Worlds Collide: The Collision
“Seoyoung-ah.” Lay stood up as she entered the living room.
“Is it true?”
“..What?”
“She’s living with you guys?”
“Yejin? She is.” Lay nodded.
Seoyoung looked away.
“Jungah did tell-”
“I don’t care, Lay. What would people think-”
“We’re not alone here, it’s not just us, mei and Luhan ge-”
“You used to love her!”
Lay shook his head.
“Make her leave, she should stay at a hotel-”
“Why are you doing this? She’s a family friend-”
“Well, it’s your choice, Lay, me or her?”
Lay looked at Seoyoung in shock. It was like he was dealing with another person.
“Seoyoung-”
“Just answer.”
“I can’t. She’s a friend to me.” Lay stated.
“How dare-”
Seoyoung was halted when Jungah tossed the thick envelope on her feet.
“Yeah, how dare you?” Jungah spat.
Lay gaped at his cousin.
“Mei-”
“I’m sorry I have to barge in on you two, but I cant help but overhear this piece of ’s crappy speech.”
Yejin winced.
“Jungah what are you-”
“Don’t you dare call me Jungah.” She snapped. Lay bent down and picked up the envelope.
“Read them.” Jungah said. Seoyoung’s eyes widened as she saw what Lay had got from the envelope.
“You scammed Nichkhun’s father, you married him for money then you used him.” Jungah stated.
“And now what, you want to use my cousin next?” She stepped towards her.
“Lay don’t believe-”
“The hell he will!” Jungah snapped.
“Jungah,” Yejin frowned and stepped towards her.
“I’ve had enough of you, you whine we shouldn’t speak Chinese when you’re around, you want a suite for yourself and now you want Yejin out of the house?”
Seoyoung stepped back.
“You were spying on me, this is invasion of privacy~”
“Shut the hell up and get out of my house, you !”
Seoyoung was about to raise her palms, but Lay stopped her.
“Don’t you dare hurt her.” Lay’s eyes were cold and empty.
Lay placed both of his hands on her shoulders and gently pulled his cousin behind him.
“Leave, Seoyoung. I don’t want to see you again.”
Jungah walked to her cousin as soon as she heard Seoyoung leave.
“I’m..sorry ge.” She stated while looking down. Lay smiled softly and pinched her cheek.
“Don’t be, thanks for always watching out for me.” He said as he kissed her forehead, then Lay walked towards the garden.
Jungah swallowed as her eyes watered.
Finally, her cousin was free now.
But why does she still hurt so much?
Yejin sighed as she watched Lay’s figure from afar. He was sitting on one of the garden chairs, alone.
She shook her head and walked to him.
Lay glanced up as he felt a presence join him.
“Hey.” Yejin offered him a smile.
“Jungah…she…knew a lot.”
“I had a feeling.” Lay nodded.
“I hope you’re not mad at her. She was just worried.”
“I’m not, but I was just….I never saw this coming, Seoyoung marrying someone just to use him and his money…it’s just…”
“Too much.” Yejin finished.
“She made me choose too….I don’t..like that. I mean, of course, you’re Yejin. Why-”
“Stop overthinking, Yixing. It’s over now, just..get well.” Yejin nodded, Lay sighed then he stood up and opened his arms to her.
“Ew, that would be so emo.” Yejin winced.
But she smiled and stood up. Then she let Lay hug her, while she rubbed his back comfortingly.
“It’s going to be okay, Xingnicorn, heartbreak cant kill you.”
Lay just smiled and hugged her back.
