It was thirty minutes before midnight when Jung Shin came. They were all looking at him but were surprised when they noticed there are four people standing behind him except for Shin Hye who is now walking back to the garden with So Won.

Shin Hye saw Jung Shin and cry when she saw the people behind him.

So Won: Eonni, why are you crying?

Shin Hye: Umma… Appa… (She unconsciously let go of So Won’s hand and run to her parents)

Mr. Park (Shin Yang): Shin Hye… (He hugged her) Don’t cry my baby.

When she let go of their hug, she went to hug her mother.

Mrs. Park (Jung Eun): I missed you Shin Hye.

Shin Hye: Me too Umma.

Grand Pa Park: How about your handsome Grand Pa? Don’t you miss him?

Shin Hye: (She hug Grand Pa Park) Of course I miss you Grand Pa. (Then to her Grand Ma Park) And my beautiful Grand Ma, I miss you too.

Grand Ma Park: My beautiful grand daughter. Grand Ma misses you so much. We were so sad when we found out that you went there with Jung Shin last time. We weren’t able to see you.

Grand Pa Park: We were hoping that you will return the following week but you didn’t. Why are you not visiting us during weekends anymore?

Shin Hye doesn’t know how to tell them about her current situation. She looked at Jung Shin to help her. She noticed him smiling.

Jung Shin: Grand Pa …

Just then So Won is already standing beside Shin Hye.

Grand Ma Park: Is she the reason?

Shin Hye looked at her grand mother and smile.

So Won: Eonni… What’s wrong? Why are you crying? Are you sad?

Shin Hye: (Bent down) Princess, Eonni is crying not because I’m sad. I am actually happy.

So Won: Happy? Is it because of them?

Shin Hye: Deh! (Stand up) Princess, I want you to meet my family.

Their parents and grand parents smile when they heard what So Won said.

Jung Shin: (Bent down) Princess, they are my family because Eonni is my twin sister.

So Won: Twin sister? (To Shin Hye) Eonni?

Shin Hye: (She nods) Princess, I’ll tell you everything later. Is that ok?

So Won: Deh Eonni. (She looked at them again) I’m sorry I forgot to introduce myself. Annyeonghaseyo Jung So Won-imnida.

Grand Pa Park: Hello So Won. Finally, I meet the little princess that Jung Shin is talking about. You can call me Grand Pa.

So Won: Jung Shin Oppa talked about me Grand Pa?

Grand Pa Park: Deh! He said you are a very sweet and pretty princess.

Mr. Park who is just listening to them finally joined their conversation.

Mr. Park (Shin Yang): So Won, why do you want to be like your Shin Hye Eonni? You should say you want to be like your mother.

So Won: (She pouts) You don’t want me to be like Eonni? (Then looked at Shin Hye)

Mr. Park (Shin Yang): It’s not what I mean…

Shin Hye: Appa, her mother died while giving birth to her.

Mr. Park (Shin Yang): (He felt sorry for what he said) I’m sorry little Princess. (He carries her) You will definitely be like your Shin Hye Eonni.

Mr. Park (Shin Yang): Because you are the only one girl aside from her that I have seen who can pout as cute as that. (He smile)

So Won: Deh! Can I call you Grand Pa?

Mr. Park (Shin Yang): Of course Princess.

They were interrupted by someone.

Yong Hwa: Princess what are you doing?

So Won: Appa!

Mr. Park brings her down and she runs towards his dad.

So Won: Appa… they are Shin Hye Eonni and Jung Shin Oppa’s family.

Yong Hwa: (Bow and greet them) Annyeonghaseyo Jung Yong Hwa-imnida.

Mrs. Park (Jung Eun): Jung Yong Hwa? (Look at her husband)

The other people at the party also came to welcome them.

Mrs. Jung (Ye Jin): Yong Hwa… (She saw Shin Hye’s parents) Jung Eun?

Yong Hwa and Shin Hye were both confused with what’s happening.

Shin Hye: Appa, you know Mr. & Mrs. Jung?

Her father just nods.

Mr. Jung (Woo Sung): I think you need to know the truth already. But before doing that, I think we should all first celebrate New Year. Its almost twelve midnight already.

Mr. Lee (Byung Hun): I think that’s a good idea.

They all walk back to the garden area where the foods are served.

Yunho’s POV: So they are the Park Family? Omo! It means Shin Hye is the young girl that I saw with Umma at the amusement park. No wonder I felt something different when I first saw her. But what is the real relationship of our family and their family? Aissh! Suzy this is really getting complicated.

They celebrate the New Year dinner without talking about the incident. They were already having coffee and tea when they decided to talk about it.

Mr. Jung (Woo Sung): I hope we all have a great year ahead. May we all start the year right.

Mr. Lee (Byung Hun): And I think the best way to do that is by telling them the truth.

Mr. Park (Shin Yang): You are right.

So Won: (To Mr. Jung) Grand Pa, who is not telling the truth?

They don’t know what to answer So Won. Being the eldest, Park’s grandparents decided to do something to change the topic of conversation.

Grand Ma Park: So Won-ah, your house is very beautiful and looks so big. Is there something special for this house to be this big?

So Won: Deh Grand Ma! You should see the third floor where I, Appa and Eonni stay.

Grand Ma Park: Really? Is it possible for me and Grand Pa to see it?

So Won: Of course Grand Ma! (To Yong Hwa) Appa is it ok if I’ll show Grand Pa and Grand Ma our place upstairs?

Yong Hwa instructed Cha Bo Woon to watch over So Won while she tour Shin Hye’s grand parents.

The atmosphere became quiet after So Won and Park’s Grand Parents left. Their sitting position adds to that. The parents were all sitting in a long sofa together. Their children are in front. Their chairs arranged like a half moon shape.

Their sitting position from left: Yunho, Jong Hyun, Jung Shin, Min Hyuk, Krystal, Shin Hye and Yong Hwa. After So Won left, Shin Hye and Yong Hwa ended up sitting beside each other.

Yunho: Now that So Won is no longer here, can we now hear the “truth” that you said we should know.

Mr. Park and Mr. Jung looked at each other as if asking who should start first.

Mr. Lee (Byung Hun): Since, both of you don’t know how to start it. Let me do it with the part that I know. As you are all aware now, Jung Shin is our adoptive son. He is the biological son of Shin Yang and Jung Eun.

They were not all surprised to here that as Jung Shin already mentioned about it.

Mrs. Lee (Ji Woo): At first we don’t actually wanted to do that. (She looked at Jung Shin) Jung Shin-ah, its not that we are forced to adopt you. You know how much we love you.

Jung Shin: You never failed to show that to me Umma.

Mrs. Lee (Ji Woo): We really loved to have another child but having Jung Shin that way, we felt bad for our friends. But they insist that we should adopt him.

Mr. Park (Shin Yang): (To Jung Shin) Mianhe Jung Shin-ah… this may sound not good but we gave you to them as payment for all the expenses they help us during and after Shin Hye’s operation.

Jung Shin: Payment? (He was surprised to hear that)

Mrs. Park (Jung Eun): It was the second time that Byung Hun and Ji Woo helped us. We felt that it’s too much if we still let them pay for everything. Also, we know that they can give you a better future. We are really sorry. (Tears start to fall from her eyes) If we have a choice we won’t do that.

Mr. Park pats his wife’s back and Jung Shin went to his mother to hug her.

Jung Shin: Umma… there’s nothing to say sorry. I was just surprised to hear that I was given as payment but I’m not mad. You just did that for me and Shin Hye’s future. (He is also crying)

Shin Hye who is sitting beside Yong Hwa look calm. She just looked at them and listens.
