Chapter Seventeen
My other HalfHey there~
Yes the chapt is already done! I've received a lot of support with the previous one and I really wanted to make this well.
I'm still not satisfied with the previous chapter, but I'm good with this one. It's slightly longer than the others and everything is fast (Hopefully not too much ><), but it's what I wanted to share, so I hope you'll receive the feeling ^^
Next chapter will probably be the last one, so it's almost the end guys... *sighs*
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this one in the meantime
Thank you! <3

That was official, Junsu had another duet, with some guy who had a problem similar to his. The news did not please him at all. He was even hurt to see the management company did not care at all who he was singing with and that they could switch one person with another without second thoughts, but he resigned.
After Changmin's departure, Junsu almost gave up on his dream. Even after everything, they kept him in the agency and planned to make it come true with his new duet. But he did not want to anymore. What was the point anyway, if his other half was not there to complete him?He did not hold any grudge against this Jaejoong, but Jaejoong was not Changmin and that was almost enough for Junsu to lose all motivation.
But then, he remembered Changmin cheering him, helping him, his promise... he could not give up so easily. Yet, without the man he loved by his sides, he knew nothing would be the same any more.
Resigned, Junsu followed everything the agency ask him to do. He listened to each advice and let them guide his life, never saying a word. In fact, he had been quite pissed about their behaviour, but he could not say anything. Agency's decision gave legal authorisation around there.
One day, expected by everybody, Changmin's recording started and his debut promotion began. He was said to hold a showcase for the occasion. Changmin had asked to be part of each detail, being everywhere at the same time with a dedication junsu never expected from him.
It was taking even more of his time and Junsu did not know how to feel about that. He should be happy to see Changmin became serious about singing. He knew he should, but he could not. He just felt the bitterness of be being left“out and the guilt for all the efforts wasted because of him.
To keep his mind out of this, Junsu was working more and more. If the agency did not throw him away, he was decided to work hard to be worth Changmin at least, if he could not be near him.
Just like that, suddenly, a lot of money and expectation were put on him too. They could see the opportunity and they planned a lot of new classes and therapy to help him. Junsu was not sure it really was for his own sake, but like everything else, he accepted.
Changmin was working hard day and night and he was too, so they almost could not see each other. One barely had time to greet the other when they randomly met at the corner of a corridor, but none seemed to complain.
Instead, they seemed to enjoy those short moments of longing gazes and soft sad smiles. Never talking to each other, they choose the silence and memories to maintain this little something the situation just crashed down.
To keep a bit of him during his work time, Junsu and learnt some of his songs. He was not supposed to know them, but four of the songs for his upcoming album were written and composed by Yoochun. As the kind and compassionate friend he was, Yoochun let him hear the first try of the songs.
Since that day, Junsu had been listening to them on replay mode, getting his head filled by Changmin's voice. This way, he felt closer to him, as if it could artificially keep alive the link they had during their time together.
In the meantime, Junsu had been introduced to Jaejoong.
Jaejoong was not new in the agency and without knowing him, Junsu remembered seeing him once or twice before.
Jaejoong was just another rookie, but unlike the others, he turned to be particularly shy when he had to talk and explain something in public. For an idol, it was a problem, the agency said, but Junsu never really understood why it should matter. Unlike him, Jaejoong had no problem to sing in front of a crowd and wasn't it what a singer was meant for?
Yes, Jaejoong was a singer. A real, good and amazing singer. Contrary to him, he had no real taste for dancing, but he loved to sing just as much as Junsu did. For Jaejoong, singing was a release, an expression of himself. When he was singing, he could let his feeling out freely the way he couldn’t when he had to talk. Lulled by a melody, the words seemed easier for him to leave out. Somehow they were opposite and the heads of the company thought they could maybe do something with those two.
The paradoxical situation was a bit ironic, but Junsu was in no place to judge or laugh. In a way, it might have brought them closer.
The agency seemed to believe working together could help them more than working with Changmin had been. If he was not convinced, Junsu was thankful they met.
Unexpectedly, the agency was right.
Together, they were doing well. and even if it was different, he felt like someone finally understands him, understands his fear. Jaejoong's voice bright and clear and he knew how hard he worked on it.
“I could not sing so well at first, but I wanted to sing so much that I trained like crazy to be able to.” Jaejoong told him with a beautiful smile the first time they met. “Now I just have to do the same to be able to talk without looking completely dumb.”
After his sentence, Jaejoong had chuckled and Junsu looked at him like a complete freak. But after a while, he understood how serious and dedicated Jaejoong was and Junsu decided to do the same, more than ever.
They were working a lot together and even with teachers sometimes. It had been hard to do, but seeing how Jaejoong was pushing himself to improve, Junsu did the same. After a while, he could follow the private classes with the vocal trainer.
He had been very proud of this improvement, but Jaejoong had been praising him more than anybody ever did before. That was Jaejoong's character.
Then, Junsu thanked Jaejoong for the change he made in him.
He was convinced everybody would change by Jaejoong's contact. In a few weeks, Yoochun did, Junho did and eventually, he did too.
When they met Yoochun was mostly writing ballads and melancholic songs, but right after some time with he and Jaejoong, he started to write new songs, more joyful, more lively. For the first time, he even accepted advices and began to write a song for them both. Junsu could not explain how it happened, but it was Jaejoong's miracle.
Just like before, Junho came over too, but like Yoochun, Junho had changed. Since Jaejoong's appearance, the way his brother behaved regarding his fear was less compassionate. He did not spare him any exercise and even bothered him more than ever to force him to work. It was weird at first, even a bit bothering, but Junsu knew he needed it. He needed the support, but also the slight pressure.
Between them all, Junsu was probably the one who started to change the most.
As time went by, they became closer friends and good partners. With Jaejoong, Junsu learnt how to believe in his dream again, how to fight for it like he had never done it before.
Faster than he imagined, he learnt how to sing with Jaejoong, with people... just how to sing the way he could not before. It was not very good yet, at least not as good as he was with his closest friends, but he managed to produce some notes at least and began to interpret bits of the songs they worked on.
He was never so comfortable the way he had been with Changmin, but he learnt to controle the feeling slowly. Yes, his fear changed with a lot of efforts and a bit of his deception. Every time, he had to fight his
