As soon as Jimin received the notice that she and Taekwoon were to go on a date, she rushed back into her agency. Throughout the ride to the building, she was restless – continuously fidgeting with her fingers or playing with her hair. The reason being that she had always been so focused on her career and music, dating was out of the question. She had never had a boyfriend before, let alone been on a date. And for such an important first experience to be exposed to the public, it made it even harder for her to gather her thoughts together.

Before her manager could say anything to her, she speed-walked into the building the moment the vehicle stopped. The older man could only shake his head while chuckling at the younger girl’s actions.

“Jihyo unnie! Jiyeon [Gummy – soloist] unnie!” Jimin shouted immediately as she spotted the two older women in the lobby.

Being the youngest artist in the agency, it was only natural for others to baby her. It didn’t take a long time before Jimin befriended Jihyo and Gummy, the two other females in the company. For the two older females, having Jimin around them made them feel the younger’s energy, brightening their days up by a notch. The three females were soon known as the ‘Three-Ji’s’ within the company.

“Look at the newlywed.” Jihyo teased as Jimin approached them.

“Unnie, please don’t tease me.” Jimin said embarrassingly as she scratched the back of her neck.

The two older women laughed.

“What is it that you wanted to ask?” Gummy asked. “You sounded so desperate on the phone.”

Jimin opened and closed it again. “Can we take this somewhere else?” she asked.

Jihyo and Gummy exchanged glances before agreeing to Jimin’s request. Minutes later, they were in Jimin’s own, exclusive recording studio that the CEO had granted her after seeing her achievements since her pre-debut days.

“So,” Jihyo started. “Can you talk now?”

Jimin cleared and looked at the other two with nervous eyes. She took a breath before asking the long-waited question.

“What do I do on a date?” she asked bravely. That question had been swimming inside her brain for hours after hearing about the next recording session with Taekwoon. She had no idea what she would do on an occasion like this. That was why she was so desperate to meet Jihyo and Gummy.

As if on cue, both Jihyo and Gummy started giggling. Jimin blinked at their reactions and bit her lower lip anxiously.

“Aigoo, our little girl is really growing up!” Jihyo exclaimed after calming down.

“Unnie~ I’m being serious!” Jimin whined, thinking that they weren’t taking her seriously.

“Baby girl, you’re really nervous, aren’t you?” Gummy smiled. “But you know, there really isn’t anything we can help you on in this matter.”

“Why?” Jimin asked with wide eyes. “But unnie, you’re both females, why can't you help me?”

Jihyo smiled at her in a motherly way. “Each person has a different dating style and what we do on dates might be completely different to how you want your dates to be like.” she explained. “Plus, youngsters nowadays do different things than what we used to do!”

“Exactly!” Gummy grinned. “Just go and be yourself, Jimin-ah.”

“LEO HYUNG!” Ken barged into the said male’s room. Taekwoon looked up from his tablet annoyingly. “WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME THAT YOU HAVE A DATE?”

Taekwoon ignored Ken’s words and simply returned his attention back to the electronic device. He had learnt from all these years that in order to get Ken to shut up, the best thing to do was to ignore him. Soon, he would get bored and would eventually leave you alone.

To Ken’s luck and Taekwoon’s dismay, N made his way inside the room as well. Ken’s eyes lit up at the sight of the leader.

“Taekwoon-ah,” N started. “You have a date soon, right?” Taekwoon ignored him. “You know, we’re not asking for much but please, take care of her, okay?”

Taekwoon looked up from the tablet and blinked at his friend, wondering why he was nagging like he normally does.

“BUT!” Taekwoon wanted to take his thoughts back. “YOU HAVE TO TELL US EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS!”

The man with few words rolled his eyes and stood up from his chair. The gathered his belongings together in his bag as he shut N and Ken’s voices out from his brain. He silently exited the room with the other two trailing behind him, still telling him to do this and that on the date. Taekwoon turned around and glared at the two chatterboxes for the last time before making his way out of their dorm.

“Are they going on a date today?” Danny asked as soon as the director gave him the signal to.

“Yes they are!” Misun replied. She was clearly excited to see the development between the new couple.

