t expect for Minho to show up in that moment

Minho took a big step approaching his cousin and harshly took his phone before checking his message back.

“What the hell, Jess? Why did you read my message?” asked Minho angrily

“I was just looking, but that’s not the point. Can you believe it? Pregnant? Bull!”

“Jess, Jonghyun are happy with his husband. Let him be-”

“What? Let him be happy with that freak? Not in million years, I would allow that!” Jessica shouted before stomping out from Minho’s house.

Minho could only shook his head and sighed. He was sure Jessica would do something to make Kibum and Jonghyun suffer. He instantly grabs his phone and dialed his best friend number. After the third ring, Jonghyun picked up with hoarse voice, indicating that he was asleep just now.

“Hello?”

“Yah, Choi ing Minho! Don’t you know what time is it?  It’s 2 ing morning!”

Minho still could hear Jonghyun shouts even he had took his phone away from his ear.

“Hyung calm down. I need to tell you something important”

“You better be. If you still want to be alive”

“Hyung, Jessica knew that Kibum is pregnant”

“What? But how? It has been kept from media”

“She reads my message”

“Oh God”

“Hyung take care of Kibum, I’m sure she had something evil in her mind. She was totally pissed off earlier”

“I know.”

After another few of useless conversation, the two best friends decided to hang up but Jonghyun suddenly didn’t felt sleepy at all. He was worried that Jessica would do something to hurt Kibum and their baby.

He turns to his husband side, to find a beautiful boy is sleeping soundly with pinky cheeks and pouty lips. How Kibum could be so beautiful even in his unconscious state? [A/N: my hands are curling, but still manage to write]

Jonghyun reach for his husband face, carefully, before caressing it with gentleness and love. He care for Jessica, but he loves Kibum and that is for sure.

Bummie, please stay with me, till the end.

Seeing his husband peaceful face, sleepiness once again hits Jonghyun.
