Kari was absolutely pissed when she got home, even with Suzy's and JJ's attempts to appease, she was still a boiling mess.
"Kari-ah..." JJ sighed
"They don't even understand" Kari scoffed "how could they? Min Yoongi, I swear when I get some dirt on his -"
"Kari-ah, just calm down" Suzy said
"Calm down?! I can't calm down!" Kari shouted "don't ing tell me to calm down!"
"Don't raise your voice at me" Suzy snapped "I will slap you to-"
"Guys" JJ said putting her fingers to her temple "this isn't the time for you two to be fighting"
"I'm sorry" Kari muttered "just, unnies I need time for myself"
"Alright" JJ nodded "we'll see you tomorrow?"
"Maybe. I'll text you" Kari said
"don't do anything stupid maknae" Suzy said as they left. Kari locked the door and changed into some pajamas before going to her backyard and climbing up her treehouse. Kari hasn't been up there in ages, but she remembered telling her parents
"I'm not living in this house until I get a treehouse like the one from home"
Her family's treehouse in Japan basically holds her most precious memories from when she was a child. Even though it's not the actual treehouse or an exact replica, it still gave her a comfort of home and it relaxed her.

Just as expected, it took the whole weekend to calm the stubborn girl as she dreaded going to school on Monday.
"Hey" JJ said nudging Kari, who was at her locker "you alright?"
"Yeah. Watched some animes and worked out the whole weekend, I'm fine" the younger girl nodded
"Good" she smiled "so Suzy and I were thinking, after your practice today wanna-"
"Omo! Kari-ah! There you are!" Byul shouted surprising them
"Dear God" Kari said "why are you in such a hurry? school barely ended"
"Everyone's talking about yours and Mark's showdown on Friday. Everyone" Byul squealed
"Oh! And that kiss you had with the guy on Friday! Who was he?!" Sumin shouted joining them
"I can't believe you would say such about Mark oppa" another girl came up to her
"Okay Dani, I'm going to stop you right there" JJ sneered "I can't believe you even had the guts to go up to Kari"
"I never asked for you opinion Hwang Jiyeon" Dani said
"And I never asked for you existence but we can't always get what we want" JJ smiled sarcastically "now go shoo and mess around with Ami"
"That existence one was brilliant" Kari smirking giving JJ a high-five
"I know, even I was amazed" JJ chuckled
"Kari-ah! Jackson is talking about you in the gym!" Nara said running up to them
"He's what?" Sumin said
"oh hell no" Kari gritted her teeth stomping her way towards the gym, her heels echoing through the hallways
"-she can't beat Mark. He's a natural god-given talent" Jackson said obnoxiously "she got injured a billion times. Mark? One and done"
"Does he seriously want a beating" JJ growled clenching her fists
"there's only 6 of them" Kari counted
"Where's Jr?" Byul asked
"Not there obviously" JJ spat
"Soyoon unnie's not here either" Kari said
"she told me she was working on some new rap material in the music room" JJ said
"-and let's not forget Kari's little flop during the beginning of sophomore year-"
"Okay Jackson Wang! I suggest you shut your ing mouth before you want a mafia to come and kill you in your sleep!" JJ gritted her teeth
"I'm not scared of a girl" he scoffed
"Jackson, chill down" JB said "JJ isn't someone to be messed with"
"You're about to get your kicked by one" JJ growled
"get trained by your daddy?" Jackson smirked
"Okay, that's it. You've crossed the line" she glared going up to him and giving him a hard punch "you wanna hit a girl Wang? Come on, I ing dare you"
"unnie" Kari said holding her back
"Jackson-ah, don't" Mark said grabbing his shoulder
"die in hell" JJ spat on Jackson before exiting the gym, shoving past anyone in her way.
"Kari, he didn't-"
"control that dog of yours Mark Tuan" she glared
"but I-"
"don't you all have anything better to do afterschool?!" Kari glared at the bystanders before chasing after JJ. Kari knew very well where JJ was headed. "unnie! jamkamman!"

Suzy and Jr missed the whole drama and were filming their own movie in the music room
"what did you think?" Suzy smiled as she finished her rap
"impressive" he nodded "but wouldn't it be better with some melody?"
"I'm not good with composing, just rap" she said sheepishly
"move over" Jr said sitting next to her. He began to play the piano
"you never told me you played the piano" Suzy said
"Youngjae just taught me, I'm not really good" Jr said and played some chords "go rap again"
The girl obeyed and recited her rap while Jr played on the piano.

"we should perform a stage together" Jr said "maybe accidentally get paired for music?"
"accidentally" Suzy chuckled leaning in to give him a kiss.
"it could happen" he shrugged pulling her in closer
"-unnie! jamkamman!" Kari yelled from outside
"oh? isn't that JSK?" Jr said looking out the door
"mm, that was Kari" Suzy said standing up, she peeked her head out and noticed that Kari was running towards the rooftop, JJ ahead of her. ""
"ka, it must be important" Jr said noticing her hesitation to leave.