“Yah~ I’m so jealous of Leo-ssi.” Danny sighed. “Jimin-ssi is such a lovely girl!”

“I want to go on a date too!” Jongmin joined in. Immediately, the production team added a few dark clouds above their heads for a comical effect.

“The problem is,” Nayoung started, “If the two of you take Jimin-ssi on a date, it’ll look like a father taking his daughter out for a walk.”

The studio burst into laughter as the two male MCs hung their heads in disappointment.

Jimin increased her speed as she took a look at her phone. She was about fifteen minutes behind schedule because the magazine interview had ended later than expected. She bit her lips as she quickened her pace a little more.

In the distance, Taekwoon was standing by a lamp post, waiting for his wife to appear. He had been there for more than twenty minutes already and yet, his phone remained in his pocket. He didn’t want Jimin to see him playing with his phone while waiting for her – he thought that was a rude thing to do while waiting for his date.

“I am so sorry!” Jimin apologised as soon as she stopped in front of Taekwoon. She was dressed in a thin graphic t-shirt with an orange/red cardigan on top. She wore a pair of short jeans that stopped at her upper thighs. On her feet, she wore a pair of worn out converse that gave her causal look.

“It’s fine.” Taekwoon replied. He was wearing a white t-shirt that had a faded graphic in the middle. With that, he wore a pair of black jeans that hugged his legs and a pair of comfy vans to finish the look off.

“Did you wait long?” Jimin asked, hoping that she wasn’t that late.

“It’s fine.” he repeated. “I was late too.”

“Why did you lie?” the PD asked. It was time for the individual interviews.

“I didn’t want her to feel bad for being late.” Taekwoon replied.

“Do you think she knows?”

Instead of speaking, Taekwoon raised his shoulders and shrugged.

“Of course I knew he lied!” Jimin exclaimed with wide eyes. The staff members looked at her with equally wide eyes, wondering how she knew.

“How did you know?” the PD asked.

“Well… it’s more like a feeling. It’s like he didn’t want me to feel bad about arriving late so he made it up, saying he was late too.” Jimin asked. “I think he’s the type to say white lies to make a girl feel better because of something she did.”

“Gosh, their chemistry is unbelievable!” Nayoung grinned from ear to ear. “This couple is really going to entertain us!”

“I know!” Misun agreed. “The production team really chose well for this show!”

As soon as they greeted each other, they received the signal from the VJs to start walking around, despite not telling them where exactly to go.

“Err… where are we going?” Jimin asked. She was never told where they would be going, the only information that was given to her was that they were to go on a date and that was it.

“I don’t have any plans.” Taekwoon admitted after staying silent for a few moments. “I’m sorry if you're disappointed.”

Jimin blinked at Taekwoon. She was surprised by his truthfulness. Apparently, at a time like this, the guy would make something up in order to look good in front of their date but Taekwoon did the exact opposite and told her the truth.

“It’s alright!” she laughed a little. “To be honest, I have absolutely no idea what we’re supposed to do on a date or in a relationship.” she looked at the ground as they continued walking aimlessly.

Taekwoon nodded at her words. “So you’ve never had a boyfriend before?” he asked carefully, not wanting to upset her in any way.

“Nope.” she replied shortly. “Is that a good thing or a bad thing?”

“I guess it’s a good thing.” Taekwoon responded. “It just shows how dedicated you are to your career.”

Jimin smiled gratefully but an idea suddenly popped up in her head. “But how do you know that it’s because of my career that I’ve never had a boyfriend before?”

Taekwoon was taken aback by her words. Since he couldn’t think of something to say, he just shrugged.

Jimin grinned at his response. They were on the stage where they could tease each other openly – that was definitely a good thing for them.

“Let me ask you then, have you ever had a girlfriend before?” Jimin looked up at her husband, who was a good fifteen centimetres taller than her.

Taekwoon decided to not answer her as a payback from her cheekiness just moments ago. He pretended to not hear her and purposely looked around as if he was checking out the area they were in. Jimin puffed her cheeks up in frustration as she caught onto what Taekwoon was trying to do.

The VJs in front of them came to a stop as the PD walked towards them, giving them a familiar looking envelope before retreated back into the rest of the crew.

