Pie's life was in danger.  The cops were looking for her. She asked help from Aunt In (she just met at the supermarket two days ago).  Aunt In helped her and hid Pie at her house in Nan where Kim (Aunt In's niece) lived.  Kim lived there alone for a long time tried to get out from her father.
