She was a wallflower; someone easily forgotten the moment she disappeared from sight.

But strangely, Taehyung couldn’t forget about her. She was deeply imprinted into his mind though he knew nothing about her except her name. To him, she was like an angel. Everything about the girl was beautiful, from the easy smile she always wore, down to the way she timidly strode across the café to take his order.

She captivated Taehyung and he couldn’t help, but be tongue-tied whenever she went anywhere near him. So when the girl gave him an on-the-house drink with a small magenta-colored umbrella on the side of it, Taehyung treasured it like gold. It became the boy’s pride and joy. A stupid, lopsided grin lit up his face whenever he set eyes on the tiny object. There were even times when he spent hours wasting away, twirling it around with two fingers.

Today, it was safely tucked away in the pocket of his school uniform as he pulled open the door to the café. Taehyung felt the air conditioning lightly kiss his sticky, exposed skin, but it did nothing to soothe his jittery nerves. The weight of what he was about to do was overbearing. Taehyung’s palms were clammy and he wiped them on the front of his pants when he took his usual seat by the window.

The male turned to look at the front counter just in time to see the girl of his dreams slip out from the kitchen. She caught Taehyung’s familiar, warm eyes and a slow smile formed on her pink lips as she advanced towards him. “Are you ordering the usual?” She question, though the answer had never once changed.

“Y-yeah.”

The girl nodded and started to turn back around when Taehyung caught her wrist. He swallowed nervously and slowly reached into his pocket, pulling something out. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes. “I...I have two tickets t-to a musical. Can you... come with me?”

There was an awkward beat of silence, and for a second, the male thought that he had been rejected. He cracked open an eye and saw his angel crouching down on the floor, examining something. Taehyung’s jaw dropped when he saw what it was. Panicked, he reached down and plucked the magenta umbrella from her slender, calloused fingers. He hid it behind his back. Taehyung felt heat creep up his neck and he knew the tips of his ears were scarlet.

The girl laughed at his embarrassed expression, before sliding one of the tickets from his fingers and skimming the contents. She flicked it twice. “I guess I’ll be seeing you tomorrow then...” She leaned in to look at his student name tag. “...Taehyung-sshi?” And then his angel was gone, her melodic laughter echoing in Taehyung’s ears.