"unnie!" Kari shouted again banging on the door to the rooftop.
"Jiyeon-ah!" Suzy shouted
"bwoyah, unnie when'd you get here?" Kari asked surprised
"just now" Suzy said "how can you run so fast?"
"I'm an athlete" Kari said "Jiyeon unnie! We're coming in"
"what are you-oh !" Suzy shouted as Kari kicked the door down "the door!"
"eh" Kari said barging in. She was about to yell, when she saw JJ crouched down on her knees in the corner "unnie.."
"what even happened?" Suzy asked
"in the gym, Jackson brought up unnie's dad" Kari sighed
"that " Suzy groaned. The whole school knew that JJ was the daughter of a mafia leader. Key word here, was. Even still, they didn't know the pain that she went through just because of her birth status. JJ's umma ran away when she was younger, resulting in having her grow up in the 'hood'. JJ never got to play with doll houses or play dress up, she played with weapons and did safety drills with her dad. He knew that he couldn't give his daughter a safe life, every day lived with caution and alarm, but he still tried to protect her with his love.
She got kidnapped and tortured once, when she was a freshman in high school, by her appa's enemies, she was missing for 3 days, but for JJ, it seemed like 3 months. On the fourth day, her dad and his gang infiltrated the kidnap place. Thankfully, JJ and most of her dad's gang got out alive. But on that day..she also lost her father.
JJ hid her face and cried endlessly into her knees. Suzy sat down in front of her and let her cry onto her shoulder
"gwenchana, gwenchana" Suzy whispered patting her head
"they're going to pay" Kari clenched her fists "all of them"
"Kari-ah wait, can't we talk about this?" Suzy asked not wanting her to hurt Jr.
"talk about what? Jiyeon unnie's bawling her eyes out because of Jackson! Unnie, what exactly is your deal? You keep sneaking out and you keep asking us to calm down when it gets to GOT7. Are you secretly in cahoots with them?" Kari asked
"I'm not" Suzy said
"well then are you dating one of them?" Kari asked "what are you hiding from us?!"
"just...what are you going to do?" Suzy asked
"something along the lines of cut his off" Kari said
"don't be too harsh" Suzy said "do what you need to"
"I'll get revenge for you unnie" Kari said to JJ before storming downstairs. She slammed the gym doors open, not surprised that GOT7 was still there. What the girl wasn't expecting was that Bangtan was there with them. Her front faltered a bit at the stare of all 14 boys.
"ane" Jimin said "what are you doing here?"
"I go to school here, Park Jimin" Kari crossed her arms "what are you guys doing here?"
"calm down, we invited them over" Jr said
"the gym isn't your personal spot to hang out, there's practice here later" Kari said
"don't you think we know that? Mark hyung has practice the same time as you" JB said
"ane, are you mad?" J-Hope pouted
"Hoseok-ah hajima, leave the aegyo to Jungkook" Kari said
"you mad Ari?" Suga asked
"yes, I'm mad you little " Kari glared
"wah Ari, still as stubborn and hot-tempered as always" Jin said
"shut up, oppa" Kari scoffed
"what do you want Kari?" JB asked
"what do I want?" she asked "to cut off his "
"my ?" Jackson asked "why?"
"why?" Kari said "you say all that earlier and you dare to say why"
"did I say anything false?" Jackson asked
"no, but you made my best friend cry and for that, you will pay" Kari said
"ane's gonna attack!" V shouted and Jungkook restricted her arms
"nwara!" Kari thrashed her arms around
"wow dejavu" Jackson said
"hyung, don't" Youngjae said
"doesn't this scene look familiar Kari?" Jackson asked "when JB was holding you back after Mark told the school your text messages"
"Jackson" JB said
"what did they say again about your deepest secrets? In Japan, you gave a to-"
"stop!" Kari shouted feeling her legs give up "just stop!"
"ane!" Jungkook said surprised. It took them a minute to find out that she was crying.
"I thought the great Kari doesn't cry?" Jackson said
"control yourself" Jr scolded
"apologize" Mark said quietly to Jackson
"Shireo" Jackson said
"I don't even want your apology" Kari said "apologize after your gym teacher violates you in front of the basketball team. Apologize after the whole varsity treats you like a ing toy. Apologize after you get kicked out of your one passion."
"Ari-ya." Suga whispered
"Apologize to Jiyeon unnie after you get kidnapped and tortured for 3 days, after a gang kills your father in front of your eyes, after your mother runs away and leaves you. Apologize after you know that basically every day of your life, there's a chance that you'll get shot, stabbed, murdered" Kari cried angrily and pointed to Mark "and you! You said I could trust you! You were the first person I ever told about that, and you betray me and reveal it in front of the whole university!"
"I'm sorry" Mark muttered
"do you think a sorry can fix all that happened?!" Kari yelled
"does your parents know?" Jin asked
"iie*, oka* and otou* don't know. It was just luck that I escaped that high school in senior year." Kari said "and they won't ever know, okay?"
"where are you going?" Jimin asked
"home" Kari said
"but practice-"
"I'm not going" Kari said bitterly removing herself from Jungkook's hug and leaving through the gym exit.
