"ugh this kills me!" Kari screamed as she lay in bed. The doctors told her last night that she should refrain from playing for at least a month. She rolled over and got her phone, going online search plane tickets. "yeobosayo? deh this is Fuyuta Akari. I just ordered a first class plane ticket on Wednesday to...ah deh, deh 2 weeks. Put it under my card juseyo. Ah aniyo, don't put it under my name...deh kamsahamnida, email it to XXX. Deh kasmsahamnida"

The girl was asleep when her room door opened

"aigoo aigoo, look at her sleeping peacefully" Byul said as she jumped on the bed

"rise and shine princess, it's 6 pm" Sojin said

"mmf what" Kari groaned as Nara pulled her up

"we won third place" Jinae smiled "it's not first, but it's good enough without our libero"

"that's good" Kari yawned "what did your first opponents place?"

"7th" Boram giggled

"what about the boys?" Kari asked

"first, because that's how we roll" one of the guys, Taejun, said as his team entered the room

"how you doing Ai?" Mark asked sitting at the foot of her bed

"tired" she stretched "I just woke up"

"yah, do you usually sleep like this? You're basically " Mark scolded

"I'm wearing a sports bra and spandex, calm yourself" Kari said "besides, what's it to you?"

"I'm watching out for you..chingu" Mark said

"I can watch out for myself" Kari said

"okay, if you're doe bickering" the girls coach said "we're having an early dinner out here before heading back home"

"take a quick shower, all of you, and get changed into the semi-formal clothes we told you to bring" the boys coach said before dismissing all of them. Kari yawned again and scratched her hair before stretching her arms and standing up, heading to the bathroom. The girl dried her hair, wearing it down, put on some light makeup, before changing into a white dress with a kimono cardigan, finishing her look with white heels.

The girl unplugged her phone from the charger and put it in her clutch before heading downstairs. The time now was 3 o'clock. They were going to leave at 5 and get home around 8.

"someone went all out" Jinae said as she and the seniors arrived at the lobby "someone to impress?"

"aniyo" Kari shook her head "I just planned to wear this, unnie"

"whatever you say" Mei snickered

"chincha" Kari whined. The seniors continued to until everyone arrived downstairs

"Everyone ready?" the boys' coach asked

"deh"

"let's go" the girls' coach smiled, leading the way with her brother.

After about an hour and a half of stuffing theirselves, both teams checked out of the hotel and gathered their things, waiting in the lobby for the coach bus. Kari was sitting down alone, a couple seats away from the group, checking her phone

"Fuyuta Akari, pleasure to see you again" a woman said coming up to her "it's a shame that you couldn't play the remainder of the tournament"

"I'm sorry, who are you?" Kari asked

"how rude of me, I am the coach of Tokyo Athletics. The #1 sports college in Japan. We played against your team yesterday" she said

"ah. Konnichiwa-Gozaimasu" Kari bowed standing up

"how is your ankle doing?" she asked

"it's fine" Kari muttered

"oh coach" Mizuki said walking up to them "the team's packing"

"that's good" the coach said "you know Akari, am I right?"

"hai" Mizuki nodded

"we're not really friends" Kari said bluntly "we just know each other. Rather...Mizuki knows me and I forgot about her"

"I see" the coach said amused "well, you played incredibly in the first game, even with your injury. Your team is blessed to have you"

"Arigato-Gozaimasu, I'm blessed to have my team" Kari bowed her head. the coach smiled before leaving the two girls

"I can't believe you-"

"I'm getting really tired of you and it's barely been 5 minutes. I better not see you in Japan" Kari said cutting her off

"believe me, I don't intend on running into you" Mizuki said

"hold on. What's your last name Mizuki?" Kari asked

"Nagoyo. How is this relevant in any way?" Mizuki rolled her eyes

"Nagoyo? Hm, your family works for mine, don't they?" Kari crossed her arms

"I don't know what you're talking about" Mizuki said

"I remember my papa telling me something about the Nagoyo's screwing up a business meeting once" Kari said

"you little-"

"my best friends knows how to fight. Don't even try to slap me" Kari said grabbing her wrist

"Ai" Mark said quickly coming up and giving Kari a back hug "Hello Mizuki. How are you? You played well today"

"I'm doing fine. Thank you. You played good too" Mizuki said

"I'm sorry, but I need to steal Kari from you. We need to go" Mark gave her a smile

"that's quite alright" Mizuki said

"let's go Ai?" Mark asked taking her hand, leading her away from Mizuki and to the group

"aye, what's with the hand holding?" Taejun cheered

"Mark, kiss me" Kari hissed quietly

"what?" he spat

"do it" she said cupping his cheeks. His eyes widened a bit as she pressed her lips onto his. Mark subconsciously put his hands onto her waist and kissed her back. Mizuki saw the scene and angrily stomped off into the elevator.

