Nichkhun was rocking Lauren in his arms, muttering softly, "Lauren... Why won't you say mama? Why must '' be the first word you say?"

But I don't know how to say 'mama', eomma...I'm scared, I don't even know what the word '' means. But why did mummy cry everytime I said that word? I don't know...I'm tired right now, I'll just snuggle close to mummy and go to sleep.

Nichkhun heard a soft snore from Lauren a moment later and automatically put Lauren back into her crib after he pecked a kiss on her cheek. He was also feeling rather tired. When he looked over at the bed, Wooyoung was already snuggled comfortably under the covers, sleeping with only his pants on. The Thai hopped into bed next to his lover and pulled Wooyoung into a hug, hoping the best for tomorrow.

The next day

After everyone woke up, bathed and ate breakfast, they all gathered in the living room. They made a small circle with Lauren in the middle and thought about how the baby should be approached on her vocabulary.

Why are my mummy and daddies making a circle around me? Are we going to play games?! Yay! I love games!

"Okay Lauren, say ma~ma~" Taecyeon started slowly, clasping his hands and praying that Lauren would try to follow.

Eh? Not that word again!! Appa, I can't say it!! I start to cry then because it hurts my head for trying too hard. But my daddies just don't see that. I want my mummy!! Eomma~

"No no no! Lauren, don't cry!!" Junho quickly tried to calm her down, half-panicking. He made funny faces in front of the baby; the same faces Minjun was good at, but Lauren kept on crying.

"Let me hold her." Nichkhun sighed.

A sudden rapping on the front door was heard as he picked her up. Tok tok tok, it went.

Eh? What's that sound? Tok tok tok~ It sounds so funny! I stop crying so that I could hear it better. Tok tok tok, it goes again.

"Tok~" Lauren mouthed cutely. formed a small 'O' shape and it was just so adorable, Wooyoung and Junho couldn't help but pinch her cheeks. The guys paid full attention on the baby now, completely ignoring the constant rappings on the door. "Tok~tok~" Lauren repeated once more, immediately putting a smile on their faces.

"EH?! Yay! You can speak other words too, Lauren!! No more ''."  Chansung exclaimed loudly, only to be smacked on the head by Minjun.

"Yah!! Be quiet, babo! You might remind her again!" Junsu scolded "Aish so stupid..."

"Try to say it again, Lauren!! Eomma wants to hear it!" Nichkhun chirped happily, planting a soft kiss on her forehead as a reward when Lauren went "Tok~" again.

Why is eomma so happy when I said tok tok? Is it a good word? I can finally entertain my mummy and daddies! This is fun.

"Tok~ tok~ tok~" I try again. My daddies become even more excited. They keep praising me, calling me a good girl and patting my head. But where does the sound come from? 

"Awww~ My little baby has learn a cute new word. Well, that's not a word but at least it's way better!" Nichkhun beamed in joy, and the others simply smiled cheerfully at his enthuasiasm.

Tok tok tok, the knocking on the door was getting louder. It was time to greet the guest, whoever it was. Minjun offered to do it, but Wooyoung insisted to check instead. As he got up from the floor, a familiar voice suddenly called out from outside. "Yah! Khun, Taec, whoever's inside, can you stop ignoring us and open up?! I'm not getting any younger."

Wooyoung immediately rushed over and opened the door. Four familiar faces instantly peered in with a smile on their faces.

Who are they? Be careful Appa Woo! They might hurt you!

"Ahh!! It's you guys. You've gotten fat, Seulong hyung. It's been so long since the last time we met!" Taecyeon greeted, getting up from his place. He quickly walked over to Seulong and gave the older guy a hug. And then he proceeded to give the others a warm hug. They playfully punched his shoulders and went in to greet the rest of the guys sitting on the floor. Lauren stared at them with large curious eyes, wondering who they were. When Jokwon saw the baby, he couldn't help but squeal in excitement.

"Oh my gosh, I've been waiting a long time to see my little niece."

"I know right! We're sorry for only dropping in after eight months but we knew about the pregnancy.  There was too much going on in life. Anyway, we finally had time to come see our niece. Lemme at her!" Seulong muttered, dropping down to his knees in front of Nichkhun and leaned in to take a closer look at Lauren. Amazingly, the baby didn't cry. She was too curious to be frightened.

"I didn't know pregnancy in guys was even possible." Changmin said, sitting down on the couch. He sent a Lauren a small smile before turning his eyes to the TV screen.

