CHAPTER 1

Everybody,

Wake up, wake up..

Kibum’s deep slumber was disturbed by the alarm ringtone, without opening his eyes, he grasp his phone and turning off the alarm..

Then, he opened his eyes slightly to check the time

7.45

His eyes instantly grew wide..

Well, ..

Kibum sat up quickly and hastily took his step towards the bathroom which fortunately, connected to his room.

Kibum are not required to be early at the office, why would he? He is the boss, he could do whatever he want, he owns the company..but kibum are far from that, he always be at the company on time each morning, he is loved by all of his employee (mostly)

Well, in other words kibum is a perfect employer, he would never misused his father wealthiness for his own sake.

All of the employees froze in their spot, as soon as he step into the building.. how could they not? This is the first time ever, their employer arrived later than everyone else.

Kibum is aware by the confusing looks he received, could only flashed his beautiful smile that shows his dimples and his perfect white teeth clearly.

As if on cue, when the employees saw that smile, they bowed at him and start doing their works as usual.

At the entrance of his office, he was greeted by his bubbly secretary

“Good morning, taemin” he replied while passing the younger table

“oh, Hyung! i was about to call you, you’re late! I was worried about you, are you okay?” kibum rolled his eyes at the younger’s useless rambling

“taemin, i’m late for about 5 minutes only..” kibum states the obvious

“i know hyung, but you never late! Why today? Did something happen?” kibum once again rolled his eyes, annoyed by the continuous question.. Sometimes he hates the fact taemin is his cousin, but deep inside his heart, kibum care a lot about the younger

“Taemin-ah...i’m okay, just lost track of time..Last night, i was on the phone with nicole..you know how we were, when we talk, right?” kibum explained, because he knows..if he didn’t tell the whole story, taemin will pressing him until the younger get the answer he wanted, for the whole ing day.

“i see..oh hyung, before i forgot..your father wanted to see you at his office” kibum frowned a bit hearing his father wanted to meet him,

“must be important” kibum thought.

“okay..” with that, kibum headed towards his father office.

Kim Sangwook’s Mansion

“Jonghyun, you need to wake up! You’re late for your work..” Sodam let out a long sigh while shaking his brother body..

This was her morning routine, waking up the prince in the morning..while bitting her lips, she took one of the pillow and hit her brother’s face, hard

The younger abruptly sat up, startled by the force and blinked stupidly at his sister

“Seriously jonghyun! If i didn’t know any better..i would assume you’re dead! Get your lazy up! Father is waiting for you at the office!” Sodam once again shove the pillow towards jonghyun face, before she step out from the room.

Jonghyun grunts in annoyance as he realized what her sister had done, “why can’t she wake me a little gentler, not by shoving my pillow to my face!” Jonghyun mumbled while taking his step towards bathroom

Of course he would say that..what jonghyun doesn’t know is, his sister had been waking him for 30 minutes and he dosen’t even move a inch.

Jonghyun knocked the door of his father’s office and received a faint “come in” in return, he slowly turn the door knob and step in.

“oh, my son..i’ve been waiting for you” Sangwook smile slightly at his son’s confused frown

“i didn’t came home late last night..if that’s what you want to know” Jonghyun walked towards his father as he said that..

“i know..but it wasn’t about that..” his father once again smiled,

‘okay..this is weird’ jonghyun thought.

“well..what is it then?” jonghyun shrugged off his father weird behaviour, waiting for an explanation

“son, do you know Kim Soohyun right? My friend?” jonghyun let out a relief sigh as he heard his father question..he thought his father had something serious to tell him..

“yeah, the owner of the mall..what about him?” of course jonghyun know..why wouldn’t he? His father’s friend has always visiting them.

“well..he is coming to our house tonight..” jonghyun starred at his father for awhile, confused.. “why would he tell me that? It’s not like soohyun uncle never been there before” jonghyun contemplating mentally.

“dad, it’s not the first time-”

“he’ll bring his family along..” his father interrupt without waiting him to finish his words..

Well, isn’t that exciting?

“Dad? Can i come in?” without waiting for an answer, kibum step into the spacious room only to be greeted by his father bright smile..

“bummie..i’ve been waiting for you, did something happen? Why did you came late today?”

Kibum rolled his eyes and sighing mentally ‘Not again’

“dad, seriously? Taemin had been asking me the same question..i woke up late, is that clear?” kibum dosen’t mean to sound harsh, but this morning his mood haven’t been so good.

“moody, aren’t we?” Soohyun ignored his son bad mood and never stop smiling

“dad, if this just a joke, it’s not funny..”

“okay..okay, i’m just glad seeing you” kibum just snorted hearing that

“please dad, i’m not buying it..tell me why in the world you want to see me? why can’t we talk at home tonight?”

“okay..god, i can’t hide anything from you..just like your mom” kibum let a small chuckle at his father childlish whine..

“bummie..do you still remember uncle sangwook?”

Kibum chuckle died right away hearing his father serious tone..

“wookie uncle? Of course..how can i forgot him? Did something happen to him?” kibum’s voice suddenly changed into worried tone..

