CHAPTER 4: (Donghae’s POV)
6:00 in the morning, I woke up in the midst of the clanking and crashing. I searched for Seohyun which was supposed to be by my side, but as expected; she’s gone. I rushed to the kitchen, knowing that the noise is coming from there. I peeked slowly because I’m afraid of how the kitchen will look like after Seohyun’s ‘makeover’. There were pots, pans, and a lot of mess all over the floor. I saw her standing on a stool reaching for the fruit basket which is on top of the cabinets; I saw here feet already close to the stool’s edge.
“S-Seohyun!” I yelled
She looked at me from her shoulder but then she stumbled from the stool. I rushed to her catching her; we both landed on the floor. Due to the impact of our fall, the ground shakes for a moment causing the basket of apples to fall right in Seohyun’s lap. She smiled, stood up, got the basket of apples then she happily trotted to the living room.
“She didn’t even say thank you…” I thought “Wait…how can she even say thank you?”
I scratched my head as I headed for the living room. I saw her there lying on her chest, peeling an apple with her nails. I approached her then I snatched the apple from her.
“Seohyun…I told you that you have to peel it with a knife…I don’t want you to get hurt…but if you really can’t, give it to me…I’ll peel it for you…” I smiled
I thought that she will blush for all of those cheesy words that I’ve said but she just tilted her head on me. I sighed as I headed to the kitchen for a knife.
“If only she was a lot more mature…I will really fall for her if that really happens” I mumbled as I peeled an apple
After peeling and slicing it all I went back to the living room. I found her still lying on her chest, but she’s drawing this time. I looked at her drawing; it was some kind of doodles and shapes that even I can’t understand. I placed the bowl of apples beside her. I sat in front of her then I got a slice of apple.
“You can’t be left alone huh?” I chewed
I look at the clock its still 6:48 a.m.
“How can you wake up in such hour?” I mumbled
She looked up to me, sit up, then she held her stomach.
“I know you're hungry but you shouldn’t wake other people up” I said
She just stared at me then she went back on doodling.
*Sigh*
I stood up then I went to the sofa. I picked up my phone then I called one of the girls I’ve dated (It’s not that I’m unfaithful to Sooyoung, it’s just that I want someone to accompany me). It started ringing then someone picked it up.
“Yuhbosehyo?” a voice answered
“Ya, Jessica; I want you to come over” I said
“You called me for something like that?” Jessica replied “It’s still so early!”
“Please, I need you--” I paused from a sudden shriek from the other side
“R-Really?!” Jessica shrieked
“Err…Yeah…” I said
“Be right there!” Jessica said as she hanged up
“I-I need you to take care of Seohyun!” I yelled to the phone
*toot, toot, toot, toot*
*Sigh* that girl never listens; maybe that’s the cause of our sudden break-up.
“Ya…Seohyun…change your clothes” I said “You’ll go with Jessica today”
After changing; Seohyun is all set, were just waiting for Jessica to arrive. At around 7:30 a knock from the main door was heard. I opened it and saw Jessica wearing (for me) weird clothes. She must've thought that I’m the one accompanying her today. I chuckled at the sight.
“O-Oppa…why are you wearing your work clothes? You're not supposed to wear a coat and tie in a date…” Jessica said
“I need you to take Seohyun for a walk…” I chuckled
“B-Bwoh?!” Jessica shrieked
“Here’s the money” I chuckled as I gave her about ten thousand won (about 3000+ in Peso bills and 9 dollars in US bills)
“B-But—” Jessica paused as I gave her a kiss on the cheek
“Please? For me?” I chuckled
“O-Okay…but just this once…” Jessica mumbled “Where is little Seohyun by the way?”
I laughed hard as I heard this; she thinks Seohyun is a child.
“W-Why are you laughing?” Jessica asked
“Come inside…I’ll introduce you to Seohyun” I said
After coming inside Jessica was dumbfounded as she saw Seohyun.
“Jessica…this is Seohyun…” I said
“B-But she looks like she’s on the same age as me” Jessica replied
Seohyun hid at my back as she heard Jessica’s loud voice.
“Yes she is…but mentally; she’s not…” I said
“What is she, a lunatic?” Jessica scoffed
“No…I can’t understand it either…come on; I’ll drop you off the mall” I smiled
At the mall Seohyun doesn’t want to let go of my arm; she kept pulling it.
“Come on now Seohyun…I need to go to work” I said
Seohyun looked at me with her puppy dog eyes. Then she nuzzled unto my arm
“Come on now Seohyun, time is running out!” Jessica said as she placed her hand on her waist
“I promise Seohyun…when I get home, I’ll buy you apples…” I smiled, holding Seohyun’s shoulder “Is that okay?”
She looked at me, still with the puppy dog look on her face then she nodded. I ruffled her hair.
“I’ll be back…” I said
“Okaaaaaaaaaay, enough chit chat go to your work Donghae…I’ll take care of her” Jessica said as she pulled Seohyun to her
“Bye” I said as I waved then I mounted my car

(Jessica’s POV)
After Donghae left, we went inside. I find it awkward because were like sisters, hanging out inside the mall (I was the big sister and she’s the younger one)
“This girl…acting all so mushy with Donghae…” I thought
She looked at me.
“W-What do you want?” I scoffed; irritated by her face
She held her stomach.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” I asked
She then pointed her finger inside .
“W-Wait a minute…y-you're mute?” I asked
She nodded.
“Hmmm…” I said “You think Donghae likes you?”
She nodded excitedly.
“I’m sorry girl…Donghae took you in because of pity” I said as I turned right in front of her
She tilted her head.
“You don’t know what pity is?” I chuckled “What an idiot…”
She still seems puzzled.
“If you don’t get it, here’s the exact words…He HATES you…” I said
She was taken a back; her eyes full of despair.
“Yes…be scared…he’ll be throwing you out soon…” I chuckled
I saw her eyes already tearing up; I held her wrists.
“So if you don’t want me telling Donghae about throwing you out, keep your distance from him” I said
She nodded quickly. I released her hand; I know it’s harsh of me to do this but if I can’t have Donghae…no one will.
