It was not until towards the end of the year when things began to change. Good and bad things. You got closer to Jungkook, everyday you would learn something new about him. As in everyone else, well the friendship between you and BTS stayed the same, it never increased nor did it decreased but Jimin does make an effort in trying to get to know you better. And for Hoseok, you seemed to have drifted further apart than you already were. The last time you guys carried a conversation was back in Music Night.Things weren’t the same in the month of November, the spots where you see Hoseok everyday have slowly vanished from your interest. His presence seemed to have disappeared from the paths he took to Dancing class. Luckily he was still there while you and Daehyun ate lunch but his passion for dancing seemed to have decreased. He would get scold at by the dance instructor for texting in class and most of the time his attention was on his phone then on his talent or his friends. What could possibly be that important that’s able to make you lose attention to the things you love?

“Jung Hoseok! Don’t you dare touch that phone again!” The instructor warned him loudly making everyone turn their attention to them, including you and Daehyun. Hoseok was practicing a dance with a group when his phone went off, he didn’t even care about the other dancers while he just stopped right in the middle of the number and walked over to his backpack.

“Seonsaeng-nim, just give me 5 seconds.” He begged while holding his phone in between his hands and hopped up and down. You got to admit, he was very full of irresistible aegyo but you hated that he always got in trouble. Everyday since the beginning of the mouth he has gotten in trouble. Why is that? What happened to the lovable Hoseok who always pours his heart out on dancing? Who doesn’t get distracted from anything while doing the thing he loved. It wasn’t only you who missed the old Hoseok, you can see it in his friends that they too are missing their dear friend as well.

“Not until you come back here and finish off the dance number.” The instructor roared while pointing at the spot where Hoseok was dancing seconds ago.

“But Saeng it’s just a quick text.” Hoseok still wasn’t letting it go, who knew he could be this stubborn.The already fired up teacher charged at him but only to be stopped by Jungkook and Jimin.

“Hyung, it’s just a twenty step dance.” Jungkook tried getting Hoseok to listen, although it may seemed  annoyed in his friend’s actions you could tell that his voice was trying to beg his friends from stopping his stubborness. Both of their faces were different from everyone else, while all the students were eager to see what would happen next Jungkook and Jimin’s facial expression was full of worries.Yours were too but you had no right in budding into their conversation.

“Hyung je-bal.” Jimin plead, his voice was shaky and quiet.

It took awhile for Hoseok to give in. He laughed at first, thinking that they were joking but after seeing their serious faces he placed his phone away and dragged his feet back to the center. You kept your attention on Jungkook and Jimin, as they sighed in relief but they knew there was going to be a next time and it might not be as easy. Once they got back to dancing you shifted your eyes to Hoseok’s backpack. Full of curiosity you couldn’t help but to think...it’s was just one text, how could it be powerful enough to take a guy away from his most possesed hobbie?

A day past and you couldn’t help but question about the mysterious text message. Even though it wasn’t your place to worry about his life you were still curious to what was going on with the person you like since the beginning of the school year. It has been three months and not one day did Hoseok walk another way to dance class. He was always there, right in front of you walking the other way just the way it is since the start. But why, why did November have to take that away from you?

Like every other day, it started off with Art. The minute you walked in the room things were different, the atmosphere wasn’t like the past. You looked around wondering where the younger boy was. You were so use to him greeting you the moment you walk in but today, he seemed to be missing. He wasn’t in his seat nor was he standing around the classroom.

You put on a worried expression and made your way to your seat.

A moment later the chair next to you was forcefully sat on.You turned to your side and realized it was Jungkook. His head was placed on the table like he was sleeping and he didn’t even bother to take off his backpack. You didn’t know what to do, were you to comfort him? But what if he doesn’t want it?

“Noonaaa.” He moaned out. You looked at his head and let out a hum in reply. He then tiredly raise up to face you with a pout. “If you texted a guy, would you expect a fast reply?” He openly asked. You narrowed your eyes not implying what the meaning of his question was for but still you decided to give him an answer.

“Mm, it depends on the guy.”

“If you liked that guy then you would, right?” You slowly nodded trying to figure out why he’s asking you these questions. Then right there he snapped his fingers, his cheerful self was back again, well almost. He then turned to you with a smile you longed to see since this morning. “Noona, I think I figured out why Hoseok hyung been acting different lately.”

