“Arron…” Gui Gui whined. “My ankle hurts, can you slow down?”

“I’m sorry, but I’m going to be late for class. And just to remind you. I’m not your boyfriend.” Arron’s old, cold personality came back.

“Why do you always have to be so cool? What happened to the Arron I was with last night?” She screamed through the hallway.

Arron walked to his seat. After opening his books he became stuck within his thoughts again. Thinking of the things that Gui Gui screamed to him in the hallway. “Why is it that I can become the real me when I’m with her?”

After school as usual, Arron walked to the small café near the school. But surprisingly this time Jiro tag along.

“I didn’t think that you even know what a café is.” Arron said.

“Dude, beside bar’s and girl’s you’re the only one I care for.” Jiro put his arm around his buddy.

“What is it that makes you want to come with me today?”

“I just wanted to catch up with my buddy. I know, I know that lately I’ve been too caught up with other things, but don’t worry I’ll never forget about you.” Jiro patted Arron on the back.

“Just say it, what do you want from me?” Arron asked, he just knew Jiro too well.

“Well, you know… Xiao Man is Gui Gui’s best friend right? And to help my girl out I just wanted to ask if you like Gui Gui.” But really Jiro only wanted to ask the question for himself.

“So, technically you’re saying that Gui Gui went to ask Xiao Man, to ask you if I like her?” Arron tried to avoid the question.

“Yeah, so do you? I know that you do… you’re not the type of guy that helps a girl out for nothing, and bringing her to your house? Totally not you.”

“I just find it comfortable when I’m with her. She’s different than any other girl that I’ve met. I don’t know how to explain it.” A smile crept up Arron’s face.

“You’re officially stuck. You like her.” Jiro yelled. “I didn’t think that you’d ever have this day.”

“What do you mean stuck?”

“Stuck as in you can stop thinking about her. And that smile just tells me you’re not going to get out of it anytime soon.”

Later that night…

***Ring*** Gui Gui’s phone rang.

“Hello?” She answered.

“Can you come out so we can talk?”

“I thought that after last night, you’d call it offs. Why would you want to see me? Aren’t you supposed to be with my best friend Xiao Man… or any other girlfriends that you have for that matter?”

“You know that they’re only for fun. I thought that we already agreed on that.”

“Yeah, but when it comes to my best friend then everything is different. I can’t stand you anymore. It’s over. Everything is over… please don’t call me ever again.” Gui Gui cried though the last few words, knowing that if she wanted to get Jiro to herself she had to use all of her strength to get him thinking of her. This means breaking up with him before he breaks up with her, and then going after his best friend to make him jealous.
