Later that night after dropping Changjo off at his house Niel, Ricky, and L'joe took turns showering back at the dorm. L'joe called the shower first so the latter two resigned to talking as they waited. It was their first time alone since Ricky arrived that morning. So they took the time to catch up.

“Today was fun. Thanks for inviting me.” Ricky said as he made himself comfortable next to his childhood friend.

“It was fun wasn’t it?” And thanks for coming, I’ve missed you.”

“That’s why they call it a phone or a laptop even.” He teased nudging the brunette’s side. He knew Niel missed him, he felt the same. School just had a way of occupying most of one’s time. “I’ve missed you too.” He added after getting an eye roll from Niel.

“I’m extremely happy that you and L'joe get along well. Meeting new people isn’t really his strong suite. The older admitted remembering their first encounter.

“Could have fooled me. He’s fun to be around.”

Niel sighed at Ricky’s answer realizing he’d never told the other about their first encounter where he had insulted L'joe on accident just like him.

The younger sat quietly as he listened to his tale. Though he had to laugh at his hyung’s invasion of personal space. He’d never really been good at it if he was being honest.

“Hyung, you know he probably only said yes so you’d move back right? You always get so close.” He chided not trying at all to hide the amusement in his voice, making Niel blush.

“Shut up!” Niel huffed before they continued their conversation.

Meanwhile in the shower L'joe could hear the muffled sounds of their conversation. It sounded like they were having a great conversation. As he finished drying and getting dressed he debated on whether or not he wanted to just hide in the bathroom and not impede on their time or risk getting called out for taking too long a shower.

In the end he opened the door and was greeted warmly and without interrupting the flow of their conversation. He didn’t think he’d be able to fit into their conversation as well as he was. Once he found his way to a spot on the floor across from Ricky he was meshed into their conversation like he’d belonged there to begin with.

After spending four years without anyone to really connect to. Yes he’s met people but was never around them long enough to really call them friends. It was refreshing to talk so freely with…with friend? Yes friends. He couldn’t stop the laugh surfaced, his smile bright.

“What’s so funny?” Ricky asked after his sentence was cut off mid word.

“Nothing, nothing it’s just been a good day.” L'joe responded to happy to be embarrassed about his outburst.

“It’ has been a fun day hasn’t it?” Niel mused aloud.

It had been rather nice despite its rocky start and Changjo's incised teasing everything turned out alright. By far the best night he’s had in a long, long time.

“Agreed!” Ricky replied before he got quiet, his gaze traveling to L'joe every so often to the point that that L'joe could feel that someone was watching him.

“Okay, whoever’s watching me stop.” The blonde said while fidgeting. “If you have a question just ask. Silence makes me agitated.” The oldest admitted for the first time out loud. Though he never planned on explaining why.

“S-Sorry” Ricky stammered out not expecting to be call out. “I do have a question but it might be a bit stupid.” He paused until L'joe motioned for him to continue.

“Do you know sign language?” The question made laugh as Niel groaned.

“Changhyun don’t-”

“Yes, yes I do.”

At the statement Niel couldn’t help but gawk a bit. What?

“How?” despite his best efforts the tallest had had to ask. It was just so hard to wrap his brain around the fact.

“When I first went blind the doctors sent me to a special facility for people with blind, mute and deaf disabilities. They help teach you the things needed to function with whatever disability you have. I had to spend a few months there so I could lean brail and other things needed to function blind.” L'joe replied unable to hide his amusement at Niel shocked question. “Do you know sign language since you asked?” the question clearly directed at Ricky.

The youngest nodded but then grunted a yes when Niel gave him a light swat promptly reminding him L'joe was blind. Nodding meant.

“Yes, my friend taught me a bit a few years ago.”

“Could you show me?” He asked enjoying the turn in conversation.

“Sure, I’m a bit rusty but I can still spell well.” Ricky couldn’t help but smile when L'joe moved a little closer to where he felt the latter was and held up his hand.

The youngest quickly caught on and lifted his hand to meet the blonds. He made the first letter against his palm and L'joe closed his hand around the shape.

“D, A, N, I, E, L” Each time the letter changed L'joe spoke it aloud.

“Cool, my friend told me sometimes at facilities like that if they were willing to learn they taught the different languages to you. Deaf learning brail, blind learning sign language.” Ricky commented beaming bright at being right in his guess.

“That’s true they encouraged diversity and learning how to do thing that usually require the sense that’s been lost. Like how I still play the piano and violin. My roommate at the time was deaf and still liked to dance, and from what I heard he really was good.” L'joe replied remembering how his roommate was the one who helped him practice his sign language. He had to get better if he wanted to talk to him since the other didn’t talk much or couldn’t L'joe never new which.

“Nice!”

Their conversation continued well into the night keeping them up pretty late. Early the next morning L'joe was woken up by soft shakes to his sleeping form. It took him a few tries to get his eyes open after such a late night. All his pretenses meeting new people aside it’s nice to have people to hang out with. Honestly being alone get lonely quickly. People are in no way his strong suit be he has hope that one day can be as open as he used to be.

After he managed to open his eyes the shacking stopped. It didn’t take him long to realize Ricky was the one that woke him. One L'joe is usually awake before Niel since his classes are earlier, two Niel sleeps like a rock and when he’s sleeping deeply he snores lightly.

“Hyung” Ricky whined slightly sleep still in his voice. “Niel wont wake up, we have to leave soon if we’re gonna get back before dark.”

After a few moments of collecting his thought L'joe spoke “I’m not surprised. What time is it?” He asked pressing the button on his phone illuminating the still dark room.

“It’s almost eight. Five minutes till.” He added while rubbing the sleep from his eyes.

“Okay, take my phone and put it right next to his face. I have my alarm set and it should wake him.”

Rickey hummed in agreement and did as L'joe said. The two started to get ready for the day as well as get things packed for their impromptu trip to the beach. Niel doesn’t like to drive at night if he doesn’t have to so Ricky was pressed to wake him lest Niel about it the whole drive home.

L'joe was in the bathroom brushing his teeth when his alarm sounded through the room effectively scaring the mess out of Niel as well as Ricky who’d forgotten about it. The blonde couldn’t help but laugh around his toothbrush at Niel's muttered curses.

Before long he felt a flick on the side of his temple. On reflex L'joe’s hand shot back in retaliation landing a solid smack on the youngest neck.

“Yah! Why do you always do that!” Niel whined honestly wanting to know if it was just for s and giggles.

“Because I care about you.” He responded smiling around his toothbrush again before taking it out of his mouth. “I’m your friend, I can’t just let you get nagged at because you sleep like the dead.” He added turning back to the sink.

Niel could only stare and be thankful L'joe was blind and wasn't sure if he would have been able to contain his blush. Though he wasn't sure why his statement affected him so.

“Hyung, HURRY UP! If we don’t leave in the next hour we won’t make it back by dark.” Ricky fussed again for the umpteenth time.

“Okay sorry! Stop fussing like an old woman” Niel final responded, having needed the distraction to stop the ramped blush and managed to earn a eye roll from Ricky.

With his limbs finally moving again he set his mind to packing his bag since he was the only one with nothing in their bags. It wasn’t long before he was finally ready with the other too at his side as they headed to the beach.
