Foreword

a/n: and i'm back with a paranatural fanfic!!! just because you all make me happy!!

i'll strive to do better in this second EXO fanfic of mine!

hope you enjoy it!!!

It’s pouring. The rain is relentless and the wind is cold and harsh. The streets were empty, people keeping themselves warm inside their homes.

It’s getting late at night, and the harsh weather kept everyone from getting out. So Oh Sehun raised a brow as he watched a girl walked down the street, ignoring the cold drops of rain drenching her.

“What he heck is she doing? Does she have a death wish?” Sehun muttered as he floated towards the girl.

Sehun kept his distance, floating a few meters behind the girl, and watched as she walk as if she‘s in a trance. He’s normally not interested in following humans walk around the rain; he thinks it’s stupid. But he’s got nothing to do. Not that he’s usually busy anyways.

Watching people live their boring lives is tiring. If only he can travel to other parts of the world and not be stuck in this place. Even being able to travel out of Seoul would be good enough. He’s quite sick of watching these city people live their mundane lives. The only fun he gets to do is watch them do stupid things and embarrass themselves. But even that gets boring at times.

Because you see, Oh Sehun is 19 years old and he’s a ghost. Well, not exactly. Because as far as he knows, he’s still alive. Somehow. It’s just that he can’t go back to his body.

He doesn’t know why he get to be this way, just that blurry memory of seeing a car sped towards him as he pushed his best friend out of the said car’s way.

The next thing he knew, he’s lying on the street, feeling cold.

He had been pretty sure he was dead, but there were people around him, walking and chatting and doing whatever they were doing, not exactly how he pictured heaven…or hell.

He thought that the car hitting him was just a dream, but when a little girl walked THROUGH him, he realized that something was very wrong.

He thought he was dead for sure. He was angry, and sad, and depressed at the same time. His life ended just like that. One snap. Sure, he’s happy that it wasn’t his best friend that got hit. But he’s not entirely happy that he was the one who ended up dying! He’s too young to die! He haven’t even tried that new game Jongin had bought!

He wanted to yell, to punch someone, to take out his frustration on something. He was hopeless.

But then some sort of…person came…flying down towards him. Honestly, he thought that it was an angel coming down to finally get him and send him to where he was going to end up.

The person turned out to be his guardian, at least that’s how the person introduced himself.  And his guardian told him he wasn’t dead. Yet.  The accident made him end up like this, his soul separated from his body. He’s supposed to be in a coma at some hospital.

And Sehun can’t go back yet, for some stupid reason that his guardian wouldn’t just tell him in simple words. His guardian kept talking about he still have to find that thing that would make him want to live again. Or let go and decide that he doesn’t want to live anymore. He can’t understand. He wants to live! Isn’t that reason enough to allow him to go back? His guardian just give him a sympathetic smile. And it kept Sehun frustrated.

Anyways, back to present.

Sehun kept on following the girl, idly wondering how she might be feeling with the rain pouring down on her. He had been this way for months and all he ever felt is being unexplainably cold. But of course, he’s supposedly half dead.

Just then the girl stopped. Sehun thought she’d finally go somewhere to dry off.

“Finally. I guess it finally got to her brain that she’s freezing. What an idiot.” Sehun muttered dryly as he floated nearer towards the girl.

Then she suddenly broke down, kneeling on the wet pavement. Her shoulders shaking hard with sobs.

Sehun raised a brow. Has the cold finally made her crack?

“I hate you…” she sobbed. “I hate you…”

Sehun hovered beside her. He watched as she cried even more, her shoulder length hair sticking to her face and neck. She looks like an ugly, drenched puppy, he thought coldly.

“Why do I have to… why do I love you so bad. I hate you.” she cried, clenching her hand so tight, Sehun guesses she’s tearing bloody welts on her own palms.

“What have I done wrong?” she asked. “Was I not enough?”

Sehun thinks the girl is mental. Who in their right minds would ask senseless questions under the rain?

“Why do I have to love someone like you?” she asked again.

Sehun could see her tears cascading down her cheeks, mixing with the rain.

“Why can’t I just fall out of love with you?” her voice is so broken and that annoys Sehun so much.

Why do people have to be stupid? If someone doesn’t love you, why do you keep on loving them?

“Why can’t you just stop being stupid and move on? If he doesn’t love you then forget about him, idiot.” Sehun told the girl coldly.

Ah, this is one of those times Sehun wished he wasn’t how he is. He wished the girl could hear him so his words would go through her head. He hates people who are so stupid that they let others hurt them.

The girl’s head suddenly jerked up.

The next thing Sehun knew, he was staring eye to eye with the girl.

He could feel his heart galloping inside his chest. No freaking way. She doesn’t see him! No one was supposed to see him! His guardian specifically said that no one can see him!

“Who are you?” she asked.

Chapter 13: Nice and heartwarming story I read this in one shot :D well except from Anya's incident, I love all of your plot, and you manage to slip deep-meaning-words in the plot that make me ponder over how I've been living my life. Hope you'll let us readers know what happen between they two if you have ideas in mind ;)