“no..no, he’s fine..just want to tell you that, we’re going to his house tonight!” his father excited voice, confused him a bit..it’s not that kibum mind, but visiting someone who you just saw last week..there’s no need to be that excited..

“o..okay, that’s wonderful” kibum replied less enthusiastically, but Soohyun couldn’t care less about his son moody behaviour.

Night

Kibum still didn’t understand why did he had to go, it’s not that he didn’t want to meet his wookie uncle, but the thought of meeting his son, make kibum’s heart lurch..and yes, he had a little crush towards the dino (or so he thought)

Jonghyun and him had been a friend since they were babies..but once they grew bigger, kibum couldn’t help but to feel that their friendship are more than that, seeing the older has always protecting him from danger . Kibum never confessed since the day he found out the older has been dating a girl from their school.

Why would he confessed? if the older is as straight as ruler..he don’t want to make the older hate him, so he decided to pretend that he was okay seeing jonghyun hold her hand, kiss her, caress her cheeks.. untill the day, his father told him that they were moving to United State.. He thought that was a good chance to forget jonghyun and ended his heartache.

He thought time would heal everything..but his heart still beating loudly inside his ribcage by thinking of jonghyun.. what would he do if jonghyun is in front of him?

Eventhough,they’ve been moving back here for a year, Kibum never met jonghyun again..

“Bummie honey?” A loud knock interrupting kibum thoughts..

“come in, mom” kibum smile slightly seeing his mother head peeked out from his door

“your dad was wondering if you’re ready?”

“yes..i’ll be downstairs in a minute” kibum quickly stand up and checking himself in the mirror for the last time, and followed his mother silently

“son, as beautiful as always..” his father smile indicating that he is proud of kibum..

“thanks, but shouldn’t it be handsome instead of beautiful? you make me feel like a girl” kibum replied jokingly..clearly not offended at all by his father compliment

“you’re more beautiful than any girl” his mother added while patting his back lovingly..

Jonghyun is looking foward to meet kibum for the first time in 5 years, of course Soohyun always visiting them..but only Soohyun, without kibum..

“Did he still remember me?” jonghyun asked himself, knowing the probabilty of kibum forgetting him is high.

Jonghyun still remember the day kibum was leaving..he was crying at the airport begging the other to stay, of course kibum didn’t have choice back then but to follow his parents. Jonghyun has always miss his bestfriend..it would broke his heart if kibum forgot about him.

“Son, the guests are here..” his father faint voice are clearly heard by him

He took a deep breathe and step outside, only to be greeted by bubbly voice that he’d been missing to hear.. “Wookie Uncle, i missed you!”

As soon as kibum saw Sangwook, he instantly throw his body to the older male indicating that he really missed the older..

“Bummie! I missed you too..look at you, so beautiful” Sangwook pulled himself away from the hug only to take the younger back into his arms.. Sangwook really loves kibum, as if kibum is also his child

Jonghyun froze at the spot, too shocked by the beauty in front of him.. he never expect for kibum to grow into a complete beauty like this..his voice is so addictive to jonghyun’s ear.

“Yesul umma!” As soon as he saw jonghyun’s mother, he shouted loudly and hurridly pulled her into a tight hug “Umma..i missed you, wookie uncle always came alone..” he whine and pouting at the same time, making everyone around him want to keep him hidden in the pocket, since he is too cute.

“oh my god, bummie..when did you grow into a beauty like this?” jonghyun mother also loves kibum so much, sometimes jonghyun feels that, her mother loves kibum more that she loves him.. Kibum start calling her ‘umma’ since they were child, and it became habit.

“yah..bum bum!” it’s sodam turn to shout and ripped kibum away from her mother arms into her arms..

“noona!” kibum once again excitedly jumping with sodam, both of them are excited to see each other again.

After a couple exchanging talk between sodam and kibum..suddenly all of eyes in that room looking at jonghyun, who keep watching without saying a word..

“kibum, you still remember Jonghyun?” jonghyun unconsiously swallow his own spit, waiting nervously for the younger to answer his father question.

Kibum feline eyes instantly starred at jonghyun puppy eyes..they only looked at each other, ignoring the world and people around them.. kibum drew his step closer toward the dino-looking male while jonghyun froze, unable to move..

“Jjong? is that you?” kibum stopped in front of jonghyun, but only received a silent reply from the older

“Jjong? Jonghyun?!”

“y-yes?” jonghyun curse himself mentally as his reply are different from what he had expected.

“OMO! When did you become so tall?” (A/N : Let’s assume, jjong is taller that kibum ^^) jonghyun parents and sodam brust out laughing at kibum sudden attack on jonghyun’s height.

Jonghyun on the other side, instead of getting offended..he’s kind of happy, knowing that kibum still remember him, and how he didn’t like to be picked on his height..

“seriously bum? After 5 years that’s all you’ve got to say?” jonghyun missed this..the silly argument between them

“well then, what am i supposed to say? I don’t like the idea of you being taller than me!” kibum pouted, kibum also missed the older so much..eventhough, being with the older caused him a great pain...but he couldn’t forget how being with the older, also brought him a happiness.