Your attention suddenly went back to Jungkook once your crushes name came out of his mouth.

“Think about it noona, say that I like you and you liked me back, if you texted me all I want to do is answer right then not caring if I was doing something important right?” He paused for your answer, you quickly gave him a nod after taking in all his words. “Then for you, whenever you text me, you would like to have a fast reply. I’m right, right noona?”

“Mm, it makes sense but what does this have to do with Hoseok?” He gave you a are-you-serious look, after all this time spent to explain you still didn’t understand what he was implying.

“I think hyung has a very special lady friend.” He chirped out.You narrowed your eyes again... this can’t be, he can’t be in a relationship.

“Like a girlfriend?” You asked, praying that your thoughts was false.

“Ani, if he did he would've told us already. I meant a girl who he likes, a lot.” He finished while emphasising on the last word. Once those words came out of his mouth you literally heard your own heart shatter into thousands of pieces. You were staring into thin air, Jungkook’s voice was drowned out while you could only hear each piece of your heart fall to the ground.

“Noona, are you okay?” He asked quietly while waving his hand in front of your face.You snapped back to your own self and gave him a mere smile.

“Yeah, I’m happy for them. He likes her a lot? That’s great.” You faked a smile while closing your sketchbook. “I-I’m sure they have a lot in common, wish them my luck Jungkook.” You stuttered while gripping onto your book and walked out.

“But noona, class isn’t over... yet.” Before he could finish his sentence you were already out of his sight. He turned around with pouty lips and got back to carving out his blockprint.

As for you, you ran into an empty classroom panting and with sore legs. You hid in the corner trying to get your mind off of Hoseok and any of the BTS members cause when you think about them it only brings your thoughts back to him.

How could you have been so blind? With the sudden path change he must have been walking with the girl he likes. Like Jungkook just said, all the text messages must be from her. The way he smiles at his phone has to be a picture of his love. If only you found out in the beginning of the mouth it wouldn’t be so painful right now.You could have gotten over it in the first few days then to have to feel this pain at this very moment.

You hugged your backpack tightly wanting to have the picture of his beautiful eyes out of your memory. You tried to shake off all the time you saw each other, all the time he smiled at you with his charming eye smiles, his soothing voice and the way he did his irresistible aegyos. Forget all that? It’ll leave a humorist blank space in your head and heart. With all that gone, there’ll be nothing here worthy enough to fill it in again.

Just then your phone vibrated in your bag. While stuffing a hand in, you pulled it out and placed it on your ear.

“Juni!” Before you could greet the other person their voice already bursted through the speaker. “Juni, where are you? Are you okay? You’re not hurt are you?” You smiled towards the phone before answering.

“Mmm, I’m fine Daehyun. I’m in classroom C-9.”

“Okay stay there, I’m coming.” He hanged up the line before you could answered. You smiled brightly placing your phone back into your bag but then your sketchbook caught your attention and your smile disappeared.  You stretch your legs out gently placing the book on your thigh, you flipped to the last page used and lightly brushed the drawn picture. Before Daehyun called you asked yourself why Hoseok was so attracting? Why did you like him in the first place, well seeing this picture of him you knew exactly why you fell for him. His almost black eyes that makes you feel so easy whenever you looked into them, how he smiles at your utter embarrassments, the way he act around his friends not caring if he’s in public or not, he still acts weird and cute.

“Juni,” The classroom door opened revealing Daehyun. He smiled at you before giving you a tight hug. “Are you sure you’re okay, cause don’t keep it in if you’re not.”

After he loosened his grip you smiled at his words.

“Did Jungkook tell you everything?”

“Mmm, he gave a straight forward answer when I asked what happened.” You nodded while looking down on the picture. “I’m sorry Juni.” He let out a sad smile while taking your hands into his.

“He said he liked her a lot.” You murmured. “And if you like someone a lot, it turns into a relationship in no time. How could I have not known that he could fall for someone, he is a human being after all.”

Daehyun cupped your face and looked deep into your eyes.

“Juni, Jungkook doesn’t even know if what he was talking about is true. He said it himself, he thinks that’s what’s happening, he’s not truly sure. Don’t let this make you let go of your love for Hoseok.”

You pouted and pulled his hands off of your face. You wrapped your arms around Daehyun and placed your head on his shoulder. You let out a sigh and closed your eyes.

“Why did I have to fall into a unrequited love?”
