Luhan felt how panic grabbed him, his breathing got heavier and he looked at Minseok, who didn’t seem to understand why Luhan was panicking.

“Minseok, where is Sehun?” Luhan asked, his voice were high-pitched because of the panic.

“What are you talking about?” Minseok asked.

Luhan pointed at the empty chair were Minseok had been sitting at.

“Sehun… he was sitting with me when you entered the café” Luhan explained.

Minseok looked at Luhan, his pupils were big. Minseok was both scared and worried about his friend.

Minseok bit on the inner side of the lip and swallowed.

“Luhan, you were sitting alone here when I came into the café”

Luhan and Minseok took Yixing to Luhan’s apartment. After throwing up at Luhan’s bathroom and drinking some water, Yixing finally fell asleep on Luhan’s couch. Luhan was sitting on the other edge of the couch, watching Yixing sleep so peacefully.

“Who is this guy?” Minseok asked Luhan, when Minseok as well sat down in the couch next to Luhan.

“His name is Yixing. He works at our favorite-café. He is nice and a good friend” Luhan explained.

Minseok nodded. “I thought I had seen him somewhere before”

Luhan nodded, he had been thinking of a way to tell Minseok about Jongin but it was so hard. How could he say it without hurting Minseok?

Yixing’s eyelids began to move and he slowly began to open his eyes.

“Are you okay?” Luhan asked when Yixing’s eyes were fully open and the dark-haired boy looked clueless and shocked around in Luhan’s living room.

Yixing sat up slowly and he nodded while he touched his temples that probably were hurting a lot right now.

“I’ll get some water” Minseok said and walked towards the kitchen.

The phone, Yixing’s white Samsung that was lying on the table in front of the couch, began to vibrate. The screen light up and a picture of a male with a handsome and manly face and orange-blonde hair appeared on the screen.

Luhan took the phone and read who it was that called.

“It’s someone called ‘Kris’, here” Luhan stretched out his hand so Yixing could grab the phone but Yixing didn’t take it.

“Just… hang up” Yixing said.

Luhan did what Yixing told him to do and put the phone back on the table.

“What do you want to do?” Luhan asked Yixing carefully.

Yixing shrugged. “Get out and take a walk, maybe?”

Luhan and Yixing decided to take a walk together. Minseok headed to his home since he thought that they wanted to be alone.

“Minseok is always taking care of me. He is like my big brother, always there for me when I need him” Luhan explained to Yixing.

Yixing had asked about Luhan’s and Minseok’s relationship.

“I wish I had a friend like that” Yixing sighed, his voice sounded empty and he didn’t look at Luhan at all.

“I can be that friend” Luhan smiled.

Yixing his head and forced out a smile towards Luhan. Yixing wanted to show that he was happy for that but he just couldn’t smile.

“Thanks, I appreciate it.” Yixing thanked. “Then you should know that Kris, the guy I told you to hang up the phone with is… or was… my boyfriend. He cheated on me with another guy and that’s why I’m here now”

“Oh…” Luhan didn’t know what to say and judging by how sad Yixing sounded Luhan realized that he should change topic.

Luhan stretched out his both arms into the air and took a deep breath.

“It’s so nice that spring is coming soon” Luhan breathed out the middle-temped air. It was the beginning of March and Luhan loved spring more than anything else.

“Yeah, spring is great” Yixing said to Luhan.

The two males headed to the park a few blocks away from Luhan’s apartment. The snow had already melted away and you could see the green grass in a few places.

“Oh, look!” Luhan pointed at small white flowers that were lying on the ground. “Snowdrops”

Snowdrops are Luhan’s favoriteflower. They are a sign that spring is coming for him.

“They are so pretty” Yixing bend on his knees and Luhan followed Yixing’s movements. They both studied the flower for a while.

Luhan stretched out his hand and picked up a snowdrop and gave it to Yixing.

“For you” Luhan said with a childish voice.

Yixing took the flower from Luhan’s hand with a bright smile on his lips. A smile that seemed to be more real than the smile he had smiled to Luhan before.

This smile was giving Luhan butterflies in his stomach.

‘Dear Sehun,

I met Yixing today. He was sad because his boyfriend has been cheating on him. I took a walk with him.

We looked at the snowdrops together. Just like you and me used to do.

I’m so happy with Yixing.

But I’m not in love with Yixing; I’m in love with Jongin.

Why is this so hard?