I'm very curious right now.  Do my daddies and mummy know them? I gently tug on my mummy's clothes to call her. She looks down at me with wide eyes. Who are they, eomma? As if she could understand me, she starts to introduce the strangers to me.

Nichkhun felt someone tugging on his clothes suddenly, and when he looked down, he was surprised to see Lauren looking up at him with a pair of curious eyes.

The Thai smiled then, "Guys...I want you to meet Lauren, my daughter..." He introduced her to them. "I think she's curious about you guys too. She usually cries in front of strangers. I'm surprised she's not crying today."

"That's because we smell good, and you guys usually don't." Seulong received a sneer from Minjun and Junho as he said this, but he ignored it nevertheless. They all knew it was a joke. "Hi Lauren. I'm Uncle Seulong." He greeted back, putting a finger into her hands. She gripped it so tightly that it surprised him. "She's a strong one." He said, managing to pull his finger back eventually.

"And I'm Uncle Jinwoon! Wow...Your daughter is beautiful." Jinwoon said, pinching Lauren's nose slightly. She actually liked it.

Uncle S---s----how to say his name again? Uncle Long! He has a funny face, just like Appa Jun. And Uncle Woon has a cute smile, just like eomma.

"I'm Uncle Changmin! Hello little baby!" When it was Changmin's turn, he stared at her with wide eyes and a weird smile instead, very much like Mr. Bean at the moment. Lauren thought it was a little scary so she started crying. This garnered him a bunch of snickers from the guys.

"Stop with the face! You're scaring her, hyung!" Jinwoon scolded him.

"WHAT?! It's my normal face!" Changmin fought back. It didn't actually hurt. He was never too fond of children. To him, they were an existence that was meant to be and nothing else.

"You were never normal in the first place, hyung." Wooyoung mumbled sarcastically. Lauren cooled down eventually when Wooyoung took her into his arms, rocking her gently. Nichkhun was able to rest his own arms for a while.

"Anyway, cute little baby you've got there. Annyeong, I'm your Uncle Jo Kwon! Call me uncle Kwon." Jo Kwon said in his baby voice. "Ahh...Khun-hyung, you're so lucky to have a baby! I want one too...actually you don't deserve her, I should be her parent instead." He pouted, crossing his arms defiantly. He only received a burst of laughters in return.

"Okay then." Nichkhun started, amused. "Let's ask her. Lauren, do you want me or Uncle Kwon to be your mummy?" He asked his daughter.

Lauren looked over from Nichkhun to Jo Kwon but her eyes finally settled on Nichkhun. "Tok~" She muttered bubbly. Her eyes turned to Jo Kwon and the word '' was mouthed, barely audible, but the boys certainly heard it. They went into a fit of panic after that.

"She said the F word~!!!" Seulong said with a horrified look on his face, pointing an accusing finger at the baby.

"She hates me~! I shouldn't have claimed her as my baby." Jo Kwon remarked shakily. But his moment of grief didn't last long. In a matter of seconds, he was back to his usual self. "Chill. I know she was just kidding. I mean, she's a baby. Later on when she gets to know me, she will definitely want me by her side at all times." Jokwon retorted.

"Yeah. Keep dreaming, hyung." Junho said and made Jokwon roll his eyes. At this time, Chansung, Changmin, Minjun and Jinwoon were already on the couch, eyes plastered on the TV, with no intention whatsoever of entertaining the newly arrived guests. Wooyoung was still holding Lauren in his arms, smiling brightly at the little angel. Junho, Jokwon and Nichkhun started arguing about the possiblities of being a mother and Taecyeon was just loafing around like an idiot. He couldn't join the crowd on the couch because it was full, and being a mother never once crossed his mind. At the end, he dragged Seulong into the kitchen and began gossiping about girls. Wooyoung joined him seconds later, with Lauren still in his arms.

Just as the various discussions inside the house began to heat up, a sudden interruption by Changmin caused the whole room to abruptly fall into an awkward silence. "Khun if you're the eomma...then, who's the appa?" He bluntly asked.

"Uh...well, that's...you see, we don't---" Before Nichkhun could finish up his sentence, someone cut in.

"A family doesn't mean it consists of only a mother, a father, a sister or a brother! Family is the one who still cares for you, loves you, helps you in times of need and asks for nothing back. Don't ask anything stupid again, hyung!" Jinwoon scolded Changmin.

