Yellow PagesThe days pass by quickly, and Hanbin doesn’t fail to notice the tension growing.
It hasn’t been long when they had a little face-off with JYP trainees, which wasn’t a really good memory for Hanbin. Despite Jinwoo hyung’s petty incident (forgetting the lines of the song) and their -ish dance compared to the JYP’s, Hanbin’s unforgettable—and most lamentable—moment would be that part where he wasn’t able to say what he wanted to say in his rap.
He remembers promising that things like that will never happen again.
Days after, they’re given another new assignment—singing G-Dragon’s songs.
Team B was pretty much excited about it, especially when G-Dragon himself would mentor them kids. It's an honor enough to have their sunbae mentor and advise them on what to do to improve their performances. Hanbin was the most excited.
After deciding on what songs to sing and dance, everything was set.
The six kids swore they were going to make G-Dragon hyung win against Taeyang hyung this time.
Standing in front of their sunbaes was anothing thing.
Hanbin can unambiguously remember his palms sweating and his legs shaking upon meeting their sunbaes backstage minutes before G-Dragon’s concert. The entire Big Bang, 2NE1 and Jinusean were there.
He maintained (thankfully) his composure and avoided stammering.
Before that, the response of the public upon their arrival was surely something. They were screaming and shrieking and shouting their names and oh my god the world knows about us this is actually amazing.
The first battle came in a blink of an eye.
Both teams were born ready, armed with the necessary props and equipped with only the wisest words from their mentors. Hanbin specifically reminded his team members to do their usual thing—do well and most importantly, enjoy.
That, they did.
Thank heavens, team B won the first battle but they couldn’t exactly celebrate and be happy about it knowing their hyungs did the best they could as well. However, a battle’s a battle and they can’t do anything about it.
Of course, Hanbin’s definitely proud.
Although those days passed and Hanbin’s gone through happy things, there’s still one thing missing. Hayi hasn’t called for weeks now, not even a single message or an email or a note. And he misses her bad because he’s got a lot of things to tell her.
But she’s not there.
And he wonders if she did actually miss him or that was just his wishful thinking.
