Chapter 8

Ding Dong

"I'll get it" Min got up to get the door.

Ding Dong! Ding Dong! Ding Dong!

"I'm coming..I'm coming! Haish..."

When Min opened the door Taecyeon swooped her off her feet and twirled her around in the corridor.

"WELCOME BACK MIN! WE MISSED YOU SO MUCH!"

Basically Min was screaming her head off.
As soon as he put her down, she was dizzy and was about to fall, but fortunately Nichkhun saved her.

"Welcome back" he said and smiled.

"Hi Khun...I think I need to puke" Min quickly ran inside like a drunk person.

When she was out of sight Khun punched Taec hard on the shoulders.

"Ow!What was that for?"

Nickhun ignored him and entered their house.

"What~ What did I do wrong!?"

Khun met Min in the hallway and she asked them to join her.

"What are you two doing?" Taec asked while Khun took a seat at the dining table beside Min.

He saw the table was full of pictures. Pictures of Min at the convention.

"Min, can I take a look at these?"

"Sure"

"Min, where's Ara?" Taecyeon asked.

"Oh, Ara? She's trying on the new dress I bought her. She'll be out in a minute."

"Let me do some math, Ara + dresses = disaster!" Taecyeon said.

"Hey I heard that!"

She finally came out wearing the new dress Min bought for her.

"Min! How is it?" she asked.

Min got up from her seat. She was too suprised to see Ara's new image.

Taecyeon's jaw fell wide open..also not believing his eyes.

"It looks good on you, Ara" Khun complimented.

"Thank you Khun" she smiled proudly and turned to Taecyeon, "So, Taecyeon. What do you think now?"

Taec woke up from his trance and shut his mouth that was wide open.
He turned away and blushed.

"Yah! Taec. Say something."

"uh..Its..so-so" he said, still blushing and not looking straight into her eyes.

It's a good thing he didn't because she was glaring daggers right at him.

"Well, I think you look pretty" Min said.

While Nickhun was browsing through Min's pictures he found one that caught his attention and looked at it carefully.

"Min, who is this?"

Everyone took a look at the picture that Khun was holding.
It was a picture of Min and another man together at the convention.

"Hey isn't that..."

Min quickly took that picture from Khun's hand and at the same time covered Ara's mouth so she wouldn't talk anymore.

"It's..just someone I met at the convention" she quickly explained.

"But.." Ara butted in.

Min quickly elbowed Ara in the stomach.

"OW!"

Taec laughed at Ara.

"What are you laughing at? Do you wanna die?" she threatened him.

Taecyeon immediately shut up and then continued being shy, by the sight of the 'different' Ara.

"well..okay. If you say so."

Then, things became awkward. Everyone was silent..
and finally taec spoke up.

"well, since..*clears throat* Ara's all dressed up, maybe we could all go out for dinner"

"oh yeah, that was the reason we came here for, wasn't it" Khun said.

"Well, then. Let's get going" Min said.

"But I'm not going out like this..it's embarassing!" Ara panicked.

"It's fine. You look pretty!" Min assured her.

"but..but.."

"YOU LOOK BEAUTIFUL, ARA!" Taecyeon suddenly said out loud.

Everyone looked at him. Then he finally realised what he just said.
Taecyeon right now is mentally suffocating himself.
Nickhun and Min could only smile at Ara's reaction who's face by now was all red with embarassment.

"Yah! You didn't have to say it out so loud!" She hit him on the arm and walked out.

So, they all got in Taec's car and went out for dinner.

"You guys like Italian?" Nickhun asked.

"Yup!" Min and Ara answered in unison.

"Good, coz' Taec is paying" Khun cheekily said.

"Yah! you..! Don't make me strangle you while I'm driving."

A few minutes of driving and they finally arrived at the Italian restaurant.
The waitress took them to a table and took their order.
While waiting for their food, Min noticed this girl at a table across them and she kept looking at them.
Ara, noticed too.

"What, what are you two looking at. Is there something on my face?" Taec said while wiping the invisible thing off his face.

"Not you! It's that girl. She keeps on looking at us" Ara said.

Nickhun and Taecyeon looked back to see a girl and she was really looking at them.
But as soon as she saw Taeyeon looking at her, she quickly looked down at the table.
Taecyeon turned back around and said nothing.

"maybe she just spaced out and unintentionally stared at us" Khun suggested.

"Maybe" Min agreed.

But something was fishy. Ara could feel it.

The food arrived, and they enjoyed their meal.
When they were done, they got up and left.

~Hee Young's POV~

"He's getting up. Quickly, say something!" Hee Young's friend whispered.

"I..I can't..." she said nervously.

Taecyeon and his group of friends just passed by, and left the restaurant.

"Yah! Why did't you say something! You shouldn't lose your chance" she kept bugging her.

"But it looked as if he didn't even remember me" she said a little upset.

"Then make him remember you. GO! Now! Before he leaves" her friend insisted.

Hee Young didn't want to at first, but her friend was right. There might not be another chance.
So she quickly gained all her courage and quickly ran out of the restaraunt to catch him.

He was right in front of the restaurant with his group of friends.

"OK TAEC YEON! CHAMKAMANYEON!"

he looked up at her and his friends did the same.

"OK TAEC YEON! CHAMKAMANYEON!"

Taecyeon looked up, and so did the others. It was the girl from before.

"Hey, wasn't that girl from before who was staring at us?" Min said.

"Taec. She know's you?" Khun asked.

Taecyeon knew, this wasn't going to look good.

The girl, quickly walked down the stairs an walked up in front of him.

"Hi..Oppa.." she said.

"uuh..Hi..." he scratched the back of his neck, feeling nervous.

"Khun, who is she?" Min asked.

"I'm not sure. I guess it's someone he knew before we even met in the states" he answered.

"uh..Hee Young. Are you going to say something, coz' I really need to get going" Taec said to her.

"oh..uh...is it ok if we meet again..?" she boldly asked.

Taecyeon hesitated a little to answering that.

"It's just for old times sake." she laughed nervously.

"well..I guess" he answered.

"ok then..I'll see you then" she smiled at him.

Taecyeon gave her a sort of uncertain-happy smile and she went back into the restaurant.

"Taec, who was that" Khun asked.

"Just..someone I know.." he said and got into the drivers seat, "Come on. Let's go home"
