Someone entered my office

I think it’s sooyoung again, so I quickly pick up the documents that I’m actually done reading and cover my face with it

Maybe I should also pretend that I’m sleeping, I also immediately close my eyes

I don’t want that giant to annoy me again, and this is the only way I can make her go away.

“uhm, miss Jung” the person who entered my office said

From the sound of her voice, definitely it's not sooyoung.

Her voice is a little husky but soft

I guess she’s the new employee

*flashback

After sooyoung went out of my office



Ms. Lee came in next



“Jessica” I can hear her aegyo filled voice and it still never fails to make me cringe



Great, someone will annoy me again



“what?” I irritatingly said covering my face with the documents I’m reading



“why so grumpy today, sica?”



I put the documents I’m reading and face her



Why can’t this guys leave and just give me some peace and quite, I’m not really in the mood to talk today.



I also have a lot of work to do



“say what you want to say sunny” I said as I look at her with a bored uninterested expression



“sooyoungs right” she mumbles



“huh?, just say what you want to say sunny, your starting to annoy me…I got lots of work to do”



“keep calm sica, your too hot” she said them propping herself to the chair in front of my desk

“yes, I know I’m too hot” I said with a smirk



“yeah, yeah” she said and looks at me with her sparkling eyes



I can tell that there is something under her insoles that I didn’t know



And I can feel that her and sooyoung had also talked behind my back



Why do they like annoying me?



I keep my stance and look at sunny, with the same expression on my face



“we have a new employee today” she happily announced



I rolled my eyes and slump my back at my chair



What’s with the new employee?



Same as sooyoung the tone of her voice is trying to imply something



I pick up again the documents and arrange them beside my desk



I’m getting tired of them telling me about the new employee.



It’s not like I’m not going to meet him or her, the heck were working at the same company and I know everyone around here, if I saw someone not familiar to me I’ll easily know that he or she is the new employee



I sat up straight and rest both of my arms at my desk while I lean a little closer to sunny



“okay”



I was about to say something when she place a brown envelope on my desk



“open it” she said



I pushed the envelope away, back to her.



“why would I? is this related to work? How can I be so sure that it doesn’t have any cucumbers inside that brown envelope?”



“just open it sica”



I cross my arms and slump my back at my chair



“…”



“there’s no cucumber inside, open it sica” she said pushing the brown envelope back at me again



I uncrossed my arms and get the brown envelope



“I’ll fire you immediately if there is a cucumber inside this envelope” I said as I open the envelope and look inside



I can tell that sunny tensed up a bit when I said that I will fire her



She’s just making it so obvious that they are up to something



Should I just play along?



Or stop this nonsense and continue doing my work?



“see there’s no cucumber inside” there’s a little nervousness in her voice



“now read it” she ordered after clearing



I sighed, but not showing I’m giving up



Fine I’ll play along



I pulled the paper out the envelope and look at it



it’s the application form of the new employee they are talking about



“that’s the application form of the new employee”



“obviously…” I said while flipping the papers



Hwang miyoung



Born: august 1, 1989



Were born the same year

She’s from America then transferred here at Korea for high school and college



Her father is the chief of police



Newly graduate of business management



Then blah blah blah..

I notice that there’s no photo attached at her application form, but whatever I still don’t get what sunny and sooyoung are planning



“okay, I’m done reading” I put back the papers inside the envelope and give it back to sunny



“good, I hope you remember he rname” sunny said with a big grin then she stood up and quickly left my office



What the?



What’s her problem?



What’s their problem?



Sunny and sooyoung really is weird today



I shook my head and calm myself down



“time to continue my work” I grabbed the papers and continue reading it



I hope no one will come inside my office and annoy me again *end of flashback



I can hear she’s coming a little closer my desk

What’s her name again?

Hwang?

Ah, yeah, hwang miyoung

I didn’t move and continue pretending that I’m sleeping

“ms. Jung?”she said again and I think she’s standing in front of my desk now

“sooyoung wants me to give you this sandwiches, where should I put them?”

I didn’t answer and silently hopes that she’ll leave now

Okay there’s a little silence, I’m guessing that she already leave

But before I put the documents down

She got one of the papers that I’m holding then after that she took all the papers I’m holding exposing my face

“blonde?” I heard her whisper

Does she know me?

I want to open my eyes, but I suddenly felt that I have to continue pretending that I’m sleeping

But I don’t think pretending is not the proper word anymore, as I’m really falling to sleep

I can hear her foot steps, I guess she’s starting to walk to the door and get out of my office

I want to peek on who she is and what she looks like.

But I didn’t want to get caught

She finally got out of my office when I heard the door open then closed

Okay finally now she’s out I guess I can continue sleeping now

TIFFANY POV

“looks like someone is daydreaming” sooyoung said then she showed me a Polaroid she had taken

Well yes, I’m really daydreaming

I took the photo from her hand and look at it

I’m just staring blankly with a smile on my face, I look weird in this photo

“how long have you been watching me?”

“since you came out of miss jung’s office” she answered with a big grin on her face

“can you stop smiling like that sooyoung, your starting to creep me out”

“haha! Well I think I’m doing a great job” she confidently said

Seriously, what’s up with her?

“huh?”

