Chapter 10.

[Seyoung's POV]

I was lying on my bed, reading my favorite book Lifted Up By Angels by Lurlene McDaniel when my brother suddenly invited himself inside my room.

"What's up?" I put down my book so I can look at him.
"Hoya's looking for you" he informed me.
I suddenly sat up, not really expecting him. Sure he told me something about picking me up at 4:30PM today but wasn't that just something to annoy me? Or is this just the start of another prank? I messed up my hair, a bit annoyed at him. I'm not really in the mood for pranks right now. I stood up reluctantly, closing the door of my room as I walked out with my brother behind me. I saw Hoya, his back facing us, sitting at the couch as he watched soccer. Sunggyu hyung then sat next to him and that's when he noticed my presence. I took a deep breath ready for my outburst when a yellow rose filled my view
"Hope you like this!" he said, handing me the flower.
"Ohhh..thanks" I was surprised that I was kind of speechless.
"You're welcome" he smiled at me. Oh crap! He smiled at me! The Hoya I know SMIRKS at me, not SMILES at me.
"Uh-huh...yeah...so what are you doing here?" I asked him suspiciously
"I told you I will pick you up today at 4:30PM, didn't I?" he said as he walked towards me.
"You were serious?!" I asked, freaking out. And he nodded in response.
"OPPA! Aren't you suppose to say 'Who said you can take my sister out?' at times like this?" I told my brother who was still watching soccer.
"AH, I already told him he can so it's fine" he answered not even taking his eyes off the TV
"What kind of a brother are you?" I said. This is unbelievable. When L.Joe asked me out, he interrogated him nonstop and now he's acting like it's just a normal day?
"You agreed to him in the first place didn't you?" he said, now looking at me "Besides, it's Hoya. We've been friends for so long so I know him"
"Yeah but I also agreed to L.Joe but yo-"
"Oh fine" he said through gritted teeth as he cut me off. He then looked at Hoya and said "No funny business alright?"
"Of course" he replied

I sighed, knowing I really have to go. "I'll just go change"
"Just put on your rubber shoes and you'll be fine" Hoya protested.
I looked at him weirdly but said 'Okay' in the end.

I'm wearing a plain shirt and shorts plus my rubber shoes. Now I wonder, where is he taking me?

"Care to tell me what exactly are we doing here? At the basketball court?" I demanded
"To play basketball, pabo" he replied from behind me. With the word pabo, I turned to look at him but before I could even say something, he threw the basketball at me, which of course I caught, and ran off.
"Come on! The loser has to buy ice cream!" he yelled as he positioned himself on defense
"Oh it's on!" I yelled back dribbling the ball.

It's been so long since I last played basketball. I'm not a good player, just fine. Sunggyu oppa taught me how to play when I was younger, just so he could play with someone when the boys are not around and I enjoyed it so I join them whenever I can, so yeah, not really much.

"First to have 10 points wins" Hoya smirked as he stole the ball from me and did a quick lay up. "That's two points for me"
I took the ball from him and started dribbling it as I tried to get closer to the basket. I positioned myself to shoot and he jumped to block me but then I took this as a chance to inch myself closer to the basket and then I took a jumpshot. "Two points, eight more to go"
"Didn't know you could do that" he asked me as I readied myself for defense.
"I learned from the best, I guess" I shrugged.

We continued to play until one of us finally has 10 points. We moved towards the bench and sat there, trying to catch out breath.
"So, I'll have a free ice cream then?" he said, still panting.
"Only because you won" I replied. Of course he won. Do you expect me to win? Nah, even I didn't expect myself to win, I just hate turning down a challenge. I think losing is better than winning just because he went easy on me.
"Come on!" he grabbed my wrist and started running, dragging me along.
"Hey! Hey! Where are we going?" I asked, trying to stop him. I was still breathing heavily when he decided to run, oh come on! Isn't he tired yet? Since he didn't answer me, I repeated my question once more "Where are we going?"
"We're going to get ice cream, silly" he replied, still not stopping.
"I'm not silly, stupid!" I retorted. "Can't we just slow down?" I requested but he just ignored it.

We finally stopped as we're already inside the ice cream shop. I took a seat and made myself comfortable as I worked on my breathing.
"Wait here, I'll just go order" he didn't even wait for me to reply as he stood up but I grabbed his wrist, stopping him.
"You won, so I'll buy" I said but he just winked at me and said "Nah, just stay here"
I just stared at him while he went to the counter to order.

"Cookies & Cream for you and a Rocky Road for me" he said as soon as he came back, placing the cookies & cream flavored ice cream in front of me. He took his seat in front of me and handed me the spoon. He started eating his ice cream and I just stared at him, completely ignoring my cookies & cream.

"What?" he questionned, realizing that I am staring at him for quite a long time now.
"Are you really Hoya?" I asked him and he looked at me weirdly "Are you Hoya's twin?"
He chuckled. "What? No. I mean, yes I am Hoya and I am certain that I don't have a twin" I didn't say anything but continued to look at him "I didn't put anything on that ice cream okay? So eat" he commanded but I still didn't eat it. He sighed and then ate a scoop of my own ice cream, proving to me that he really did put nothing on it. And that's when I started eating mine. I'm still in awe at how Hoya is acting right now but I have no idea whether I should be glad or nervous about it.

Once we were done, he decided to walk me home, I refused the offer but he said something like Sunggyu oppa killing him plus he was so persistent to I dropped it off and agreed. I'm glad that he chose to walk this time, and not run, because I'm enjoying the night breeze and I'm loving the nightsky.
"Hey" I decided to break the silence "Ummm..I...umm..well.." Dang it! How should I say this?
"Yeah?" I heard him say a bit curiously
"Well..I..Isn't it good to walk?" I heard myself say. "I mean look at the stars, aren't they beautiful?"
"Yeah. Yeah. Totally" He agreed. And the conversation just ended there. Why can't I say it?! Is it really that hard?

It didn't take long until I found myself standing in my doorstep with him.
"Goodnight" he said and I just nodded in reply turning my back on him, opening the door.
I sighed. "Wait!" I turned around once again and found him walking away. He stopped and looked at me "Yeah?"
"I can't believe I'm saying this but..." I paused, thinking if this is a really good idea. "well... I had fun, thanks!" There I said it! I then hurriedly went inside and closed the door, not even waiting for him to say anything. I then heard my phone ring and I saw a message from him.

You're welcome. Friends? -Hoya

I typed my reply and went to my bathroom to take a shower and change to my night clothes. Once I was done, I checked my phone for messages and I found one coming from Hoya.

Author's Note: I apologize for not updating real soon. I've been really busy with school. The past months had been really crazy for me. I am actually trying hard to update but I just can't, I'm really sorry. Anyway, I really wish I still have my lovely readers out there. Forgive me please? I really hope you would love this new chapter. I had tried my best on this. I actually liked writing this chapter that I have to stop myself from making this chapter really really really long. :) And oh, please ignore the errors.
