~Epilogue~

‘Dear Sehun,

I’m sad for not knowing my heart before.

But now I know it. I have fallen deeply in love with Yixing.

Yixing is like you, but real. I’m in love with him with my whole heart. I can’t believe that I took a long time discovering it.

~Ten years later~

Luhan took a sip from his coffee and smiled towards Yixing. They were back in Seoul, and had been living there together for a couple of months now. Everything was still in a mess at their apartment but they still liked it.

Yixing glanced over the newspaper and saw that Byun Baekhyun, the singer he had been a back-up dancer for before, had died in a tragic car-accident.

“It’s funny how things end fast, right?” Yixing nodded towards the headline.

Luhan read it and nodded, he didn’t remember the name at first but then he understood what actually Yixing meant.

“Hello” a very familiar voice called for the back of Luhan. Luhan turned around and saw Minseok walking there with another man and a baby-carriage.

Luhan smiled brightly towards them and waved at them to come and sit with them.

Minseok hadn’t aged that much, he looked more mature now, yes, but he still had the baby-face. It looked like he had gained a few kilos as well.

“This is Kim Jongdae” Minseok introduced his boyfriend proudly.

Jongdae bowed towards the already sitting couple.

“I’m Luhan and this is my boyfriend Yixing” Luhan said politely.

“Take a seat” Yixing stood up to bring two chairs to the table.

“Is it your baby?” Luhan asked when Minseok took up the small baby of the carriage.

“Yes, our daughter” Minseok smiled towards Luhan. “Sunmi”

Luhan let Sunmi grab one of his fingers. “How old is she?”

“Five months” Jongdae explained and looked at Yixing.

“Surrogate-mother or adoption?” Yixing asked and took a sip from his coffee.

“Adoption, our surrogate-mother miscarried and we decided to try a safer method instead” Jongdae said.

Yixing nodded understanding. “Me and Luhan are also expecting a kid soon. We have a surrogate-mother though”

Minseok’s eyes widened. “Really? When’s the due-date?”

“April 12^th “Luhan smiled, still with his focus on the girl in Minseok’s arms.

“Congratulations” Minseok let Luhan carry the girl.

“Luhan really wants baby” Yixing took a sip from his coffee. “I know that he will be a great father”

“But does his condition allow him to take care of a baby?” Minseok whispered, so Luhan wouldn’t be able to hear a word of what he said.

Yixing nodded. “We spoke to a doctor; Luhan seems to be getting better. He hasn’t had any imaginations since we left Seoul. Well, he’s had bad dreams but nothing else. He’s doing fine”

“I even have a job now” Luhan said, he had heard exactly everything they had been speaking about. “Joonmyeon said it was okay for me to get a work”

“Where are you working?” Minseok asked.

“Here” Luhan smiled “Kris hired be yesterday”

Minseok swallowed and looked at Luhan, eyes filled with worry. “Luhan, can I ask you one thing?”

Luhan nodded.

“Are you still writing letters?”

Luhan bit his lower lip. He wasn’t writing letters every night as he did before but he was still writing letters. When he felt like he needed to ease his heart, mostly after a bad dream.

“After my bad dreams” Luhan said simply as he handed over the baby-girl to Minseok.

“Good to hear” Minseok smiled.

Yixing took a look at his clock. “We have to go now. I have to meet a script-writer and show him my latest book”

Luhan nodded in agreement. Yixing had finally discovered what he wanted to be; novelist. His books were doing well and it was mostly about homoual love.

“It was nice to meet you” Luhan said. “Let’s meet again soon. You have my phone-number so you can just call me”

Minseok nodded. “I will”

That night, Luhan wrote his last letter to Sehun. He felt like he didn’t need Sehun by his side anymore.

With that letter, he also said good-bye to Sehun and Jongin. The persons he thought he had loved but discovered that it was wrong.

Those persons were nothing but versions of Yixing, only that Yixing was better. And real.

‘Dear Sehun,

I’m sorry…

Good-bye

But maybe, there will be a Sehun guarding over Luhan. Because Sehun was always real to Luhan.