“never mind” she said and tries to snatch the photo she had taken out of my hands

I stuck my tongue out and successfully put the photo inside my drawer

“I’m going to keep that photo” I said triumphantly

Sooyoung fixed her fringe and crossed her arms

“fine” ans she’s grinning at me again

“seriously, stop doing that” I protested

She pulls a chair and places it beside me, then sat beside me

“so tell me, what did miss jung said when you gave her the sandwich?”

“nothing” I answered bluntly

“nothing?”

“yeah, she’s sleeping when I came inside her office”

Then she lazily slumps her back on the chair and I think she whispered something but I didn’t get the chance to hear it.

“sooyoung?”

“yes?”

“why do you said that miss jung is an ice princess?” I curiously asked her

Her eyes look like it widen in surprise because of my sudden question

She cleared and looked at me

“well…that”

JESSICA POV

I heard a light sound coming from somewhere

Am I still in dream land?

I doubt not

My stomach feels burning inside and it’s making weird noises

Giving me a sign that I should eat

But I’m still too sleepy to eat

I want to sleep more

My plan of pretending to be sleeping really made me fall to sleep

But because of my stomach making weird noises, it woke me up

“aish!” I frustratingly said then hold my stomach hoping to make it stop making those sounds

“I stil want to sleep, and I’m too lazy to go out and grab some food to eat”

I look at the things placed on my desk and all I can see are stacks of papers to the left and stacks of papers to the right

Not until I saw a paper bag resting in the middle of my desk

I remember the new employee entered my office earlier and leave me with sandwiches.

I think those sandwiches are placed inside the paper bag

I straighten up on my sit and grab the paper bag

I look inside and saw a sandwich cut into triangle and is placed inside a plastic container

Without having any second thoughts as I’m already taken off the right of having one since I’m really hungry

I quickly pulled out the plastic container with the sandwich in it and place it on top of my desk

I should thank sooyoung later

I thought she’s going to annoy me the whole day, but I guess she feels sorry and decided to brought me a sandwich for a peace-offering

Luckily there’s also a drink inside the paper bag, and I don’t have to stand up and get one on my mini fridge

I grab the canned soda and placed it beside my sandwich

“thanks for the food” I happily said

“and thanks sooyoung!”

After saying my thanks, I quickly open the plastic container and grab the sandwich, the aroma of the sandwich is so enticing that even if there’s a cucumber in it I won’t mind eating it just to fill up my empty stomach

I placed it inside my mouth and took a small bite, I placed it back again at the container and grab my drink

I wiped it first then opened it

I took a sip and place it back again my desk, then grabbed again my sandwich. This time I took a large bite form it

But as soon as I took that bite, I quickly regretted it

As I’m chewing it, I can feel that there is something inside this sandwich that I really forbid

My worst enemy

I nearly spit it out, but god seemed to be at sooyoung and the other people who are planning to annoy me today sides

I already swallowed it, with the cucumber

I quickly drank my soda like there’s no tomorrow

I have to get rid off the nasty taste of that cucumber

“sooyoung your so dead!” I screamed

I can feel my face burning with anger and irritation

“you really are so dead sooyoung!” I screamed again as I stood up from my chair and readying myself to bust out my office and strangle that giant.

Who doesn’t have anything to do with her life but to annoy me

TIFFANY POV

“well…that” sooyoung sat up straight and rub her nape

“sooyoung your so dead!” suddenly we heard someone screamed sooyoung’s name

I look at sooyoung with furrowed eyebrows, she looks back at me with a mischievous smile

Why is she smiling like that?

“who said that?” I curiously asked her, but she just keeps on smiling like that

I shook her arm and demanded for an answer, sooyoung just laughs

“I think ice princess is going here now” she said with a little excitement In her tone

Ice princess?

Miss jung?

“you really are so dead sooyoung!” I think its miss jung who is screaming and cursing sooyoung

I look at the direction where miss jung’s office is located, the door suddenly opened

Coming out a blonde who’s really infuriated with anger

Sooyoung who is just sitting beside me chuckled nervously

“now, this is not the ice princess…it’s more worst…hellsica” she said while looking at Jessica who is approaching us

I never thought she would look like this when she’s awake.

She looks so peaceful when she’s sleeping earlier

i move a little from the side, a little away from sooyoung

but sooyoung noticed my move and immediately pull me close to her

miss jung is just three steps closer to us

what is sooyoung doing?

I don’t want to get fired, but it felt like that sooyoung is dragging me to this mess she did

I tried freeing my wrist from sooyoung, but she didn’t let me go

There’s no other way but to stare away and avoid miss jung

I’m praying that she won’t notice me

“sooyoung!” miss jung, I mean Jessica yelled and stomped her feet

I can feel that sooyoung is enjoying the scene

“did you like the sandwich I gave you?” sooyoung said

I don’t know what her expression is because I’m staring away from them but her voice sounded cool and I think she’s trying to annoy Jessica more

“you know I hate cucumbers” Jessica said now I think in control with her temper, as employees starting to gather and watch the scene

“I know” sooyoung said


why are you annoying me and ruining my day?” Jessica asked sooyoung

sooyoung lightly squeezed my hand, I think she’s telling me to look at Jessica

then suddenly it’s all silent

I don’t know if Jessica already left

I look up from the floor to where Jessica is standing

“tiffany?” she softly said my name, I think all the anger she’s feeling already dissipated to thin air

She’s staring at me

I stare back at her as I awkwardly smile

“hi, j-jessica”
