“Minho.”

Minho raises his face from the book and look at Luna who was frowning.

“Yes.”

“What’s going on with Taemin?”

Minho felt the pang of pain when Luna utters his name.

“What do you mean?”

He asks nervously.

“Do you realize his changes?”

Minho sighs.

He nods.

“He ruined my friend’s life and feigning ignorance when I ask him.”

Minho widens his eyes.

“What? How?”

“He slept around with girls, especially ones from Korea. You know Yoonji right?”

Minho nods after thinking for a while.

She is the one who confess that she has a crush on him.

“He slept with her too.”

Luna said sadly.

“The girl comes crying to me.”

“How can she end up with him?”

“As usual I guess. Luring the girls with his sweetness.”

Minho sighs once again, louder this time.

“Don’t you want to do something?”

“I can’t.”

“Why?”

“He drew the line between us.”

Luna furrowed her eyebrows.

“Mwo?”

“You heard me right. He drew the line. I’m the poor guy that survives by scholarship while he is the prince. We can’t be friends anymore. Our gap is too wide Luna.”

Luna sighs.

"He said that?"

Minho nods.

"He is right. We are totally in different world."

“You still have us Minho. And maybe he’ll change back to the old Taemin that we know sometimes?”

“I hope so too.”

“Cheer up. Do you want to join us for dinner tonight? One of my friend will join us.”

“Sure.”

“Meet you at 10.00.”

Minho gives Luna a smile and continues reading his book.

He was scribbling something on his note book when he heard the familiar voice greeted him.

“You heard?”

He heard the screeches sound of the chair and look up when he saw Taemin sits down with a smirk.

“The innocent Yoonji is not innocent anymore. She is so wild on bed.”

He chuckles.

Minho fingers curl into a fist while he looks down.

“Do you want to know my next target?”

Minho gritted his teeth.

He is not answering.

Instead he stares in his eyes.

It was full of anger.

It was full of revenge.

“It’s Mimi.”

He laughs and left Minho as he walks to Mimi.

The girl who always thrown herself to Minho.

Minho watch as he leans to the girl’s ear and whispers something which made her blush.

He then snakes his arm around her waist and walks out of the study room with Mimi.

He saw Mimi glances at him, maybe to watch his reaction.

“Should I go and save her?”

He whispers to himself which heard by Jonghyun.

“Don’t.”

Jonghyun stops him from standing and take the seat in front of him.

“Don’t do it.”

Jonghyun shakes his head.

“He changed. Totally changed.”

“Am I the reason hyung?”

“We all try our best to be the first. Why can’t he think straight? He got the brain.”

Minho stayed silent.

“Don’t think too much.”

Minho nods.

“He doesn’t want me anymore.”

He said sadly.

“Maybe this won’t last long. Just continues do your best. Don’t take it as distraction. Do well.”

“What about the girls? He ruined them because they like me.”

“The girls got brain too Minho. They can think clearly. They choose to be fooled. Why is that going to do with you?”

Minho sighs once again.

“Ignore him. Aishh. I regret introducing you to him. I thought he will help around.”

“Kenchana hyung.”

Minho smiles and pats Jonghyun’s shoulder.

“I still have you.”

“Deh. You still have me. Luna and I will always be there for you. So, cheer up neh.”

Minho nods with a heavy heart.

“Come back Taemin.”

He whispers to himself now for only himself to hear.

“What is wrong with this boy?”

Mrs. Lee shakes her head when she enters the room.

The paint was white and lime green before but now its dark brown and black.

She opens his wardrobe just to gasps at his clothes.

“My son, what have gotten with you?”

She sits on the bed while the maids clean Taemin’s room.

“Do you know what happen to him Marie?”

“I didn’t madam.”

“I just left for a week and look what happen. When did he start changing the paint?”

“Last three days.”

“Is he thinner?”

“No madam.”

“Did he perhaps suffer from break up?”

“We don’t have idea on that too madam.”

“It’s okay. Clean the mess okay. I’ll come up in a while.”

The maids nod and Mrs. Lee makes her way out of Taemin’s room.

“Don’t you think we have to tell madam about Mr. Taemin bringing home ladies every night when she is away?”

“We need to keep it as a secret. He threatens us not to tell Mrs. Lee.”

“But she is his mom. She must know.”

“Don’t you want to work here anymore Anne?”

“I do.”

“So, you have to keep quiet.”

The younger lady nods and did what she was told. Keeping shut without realizing that Mrs. Lee listens to all of their conversation.

“This is getting bad.”

She walks to her room, shut the door and calls her eldest son.

“Jinki ya.”

Time goes on, Minho and Taemin as well as Luna were on their last year.

Jonghyun had graduated and started a business in Korea.

Taemin still on his path; wrong and dark while Minho always comes up first, leaving him for the second place.

They competed in soccer, Minho’s team won.

They competed in American Football, Minho’s team win as well.

They had to face each other in debate, Minho won again.

They are picking the candidate to go for international forum, Minho gets picked easily.

Taemin was devastated and angry.

“Why it is all him? Why him?”

He shouted one day.

Jinki who happens to just arrives home from airport rushes to his dongsaeng room when he heard him shouting furiously.

“What happen Taem? What’s wrong with you?”

Jinki snaps at Taemin when he saw the condition of his room.

“What did you do to your room?”

“Hyung.”

He look at him with desperation.

“What happen? You are not being yourself.”

“I hate him hyung.”

“Mwo?”

“He makes me looks like a failure.”

“Who did?”

“Him.”

Tell me his name.”

Taemin shakes his head quickly and flops on the bed, pulling his knees together and rested his chin in between it.

“He is my enemy, don’t ask me about him. He ruined my record. He pulls me down from the top.”

“Taemin ah.”

“Please hyung. No. Don’t ask me about him. Please.”

Jinki sighs upon looking at him.

His pleads somehow makes him sad.

He walks to his brother and gives him a hug.

“Alright I won’t.”

He pats his back when Taemin sobs in his embrace while clinging tightly on him.

                                                                                                ***

“No Jinki.”

“Mom, he needs help.”

“I know, but do you want him to be seen as a mental patient?”

“Mom, he is depressed. I think he is okay after I talk to him last year but still, he keeps befriending with those bad guys. They lead him to the negative way.”

“Ara, but he took the meds that my friends prescribe to him.”

“He need proper treatment mom. Eating meds alone won’t do him any good.”

“He is okay.”

“He is not. What if I take him to Korea with me? He can finish his last year there.”

“Jinki yah.”

“Wae mom? Depression is bad. He needs fresh air.”

“You know how ecstatic he is when he gets to study in Cambridge right? He won’t like it if you ask him to come back with you. I’ll make sure he won’t do drugs. I’ll send him to Korea if he took it.”

“Promise me mom?”

“I promise.”

Jinki sighs.

“What about dad?”

“I’ll talk to him.”

Jinki nods.

“As long as I can see my brother in him again.”

Jinki turns from his mom.

“Where are you going?”

“Korea.”

He answers without turning his back and closes his door.
