It had been a month that Siwon got his job. His old vigor was back, our hopes coming into

light one by one. He was always happy, dreaming stuff which he wanted in future. I felt

good that at last he was smiling and was happy. Soon he told me that my mother was

coming here on a visit. I could not be even more happier. He had told me that my mom had

come to visit me when I was in coma and it would be her second visit after our accident.

The day she arrived I hugged her tight. When she saw me on the wheel chair, she was

surprised and immediately started crying. Siwon handled her well. But soon my mother too

was astonished o see my abilities. The rehab had made me a lot more stronger than I

seemed to be, but still there was a lot in my heart. And I could not hide it from my

mother..not anymore...

 

 

Flashback

Shreya POV

My mom came inside and sat down beside me. I was resting on the bed, working on my photos.

A bowl of kimchi was lying beside me.

 

"Shreya...."

 

"What happened maa...?"

 

"What's wrong with you?"

 

"Wrong...?? Nothing...I am totally fine."

 

"Stop lying to me Shreya...I know something is going inside you. I am your mother."

 

"Really...not..nothing...is..is wrong...I a..." I could not complete the sentence. Tears started

falling down my eyes. My mom held my head and placed it on her shoulder.

 

"Now tell me....what happened?"

 

"Mom...I feel so helpless and worthless. Siwon is struggling and working so hard to run our

family, so that we live happily. And..and I am being a burden over him."

 

"No..it is not like that. He genuinly loves you."

 

"But...I am feeling guilty. He deserves a much better life...a much better wife. I was even ready

to let him go."

 

"You actually told him that?"

 

"Yes..."

 

"But why...?? Don't you think he was hurt? How bad he must have felt? You just told him that

you don't trust him, you don't like him. Whereas, he is trying his best to help you."

 

"But I won't even be able to bear a child."

 

"So...that's the root problem. That you can't give him a child."

 

I sank further inside, simpering even more.

 

"Look at me." I looked up. I looked up to my mom.

 

"Is it that he wants...?? Don't you see what he wants....?? He wants you to be for him, for you

to stand beside him. That's what is most important in a married life. That both of you should

always stand there for each other, not fulfill each other's needs."

 

"Are you sure mom...??"

 

"Why do you think your father and I are still together? Because we trust each other and we

share everything with each other. Be more open to him....laugh with him when he is happy, be

there to support him when he is sad."

 

"Hmmm...." Well I had nothing to say.

 

 

Next day was the best day in my life....our first anniversary. And what did Siwon do for me? He

decorated the house once again with roses and gave me a ring, proposing to me once again. And

I felt like the happiest wife in the world with Siwon being the best husband.

 

 

I was crying....she never ever said that she was suffering so much. She always stood for me without a word. I was lucky that we were still strong, even after 5 years.
