N’s POV(same time as the end of the chapter before)

I look at the gun in my hand then back to Seohyun; the blood seeping from her side and soaking the cloth I gave her.

Kill her now! One part of me says. The gun rises.

No don’t, just run away. The other says. The gun falls.

What good would that do? The first voice asks.

Just run. I look at the door for a second.

“No.” I whisper.

What do you propose? The first voice asks mockingly.

“I don’t know.” I reply.

It’s your fault she’s hurt. I look back at her and then to her wound. You’re a danger to her.

“I’m not.” I say.

Yes you are, maybe not during the day, what if one night she says not to tie you up, you’d kill her.

“I wouldn’t.” I protest.

You would, you have no control over yourself, over us. Both voices merge together. I look back to the gun, just end it, now is your chance. I lift the gun up and put it against my head.

“N!” Seohyun screams. I look at her and lower my arm for a second. I’m so sorry, goodbye Seohyun, I say silently as I bring it back up, I close my eyes. “Please. N, NO!!!” She screams. I drown the noise out and pull the trigger.