Jimin received the envelope and opened it. She started to read the contents of the card.

“The reason why this card is in your hands is because, as we have guessed, the two of you have planned nothing.” Jimin paused and raised a brow at the PD before continuing. “Therefore, we have planned something for the day. Please go to the following address to start your day. Have fun~”

Jimin handed the card to Taekwoon as she looked at the PD.

“PD-nim, the card doesn’t say what the place is.” Jimin said. “Only the address is written there!”

The PD chuckled. “The address is all you need.” he said. “Now, follow us so we can lead you to your new car.”

The couple’s eyes widened at the mention of a new car.

“We have a car?” Jimin asked happily while jumping up and down, clapping her hands like a child. “We have a car!” she turned to Taekwoon and gave him one of her famous grins. It was obvious to him that she was as excited as hell.

They soon started to walk in the direction of the car and Taekwoon noticed how the number of staff around them had decreased. He concluded to himself that those crew members must be making their way to their destination.

“Can you drive?” Jimin asked as they walked.

Taekwoon turned to look at her and nodded. “I got my licence a little after debut.” he added.

“I see~” Jimin nodded and just as she wanted to say something, she spotted a shiny new vehicle parked on an empty parking lot. Her eyes lit up as she turned to Taekwoon. “That has to be it!”

Taekwoon laid his eyes on the said car and followed Jimin as the latter had already sped off.

A brand new panther black Audi SQ5 was parked in front of them. Jimin couldn’t stop fussing over the car and Taekwoon couldn’t help but walk a circle around it. When he received the key from the PD, he unlocked the car immediately and opened the door to the driver’s side. He took a good look at the interior and the dashboard before hoping in.

By the time Jimin was finished with looking at the exterior of the car, Taekwoon was already playing with the different functions from inside. When Jimin climbed in, she saw how Taekwoon was pressing buttons and turning nobs. She knew he was just as excited as she was.

“How come you fussed over the car as if you have never seen something like that in your life?” the PD asked. “Surely since you're close with JYJ, you're used to expensive and luxurious cars.”

Jimin laughed at the mention of her seniors.

“It’s different!” she answered. “Because we can call that ‘our car’, the feeling is different than just seeing a nice looking car, if you get what I mean.”

“No, we don’t get what you mean!” Nayoung said for the rest of the studio as none of them understood Jimin’s reasoning.

“Is the production team favouring them?” Jongmin asked. “I mean, look at that car!”

“I’ll join the show if I get to drive a car like that!” Danny raised his hand.

“No one wants you on the show now!” Misun scoffed.

After a good fifteen minutes, the pair finally settled in the car, well… mainly Taekwoon. The wave of excitement had passed and they have calmed down a lot. Now that they have remembered the fact that they were going on a date, Taekwoon quickly set up the built-in navigation system that will lead them to their destination.

Jimin was still amazed by the interior of the car as Taekwoon was getting the car ready for their road trip. He turned to his wife and couldn’t help but chuckle at her actions.

“Omo! Did you see that smile?” Nayoung squealed.

“Aigoo~ he’s actually a big softie inside!” Misun cooed at the scene.

“Girls love guys like that!” Nayoung exclaimed and Misun nodded to agree.

Jongmin and Danny could only share questioning gazes and shrug.

“When did you get the time to learn how to drive?” Jimin asked as Taekwoon pulled the car out of the parking lot. “You just debuted at that time, right?”

“We had a small break after our first promotions.” he answered, looking left and right for oncoming cars. “I just thought that it was the best time to because we were only going to get busier as soon as the break ends.”

Jimin nodded at his answer. His decision seemed sensible to her.

“Do you want to get you licence?” Taekwoon asked.

“I do!” Jimin answered. “It’d be so nice to be able to drive around!”

“Let’s go get your license when you’re ready then.” Taekwoon said as he turned left.

Jimin’s smile couldn’t have gotten any wider as she heard his words. It had moved her so much because it was the first time for him to say something like that to her. It was as if he just made a promise to her, a promise that he will never break.

I am so sorry for the lack of updates! I’m finally back with my laptop and god, I miss writing this!!