"woah" Aeji said "what did we just miss?"

"She's gone" Mark said opening his eyes. Kari pulled away

"komawo" she said getting her luggage. The two teams boarded the bus, hype still coming from the little scene that Mark-Kari-Mizuki caused

"so, are you two a couple?" the boys' coach asked

"aniyo coach" Mark said

"bwoh? you two can't kiss like that and say you're not a couple!" the girls' coach replied

"majayo!" Nara shouted

"Mark was just helping me with something" Kari said

"yah! just go out!" another boy, Kihoon shouted

"Markari! Markari! Markari!" the bus chanted - even the driver joined in

"Mar-what?" Mark asked as he was pushed to sit next to Kari in the back

"nothing" she said plugging in her headphones "just ignore them"

Kari was quickly joined by JSK and 15& when the bus dropped them off at the gym. Mark was joined by GOT7. The whole group of them hung out until 10 past 1 am. Kari went home and checked her suitcases. They were readily packed. Her flight the next morning to Osaka was set for 10 am. The girl quickly changed into her pajamas, set her alarm for 7 am, and crashed like a light.

The next morning, she woke up by her alarm and got dressed

"yeobosyao?" Kari answered her phone, putting it on speaker, as she applied makeup "oh unnie"

"are you ready for the airport?" Suzy asked

"I can't believe we aren't going to see you for 2 weeks" JJ said

"it'll breeze by, promise" Kari laughed "and yes, I'm just finishing makeup and I'll call a taxi"

"Be safe. Have fun. Take pictures" Suzy said

"Bring home Japanese candy and presents" JJ said

"I will, unnie" Kari said "um...are you guys with GOT7?"

"aniyo, I'm meeting up with Jr later though. JJ might come depending on her mood" Suzy chuckled "wae?"

"it's nothing. I'm all ready now. I'll talk to you guys when I land" Kari said

"arasso, have fun!" JJ shouted

"call us" Suzy said hanging up. Kari blew a raspberry and checked the time, 8:30. It takes about 30 minutes to get to the airport, but she has first class access so it'll be easy for her to get everything done. The girl called a taxi and rolled her luggage out into the front yard before locking the house. Before Kari knew it, it was 9:45 and she was sitting down at the gate waiting area, drinking a cup of coffee. She was listening to music when her phone rang

"yeobosyao?" Kari answered

"yah Kari-ah" Mark said "what is this about a plane ticket to LA?"

"ah, you finally got it" she smirked "I booked it yesterday when you were playing"

"wae?" he asked

"because...it's not fair that I'm seeing my family for spring break and you're not" Kari said

"I can't accept this ticket, cancel the flight" Mark said

"Tuan, I'm giving this to you as a present. Pack your stuff and fly out to LA to see your family. Wednesday, 1 pm. Stay they for 2 weeks during break and come back to Korea for the rest of the semester. There's no harm in that" Kari said

"why are you doing this?" he asked

"friends pity friends. They also give each other gifts" Kari said

"I-I don't know how I can repay you" Mark said

"you don't have to" she said "just consider it your birthday present or something. A token of my kindness"

"we will now start boarding for flight 127 for Osaka, Japan" the stewardess said

"I gotta go Tuan. Go to LA. If you don't, I'll track you down" Kari said hanging up

"you're joking" JB said "Kari did what?"

"she booked me a ticket to LA. First class" Mark said showing the guys his phone

"I thought about you said during the bus ride on Saturday. Now, you don't have to envy me seeing my family. You can see yours too. Do some good and don't make your umma and appa worry about you. Here's a first class ticket to LA, to and from Incheon airprot. Have fun, Tuan. Happy spring break. Oh and thanks for helping me with Mizuki, it was fun" Jr recited

"is she serious?" Youngjae asked

"this isn't a con right?" Jackson asked "she's not really sending you to like...Somalia or something?"

"I just talked to her" Mark said "It's not a trick. She's really sending me to LA"

"then what are we waiting for hyung?" Bambam asked

"we'll help you pack!" Yugyeom cheered
