A tall boy was busy preparing his telescope alone in the hillock. That day was one day of summer and he planned to watch the stars as he knew some shooting stars would appear that night. The boy’s name was Lee Sungyeol, he was a high-schooler who loved watching stars with all his heart. He loved stars more than he love anything in his life, from now, since he never been in love with someone or something except the stars.

There’s some reasons why he loved stars so much, besides its beauty, stars had a deep connection with his life and his heart. He used to have someone who always accompany him watching the stars. That someone was the one who showed him the beauty of the stars and was the most precious person for him. Now that the person was already gone, all he could do was watching the stars to erase his longing for that someone.

He was still eight years old when that person left him all alone after made him promise to not cry and always smiling. But, until today, he was unable to keep one of  the promise. Though he could keep another promise to always face his day with a smile and never show his sadness to others, he still couldn’t resist his tears when he was watching the stars. Whenever he saw a thing related to stars, his tears couldn’t help but fall as those stars reminded him of his precious one.

His precious person really loved stars very much and he couldn’t beat the person’s love towards the stars. The person was no other than his mom. She was his one and only family, yet she left him so quickly due to her illness. She was an astronomer who had done so many reasearch about stars. When Sungyeol was four, suddenly his mom’s health dropped and since then, she always stay at home and do her research in their house. Since he was a kid, Sungyeol was a bright boy with a lot of curiosity and he always watch how his mom did the research. As a mother, his mom could only smile at her son cute behaviour, then she showed him the stars she’s been investigating. And since that moment, Sungyeol has fallen in love with the stars..

“ Ahh..” Sungyeol hissed lowly as he moved his foot right away ‘cause accidentally he kicked the tripod of the telescope.

He checked his phone to see what time it was. It was 9.13 PM. He then laying on the grass, looked up at the starry sky..

“ It’s Andromeda..” he uttered slowly as he pointed the stars with his finger. He said all the name of constellations he knew while remembering how his mom’s told him a story about each constellation. He felt his eyes was kinda warm as he knew it was because of his own tears.
