Lay walked into a vast space. Nice art, a cozy yet architectural look - a cool place to live. “Hey, babe. You here? How you doing?”
Over on the couch, the pretty-yet-icy-looking girl named Krystal was wrapped in a throw blanket watching TV. Her hair is in a cute pony tail.
“Hey, honey. I'm good,” she replied in a strange tone.
Lay went to her and kissed her head, heading straight to the kitchen
“Everything’s okay?” Lay asked.
“Yeah. Just got off the phone,” she sighed.
“You want some tea or something?” he asked.
“It was my sister. She's getting married,” Krystal said.
“Really? That's great. I've always liked that Gary guy. That's really great,” Lay replied from the kitchen.
Krystal looked at him unhappily “You think it's great?”
“Yeah.”
Krystal continued, “So, you think it's great that they're getting married, but you never feel like we're going against nature or something by not getting married?”
In the kitchen, Lay smiled and went to join her on the couch “No, babe. Going against nature is like that cat who started nursing that monkey. We're just two people who aren't married. Let me tell you something; People who get married are not to be trusted.”
Krystal managed a weak smile and replied, “You are so weird.”
“I'm not. You know why? Because if you are so legitimately happy, honestly you wouldn't feel the need to make a big show out of it. You wouldn't have to broadcast it. They do it because they're insecure... and they think getting married's what they're supposed to be doing. So they're lying to themselves and to other people.” said Lay with a comforting smile
Krystal looked at him and let out a weak smile again
“Seriously. Think about you and your friends. Okay? These women you have great relationships with you're close to them, some of them you've known