"Psshhhh. Maknaes these days. They're getting braver in speaking out their mind. Someone should tape those mouth." Seulong chuckled, walking over to the couch and tussled Jinwoon's messy hair.

"HEY!!!" Chansung and Jinwoon said in unison, pouting angrily.

Taecyeon decided now was the best time to break the awkwardness in the air. He got up from his seat and announced, "Oh yeah guys! Can you all help us teach Lauren some new words? Like mama. She learned to say---" Here he lowered his voice, hoping that Lauren could not hear him. "--- first. But if we teach her something new, maybe she'll forget the bad word." He muttered softly.

"I wonder who taught her the bad word." Changmin remarked. Nichkhun quickly pointed his finger to the five other housemates he was staying with. They looked away embarrassingly.

"Okay then, let's try to teach her how to say mama." Jokwon said. He turned to the baby and began, "Lauren, say MAMA!"

"Moo moo." Lauren said, drooling slightly.

"Not moo moo! MAMA." Jokwon repeated. They were now sitting back on the floor in a large circle, but Wooyoung was still carrying Lauren. She wouldn't let go of his neck.

"Ta ta?" Lauren tried again, with one finger in .

"MAMA!" Jokwon raised his voice a little this time, getting impatient. He didn't realize teaching a baby was hard. Lauren simply stared at him for a moment before shifting her attention to someone else. Realizing Lauren was ignoring him, Jokwon repeated the word again, this time half-yelling. It almost made Lauren cry. Almost.

"Yah! Don't do it like that! What if she cries again?" Seulong asked. He gave it a try now, demonstrating slowly. "Lauren, say Ma..."

"Ga?" Lauren muttered.

"Ma...Emmmaaaa..." Seulong repeated slowly.

"Emmm?" The close attempt was shocking to everyone. Nichkhun urged Seulong to try again.

"Maaa..." Seulong continued. "Emmmm....maaaa...."

"Maaaa... Emmm...maaaa..." Lauren finally got it. She stared at the growing smiles on her mummy's and daddies' faces. They're smiling! Mummy and daddies are smiling at me. Am I doing it right?

"Now say mama..." Seulong said patiently.

"Ma...ma..." The breakthrough was finally a success. The boys were cheering loudly now, high-fiving each other and giving random back hugs.

Why are they so happy? Is it because I said mama? What does it mean anyway?

"Khun, congrats man! She finally called you mama." Taecyeon said, giving Nichkhun a hug.

The Thai was on the verge of joyful tears. He took his daughter into his arms and exclaimed happily, "Finally! You can call me mama! I'm so proud of you, sweetheart!" He gave her a tight hug.

Ah...so mama means mummy. I get it now. I'm happy too, eomma. I guess I should give Uncle Long a popo for helping me.

"Mama!" Lauren said it quickly this time, releasing an even louder cheer from the boys. They started crowding her to give kisses and hugs. For once, she didn't mind the attention.

After that, the guys played poker for a while, but Nichkhun stayed out of this. He didn't want Lauren to remember any more curses and he knew poker was a hazard for curses. Drinks were passed around, and money was tossed in to double the fun.

By midnight, it was time to leave. "Okay guys. I think we should go home now. I've got a date with y Kwonnie tomorrow." Seulong said, receiving a light punch from Jokwon in return. The older only smiled in response. He waved goodbye to the guys and the four of them left in a line.

"See you guys when you finally grow beards." Changmin added.

"Bye, Channie." Jinwoon waved. Chansung watched him leave with a smile, much to Junho's annoyance.

"Goodbye es." Jokwon said. "You'll miss us, but we won't miss you guys."

"Hope you guys grow pubic hair instead." Taecyeon retorted, and Minjun burst out laughing at this.

"Come over and visit again!" Nichkhun added, waving an arm. Wooyoung simply smiled at the leaving party, because Lauren was now asleep in his arms.

Once they were out of sight, the guys returned back to their bedrooms. It was time to sleep.

Wooyoung carefully placed Lauren into her crib while Nichkhun watched his lover with a soft expression on his face. "Was it fun today, Lauren?" The Thai asked his daughter.

Lauren was too drowsy to hear his question. Chuckling softly, he placed a soft kiss on her forehead before pulling his lover into bed.

"Now, why don't we get busy tonight? It's been a while." Nichkhun muttered, grinning at Wooyoung. The younger guy blushed red beet.

"Khunnie, you'll be too tired if we do that."

"Shh...don't stop me right now."
