I Am The First Wife II.Christmas Eve.
It is everyone’s favourite night of all nights. Same goes to Paige.
The beautiful, tall lady hugs her body, keeping herself warm in the cold air. She is on her way to her parent’s house when her blue eyes are attracted by the crowds of people at the park. She looks at her watch and smiles.
“Well, I still have time,”
She crosses the road and goes straight towards the park. She loves the atmosphere around her and she can feel the fun of the event. Being a curious lady she is, she tries every games at every stalls and manages to win some of them. Her femme fatale looks attracts other guys around her but she ignored them. Well, she is here to have fun, alone.
After 20 minutes, her stomach grumbles and she heads to a pancake stall to have a bite when suddenly, she sees somwone familiar. Within a few seconds, she approaches the guy slowly, forgetting about her stomach’s demand and can only think of the guy.
Gosh, it’s Kris.
“Hey there,” Kris turns around, greeted by the presence of his ex-wife.
Kris takes another glance at a couple, not far from him and looks at the lady who greets him. Then, he looks back at the familiar couple and looks back at Paige.
Kris, who doesn’t even surprise with her presence, just look at her from the top to the bottom and finally, stop at her dazzling eyes. Her dark brown eyeshadow makes her eyes look fierce and her bright red lips are enough to make any guy melts. However, Kris recognises her pure, innocent eyes despite the thick makeup and her cheeks are pinkish. Kris knows it is not from the makeup effect.
He takes off his black and white checkered scarf and places it around her neck. Paige freezes and mentally let out a squeak when his fingers accidentally brush on her skin.
“There you go,” he takes a look at her and adjusts the scarf again.
“Thanks, Kris,” she mutturs but enough to let Kris hears.
Paige’s lips curve into a smile and she inhales the scent of Kris’s cologne on the scarf. She misses his scent.
She misses him.
Kris notices the expression on Paige’s face and lets out a sigh silently. Paige looks up to Kris’s face and he just gives a sour smile.
“I’m lending you the scarf because it’s how boys do to girls, not because I care,”
Paige swallows a ball of saliva and pushes away a few strands of hair that cover her eyes. , she curses.
