My eyes widen upon hearing his answer and surge of realization hit me, slap me hard. I’m so foolish telling a stranger about my impossible wish and the thing that make me angry, I think the stranger only play with me. “Bastard!” I screamed and pushed him, “If you only want to play with me, you already done a good job. Very good job.” I stood up angrily, “My soul? Tsk…”

“But I’m saying the truth.”

I shook my head, “No one can bring a dead human to live.”

“I’m not no one. I’m more than that.” He said firmly, for a moment makes me questioning again, did he tell the truth?

Both of us didn’t say another words. I was too immersed with my own thought and him; I don’t know what he was thinking.

“Listen,” he finally broke the awkward silence between us, “I won’t push you to believing anything I said or do anything I said but your despair make me pitying you and I couldn’t help but offering a chance. If you don’t want this chance, fine, I’ll leave now.” He sounded so annoyed; I think he really will leave when he turned his body and starts walking away.

“Wait.”

That stranger stopped in his track.

I gulped nervously, I don’t know I was do the right thing or not but I won’t know if I didn’t try, right? “You said you can bring Heechul back if I give my soul?”

That man nodded.

“That’s mean I’ll die, you’ll kill me and take my soul after I meet with Heechul?”

“Figuratively, yes I’ll own your soul once you agreeing my offer, but no, I won’t kill you. That’s you who’ll decide when or how you’ll give your soul to me. Understand?”

I shook my head.

“Listen, after you met with Heechul, you’ll never meet me anymore although I’ll still keep my eyes on you. You can continue your life normally. No need to worry about your soul or whatsoever. I won’t disturb you.”

“So, how you take my soul?”

“I won’t take your soul my dear friend. It’s you who’ll give that to me when you die. And I don’t know when you’ll die.  Maybe next year, or next centuries for all I care. As long as in the end, you will give your soul to me. So, what do you think?”

His offer seems good for me and if that is mean Heechul will back to me, so, why not. “I agree.”

“Are you sure?”

“I’m never so sure like this. But you’re not joking right?”

“I never show up to random human without killing them in the next minutes you know and you still alive although ten minutes has passed, so nope, I’m not joking.”

He offered his hand. As I took it for a handshake, I felt burning sensation on my palm. He released his hand and tiny mark printed at my palm and I understand what that was. A seal of our contract.

“When will I see Heechul?” I asked, eyes still fixed on the marr.

“The time will come.”

I look up to him, “What are you? An angel or devil or god?”

“I’m more than that.”

Suddenly, he’s disappeared and I know, I already made a real deal with my soul as warranties with one of supernatural creature which I don’t know from what kind he was.

Without Siwon know, the stranger was watching him from a far. He stood at one of tall statue with his friend stood beside him.

“You supposedly don’t involving yourself in human problem, Mir. Moreover, you’ll play with death and fate. You know the risk right?” Cheondung say quietly.

“He reminds me with myself when Joon die. I must help him.”

“But the soul?”

“Nothing is free in this world. He’ll be like me when he die, waiting for our lover reincarnation in eternity, fall in love once again with our lover only to cry and letting go our lover when they die and waiting again until the same process happened. He must ready for the risk. An eternity pain.”

“How you bring Heechul to life then?” Cheondung ask but Mir didn’t give him an answer.
