Lord Kangta found an abandoned child in a house with a letter from the parents. A boy was just 10 years old with a beautiful face and was left alone. In the letter was written that parents chose their daughter over their son. They didn’t want the girl to be a KUNG-NYO, but they can have the son.

Lord Kangta took the boy and went to his friend and the supervisor of all the servants in the King’s castle Tae-Hee, they disguised the child to a girl and made him roommate with two other girls named, CL and Yoona and made them promise to never reveal Heechul’s real gender.

Our story begins 7 years later in the palace of the great King Jun-Jin

Kim Heechul: a beautiful boy, who enters the palace in a place of his sister as a KUNG-NYO*.  His parents left him at their home and ran from the city with his sister; they ran to avoid their daughter to be a KUNG-NYO.

Siwon: WANG-SE-JA*, king’s oldest son. Muscular and handsome man, but with a harsh attitude. He is from King’s first wife who died when gave birth to his son.

Choong-jae aka Jun-Jin: HWANG-JE, the great Emperor. The ruler of the reign and father to Siwon, Seung-hyun, Minho and Sulli.

Kim Tae-Hee: SANGGUNG*, kind woman. She is the one of the two people who knows about Heechul’s real gender.

Chil-hyun aka Kangta: YONG-SA* , Brave and royal to king and the crown prince. He is the other person besides Tae-Hee who knows about Heechul’s real gender. He brought Heechul to the castle insteed of his sister.

Mi-young aka Tiffany: WANG-BI*, the second wife of the king. King Jun-Jin married her after his first wife died.

Im Yoona: Calm and kind KUNG-NYO, Heechul and CL’s best-friend and roommate.

Lee Chaerin aka CL: Energetic and funny KUNG-NYO. Heechul and Yoona’s best-friend and roommate

Seung-hyun: a GUN*, oldest son of King from his second wife.

Minho: a GUN, youngest son of King from his second wife.

Jin-ri aka Sulli: KAM-GUN*, the only daughter of the king and his second wife.

Taeyeon : Tiffany’s orphaned  niece who is under responsibility of Queen. Tiffany wants her to marry Siwon.

Dong-Wook: CHANGNIWON-GYONG*, also known as Seven because he can play seven different musical instruments. Seung-hyun’s secret lover.

• Kung-Nyo: 'Palace girl', i.e. a maidservant at the palace.
• Wang-Se-Ja:  Crown Prince.
• Hwang-Je: Emperor.
• Sanggung: 'Court lady', a supervisor amongst the female palace servants.
• Yong-Sa: Lord President of the Supreme Council.
• Wang-Bi: Queen, the usual title used by the principal wife of the sovereign during his reign.
• Gun: Sons of the King's secondary wives; eldest sons and eldest grandsons of taegun, borne by principal wives; all sons of a Crown Prince; and meritorious subjects of the first and second class.
• Kam-Gun: Princess.
• Changniwon-Gyong: Master of Ceremonies
