Tangled Manners
She Was Mine?Junhyung's POV:
"Well we all have to face our fears," she said wittingly.
I stared at Yuri peek glances at Lee Joon. I got up from my seat and followed Jiyeon out the door. I wanted to give Yuri some time with Lee Joon.
"Hey Stupid!" I yelled.
She turned around and smiled. Then, for some strange reason, she fell backwards. Gravity seemed out to get her. I slowly walked towards her and reached out my hand. She stared at my hand and got up by herself. I awkwardly put my hand into my pocket.
"Why are you here?" Jiyeon asked.
"I"m walking back to my cabin. Don't get your hopes up. I'm not trying to walk you."
"Why would I get my hopes up?" She glared at me. Her cheeks turned red. She was flustered.
I smiled. We continued walking.
She sighed.
"Why are you sighing? So unlike you."
"For reasons you'll never understand."
"How do you know that I won't understand? You barely know me."
" You're right. I don't know you, but you don't know me either. That's why you won't understand."
"Look. Let's face it. If you don't tell me, there's going to be no one that will listen to you."
"I'm worried about my dad."
"That's it? Wow. Why worry about him? He's an adult. He should be worried about you."
"I'm just worried that he might be worried about me."
"Believe me. He's not."
"How do you know?"
"Because if I was your dad, I wouldn't worry. You're too? What's the word? Strong."
She smiled. Yet, something about her smile made it seem sarcastic. A sarcastic smile.
"I wonder if he ate dinner yet. I hope he doesn't skip meals."
"I'm sure your mom isn't going to starve your dad."
She stopped walking and looked down to the ground.
