Chapter 4
Memories of Tears and Love12 midnight Arron’s phone rings.
***Ring***
“Hello?” Arron picked up the phone while trying to open his sleeping eyes.
“Arron, save me… I’m at the lake.” Gui Gui cried.
“What? Why are you out this late?” Arron was still half asleep trying to get clear of the situation.
“Ahhhh!!!” The phone hung up.
That was when Arron quickly sat up on his bed, to realize that Gui Gui was in trouble.
He quickly got dressed and ran for the lake that was only minutes away.
“Gui Gui!”He yelled in the dark. “Where are you? Can you hear me?”
“Ya Yun, I’m here…” She yelled, while flashing her phone so that Arron can find her.
“I’m coming…” He ran towards the faded light.
As he walked up to her seeing that she was on the grass holding onto her ankle as if she hurt it.
“What happened? Are you alright?” He kneeled down close to her to see if she was alright.
“I think I sprained my ankle. It hurts, I didn’t know what to do, but the first person that I thought of was you. So, I called you. What can we do? I can’t walk.” She pouted.
“The only thing is that you’re okay. You scared me you know that? Why’d you scream over the phone?” He breathed with relieve.
“I heard a dog bark so, I got scared and dropped the phone.” She explained.
“Here I carry you back to my place. Get on.” He turned his back for her to get on.
“He, He I knew that not you’re not so heartless.” She got on and Arron began walking towards his house.
“Why are you even out so late? You know it’s dangerous for a girl like you to be out here alone?”
“I couldn’t sleep so I thought that I’d come back here to look at stars.” She pointed out to the sky.
“Well, at least find someone else to go with you. Don’t you think that your parent’s would be worried?”
“My parents are always on business trips or at parties. They never have time for me. I’m use to being alone.” She shrugged.
They finally got to Arron’s house. He opened the door and slowly put her on the closes chair that he could find.
“Let me have a look at your ankle.” Arron slowly took off her shoes “I think it’s just a small sprain, it should be fine after we get some ice on it. Wait for me here.” Arron walked off to the kitchen to get some ice.
“Wow, your house looks really nice.” Gui Gui praised.
“Yeah, but just like you, my parents aren’t home very often either.” He walked up with a small pack of ice. “This might hurt so watch it.”
“Owww, it hurts.” Gui Gui pouted.
They looked into each other’s eyes, and slowly Gui Gui leaned down, pressing her lips up against Arron’s. But then all of a sudden Gui Gui pulled away.
“That’s cold.” Gui Gui pushed the bag of ice away, and held onto her ankle.
“Oh, Sorry. You okay?” Arron looked at her ankle.
As he concentrated on the ankle she kissed him on his red cheeks.
“Hehe, your cheeks are red. You like me?”
“What are you talking about? It’s just that you’re heavy, making my cheeks red.” He picked up the pack of ice and walked off to the kitchen again.
“Oww…” He heard the loud voice from the kitchen.
“What? What happened?” He rushed to see her.
“Nothing, I just wanted to see how worried you’d get.” She giggled.
“That’s not funny.” He said with a frown, and then he carried her to the guest room.
