She woke up with a throbbing head. She pinched her nose-bridge, trying to ease the pain. When she opened her eyes, she saw a different surrounding. She looked around and saw him, staring blankly at her.

“Yong” she said breathlessly

“Oppa” she tried to reach for his hand but he didn’t even move a bit.

“Aren’t you gonna welcome me?” she tried to joke but he won’t even move

“Jung Yong Hwa!” that seemed to snap him back to reality

“Joohyun” he whispered shakily and darted towards her, he grabbed her and hugged her tightly “Don’t you ever dare leaving me! Or I swear I’ll raise heaven and hell just to be with you again. No matter what will it costs!”

“Oppa.. b-believe, I’m scared of leaving you too” she was sobbing hard

“Promise Joohyun-ah, promise me”

She nodded and smiled. She cupped his face and wiped the tears that were continuously streaming down his face.

“Don’t cry my baby. Please?” she looked at him with puppy eyes while pouting

He chuckled and grabbed her by the nape, crashing his lips with hers, kissing her deeply as if tomorrow will never come.

“I love you baby” he whispered huskily

“Nado, I love you too”

She woke up in the middle of the night feeling pain right in her stomach, she was clutching the blanket tightly, she looked around but didn’t saw him.

She reached above her and pressed the emergency button. Few seconds and the nurse and her doctor came rushing towards her, the nurse getting her blood pressure and the doctor asking her what is hurting. It happened so fast, her sight became blurry

“I need you to keep your eyes open! Keep talking to me!” she heard the doctor shouting

“Mrs. Jung! Please talk to me. Tell me a story. You need to remain conscious for the sake of your baby!” The doctor was shaking her already

“I want my baby to live. I want to see my baby.” Her tears came cascading down

“Speak more”

“I don’t know what will happen if I lose my baby. Yong’s face, his face keeps on flashing in my mind, his face when he was telling me how he loves to have a baby. The way his eyes sparkle, the way his cheeks burst, the way he AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!” she jolt with another painful blow

“JOO HYUN!!” they heard some things fell on the floor, she saw him running towards her, leaving the things that fell aside.

He pushed the doctor and grabbed her hands

“What happened? What are you feeling? Answer me baby! Answer me please” He was shaking, his chest was tightening, it feels like exploding.

“I’m sorry Mr. Jung as much as I want to let you talk to her to stop her from being unconscious, please step back for a while.” The doctor said, pushing him lightly

“Andwae!” He keeps on shaking his head, his gaze transfixed on her face. He knew she was trying to stay awake

“Joohyun-ah! Please be strong, I’m just here beside you” he was holding her hands, the other one caressing her hair

She smiled softly at him before her eyes gave up, her hands that was clutching his sleeves fell limply

“Joohyun!!!!” His eyes went wide, his mind went blank

“Andwae andwae! ANDWAE!” he was shaking her

“Don’t you ever joke like this Jung Joo Hyun! D-Don’t!” he was crying hard “Baby, baby please don’t make mommy suffer. Daddy loves you, even though you’re still inside her, I already love you, please oh? Please help mommy survive, please baby please. I don’t want to lose you both, please baby.” He was caressing her stomach “Daddy wants to see you” he whispered breathlessly “I want to see you baby, but I want to be with your mommy as well.” He was crying loudly, his whole body was shivering

“Joohyun-ah. Wake up baby. Please”

Few seconds, minutes have passed he felt her stirred

“Doctor!!!” he felt like his heart came back to life, although it was still beating furiously

The doctor came and monitored her

“Please decide as soon as possible. The eight and last month will be the most dangerous month for her and the baby, but as her friend as well, I’m asking you to make a decision as fast as you can, we’re not just risking the baby’s life but also Seohyun’s”

“I-if t-the baby won’t m-ake i-“ he breathed deeply

“You still have the chance to have a baby, don’t worry”

“W-what do you m-mean??” they both looked at Seohyun who was looking at them with disbelief etched in her face

“Hyun, the doctor said it’s still possible to have another baby” Yonghwa said, relief visible in his face

“A-and my baby?”

“H-he decided to-“

“No!” she shouted “How dare you give up on our baby?! OUR BABY YONG! OURS!!” she was crying hysterically

“Hyun, listen to me” he was pleading for her to listen

“NO! YOU GAVE UP!! YOU GAVE UP WITHOUT GIVING A FIGHT!!” She was looking at him angrily

“Sedate her!” the Doctor shouted to one of the nurse

“No. No. I’ll handle this.” Yonghwa said without taking his eyes off her

“B-but she can m-mis-“

“Just go.” He said with finality

They followed him, leaving both of them into a staring competition.

“Hyun, listen”

“I won’t listen to you anymore!! Not until you change your mind!”

“Hyun! Don’t be like this! I’m doing this for you!”

“AND WHAT ABOUT MY BABY?!?!”

“It’s my baby too! And believe me I’m-“

“YOU’RE HURTING?! YOU’RE HURTING?! BUT YOU GAVE UP THAT EASILY! YOU GAVE UP EASILY!! HOW COULD YOU?! GET OUT!!” but he was just crying there, looking at her pleadingly “I SAID GET OUT!! I DON’T WANT TO SEE YOU RIGHT NOW! NOR TOMORROW! NOR THE NEXT DAY! I CAN’T BELIEVE THIS!!” She stood up, pulled the IV and the machine connected to her

“Hyun!! What are you doing?!”

“IF YOU WON’T GET OUT I WILL!”

“STAY!” that did it, he grabbed both her shoulders “I SAID STAY!” he shouted with fury “YOU CAN’T UNDERSTAND ME IF YOU KEEP REACTING THIS WAY!”

“AND WHAT WOULD YOU WANT ME TO SAY?! FINE! KILL OUR BABY! BESIDES, IT’S SO EASY TO REPLACE. THERE! THAT’S WHAT YOU WANT ME TO SAY RIGHT?!”

“JUNG JOO HYUN!”

“BUT NO! NOT A CHANCE! I’LL FIGHT FOR MY BABY! MY BABY!”

“BUT IT’S MY BABY TOO!”

“DON’T COME CLOSE! DON’T TOUCH ME!” she was glaring at him amidst her situation

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!” the ear-piercing scream made the Doctor and the nurse came running to the room “BLOOD!!!!!!! WHAT’S HAPPENING?!” she was panicking

“Joohyun!” he fell weakly in front of her, he badly want to reach out, but it will give pain to her more

“AAAAAAAAAH!” she clutched her stomach “WHY DOES IT HURT SO MUCH?!”

“Sedate her!” the doctor instructed

“NO! MY BABY!!” she wailed “NO! PLEASE DON’T TAKE AWAY MY BABY! PLEASE! NO! no plea-“ he catch her on time she lose consciousness

“I’m sorry” he whispered painfully, he kissed her forehead, as the endless tears came falling down his face again “but I love you more…”