The two friends keep arguing over silly things..while the parents and the sister silently leaving the room to discuss and important matter regarding the will of the Grandparents.

“well, it is clear..both of them loves each other” Sangwook begins, the rest of them, could only nodded

“yeah, but how will we break this news to them? I don’t want any of them hurt by this arrangement” Yeon U couldn’t help but to worry..

“yeobo, don’t worry..they love each other, this arrangement are making things easier between them” Soohyun and Sangwok already make their desicion, Kim Kibum is going to marry Kim Jonghyun.

Sangwook really loves kibum, and he silently hoping that kibum could change his son behaviour..jonghyun is not responsible enough, for him to continue Sangwook’s business, he need someone to fix his son and also someone who he can trust..which is no other than kibum..

Soohyun also loves jonghyun but not as much as sangwook’s love for kibum..

“Aunty, don’t worry..we will always love bum bum, it’ll be a little hard to hate him..he will be a miracle to our family if he marry Jonghyun” sodam, being the sister.. she also knows that, there’s no one except kibum are suitable for this family.

“Okay..That’s it, kibum is going to be our son-in-law! I can’t wait for that day!” Yesul exclaimed excitedly..

Yeon U on the other side are thankful towards the family for loving her bummie as much as her love

After the heated discussion between two families, they’ve decided to talk to their sons after the dinner..

“Umma, the dwenjang chige is so yummy! I want to learn it..can i?” kibum excitedly bouncing on his chair.

“bummie, sit still..” Soohyun could only shaking his head, thinking that his son are too childlish sometimes

“Of course you can..let him be Oppa, he’s cute..” Yesul reach out for kibum cheeks and slightly pinch it..

“Umma loves me..” kibum snuggled closer to jonghyun’s mother as he said that, Soohyun could only look at his wife and gave her a small smile

Jonghyun could only let out a small laugh, thinking how cute the younger could be..Sodam wiggled her eyebrows toward her brother, teasing him.. but jonghyun, being the dumb hyun he was..didn’t understand, what her sister was trying to say.

“You look like a love-sick puppy!” sodam thought her brother could understand the message, but she forgot that her brother are not so bright in reading secret message.

Kim Soohyun’s Mansion

“bummie..how was it? Meeting jonghyun?” soohyun asked his son as soon as they arrived at their house

“it was good..i’m happy to meet everyone again..” kibum still smiling like a school girl meeting her crush.

“well, you know..the actual purpose of this meeting is to let the two of you getting used of each other again” kibum frowned at his father words..

“what do you mean by that?” Yeon U sits beside kibum and took her sons hand and caress it lightly..kibum is getting scared by his mother acts

“you..are getting married with him” Soohyun let it out in one breath

“WHAT? Marriage?” kibum unconsciously shouted, too shocked by the information

“yes, the two of you have been arranged to get married since before you were born..your grandmother decided with jonghyun’s grandfather” Yeon U explained everything to his son

“but..we are both guys!”kibum didn’t know how to react, part of him are happy but another part of him are scared.

“i know, but that’s not a problem..this country are not against Homoual..come on, bummie..you knew that..”

“but..what about Jjong? did he agree?”

“son, we only need your decision..and everything could be prepared right away, besides this is your grandmother wish..” Soohyun knows his son wanted this, that’s why he didn’t say he didn’t like it..

“i..i don’t know..give me time to think, i’ll be in my room” with that kibum weakly took his step towards his room..

“WHAT?” Jonghyun shouted

“you heard me, you’re going to marry kibum”

“NO, i don’t want to get married, what about jessica?” Jonghyun are beyond annoyed, how can his father said that, nonchalantly.. it was like his feeling didn’t matter to him

“she’s not good enough for you, she just wanted your money!” Sangwook also began to shout as his patience start to slips away

“DAD! She loves me and i love her..kibum and i, are nothing more than friend” jonghyun could feel his tears threatening to fall

“you are marrying kibum, whether you like it or not! You hear me? i’m not going to have a gold digger as my daugther-in-law!” Jonghyun resist the urge to punch his father, His father didn’t have any rights to insults his girlfriend.

“i’m not going to marry kibum, that’s final!” jonghyun knew he couldn’t change his father’s stubbornness, but it worth a try..

“then, you can leave this house without taking any cent from me..you know i could do that” his father threats did scare him a lot, he never do anything without his father’s help

“after you get married with kibum, only then i would transfer all of my property to you” it wasn’t sangwook intention to provoke jonghyun, but his son was blinded by the fake love of that woman, called jessica.

“okay..i’ll follow your orders” Jonghyun is too tired to argue with his father, all he wanted to do is go to sleep and hope all of this was just a nightmare

“that’s my son..and you will be engaged to bummie by the end of this month” Jonghyun eyes grew wide, that is too soon..

“what if kibum rejected this arrangement?” Jonghyun wanted to smack his own head, why didn’t he think of this earlier?

“no can do son, bummie already accepted this arrangement” Sangwook smiled victoriously at the message Soohyun sent earlier.

‘Bummie are willing to fulfill the will’

‘Well, my life!’ Jonghyun cursed mentally as he slowly step out from the reading room.
