Author’s POV

“Dude, what happened out there,” Dujun asked Gi Kwang following him to the living room.

Gi Kwang did not want to talk about it. He was confused, mad, and glad. He was confused because he didn’t know what that girl’s problem was. He was mad because that girl was making him confused. He was glad because he got the opportunity to stump her and pretty much give her a ‘warning’ of some sort.

“Boola. I don’t know, man.”

“What do you mean you don’t know? Do you know who she is?”

Dujun being the leader of BEAST, he did not want his friend being in a trouble and starting rumors. Dujun could predict tomorrow’s top story.

“It’s nothing,” Gi Kwang said. “I’ll tell you after my nap.”

Gi Kwang walked off to his room. The rest of them stood there in the living looking at each other. They sat down on the couches.

“Was that a ex-girlfriend?” Yoseob asked.

“It can’t be. He would have told us,” Hyunseung said.

“Wait!” Yoseob quickly said. “That one day Gi Kwang was being weird. He was asking about a girl. A… A… Ma Roo! That’s the name!”

The guys looked at him.

“What are you talking about?” Dujun gave Yoseob a look.

“I think Gi Kwang is having some girl issue,” Junhyung predicts.

“Maybe.” Yoseob has a frown on his face. “But isn’t Ma Roo a boy name though?”

They are quiet and think about it. They all knew for sure 100 percent that Ma Roo was a boy name. No way could it be a girl. Then Yoseob’s head snapped up.

“Andwae. He’s not...

 

 

 

 

…gay, right?”

 

 

 

 

The boys laughed at Yoseob.

“Yoseob, stop coming up with silly conclusions; you know he likes girls,” Hyunseung said.

“Oops, sorry. Silly me.”

“You know what, we should just let this go for now,” Dujun said. “When Gi Kwang decides to tell us, he will. If manager comes and asks, say you don’t know anything. We don’t want to create any problems with Gi Kwang.”

“Adiso,” Yoseob said.

“But you know what’s weird,” Junhyung said crossing his arms. “It was just a fan girl. Why is Gi Kwang getting so worked up, you know.”

Junhyung then walks away.

“He’s right. It is odd,” Hyunseung added.

The boys knew that when Gi Kwang was confused about things, he needed some alone time. But when it came to girls, it was a no problem. Why was he acting like that?

“LEE GI KWANG!” That was the manager’s voice.

“Look!” He throws the newspaper on the table. The guys stopped eating breakfast and stared at a picture of Gi Kwang handing Hyosung her photo back. The headlines read, “Gi Kwang’s Secret Admire”. They opened to page three and Yoseob read aloud.

“Yesterday during BEAST’s fan meeting, one girl stood out from the rest of the fans. While meeting, it seemed that the couple was in deep conversation. Then she ran off but suddenly stopped by a guard. Before you know it, Gi Kwang was right behind her giving back her photo. People did not know who she was and could not identify her for now. Maybe the famous Gi Kwang knows who she is. Are they lovers? Did they have a lover’s quarrel?”

They looked at Gi Kwang. He was eating breakfast still.

After taking the nap, Gi Kwang thought about the situation. It was his fault. His curiosity got the best of him. If he didn’t confront her, none of the things afterwards would have happened. He probably embarrassed the girl even though she looked mad. Now he had to deal with the after part.

Gi Kwang glanced up at them.

“The story is almost true. We did talk and all but she’s not a girlfriend or lover.”

A couple of them let a breath out. Gi Kwang then turned his head to the manager.

“Don’t worry. It’s nothing serious. It won’t happen again. I’m sorry.”

The guys were shocked at Gi Kwang’s calmness. Usually when a story came out about something of him, he would criticized or said something about it. This time it was an apology.

Gi Kwang thought he was done with cleaning the restrooms but nope. Life was not fair and sometimes the deeds that he was doing, was fair. Again, he was dressed in the ugly overalls. Gosh, did it ruin his image a bit. He clicked the elevator button going up. It then stopped to his destination. Gi Kwang was buttoning the overall and didn’t see the person in front of him. What a surprise that was casting his way. He looked up and his heart fell.

 

 

The person in front of him was the last person he wanted to see. In front of him were two pairs of wide eyes. There stood in front of him that girl and Ma Roo in his wheelchair.

Hyosung and Ma Roo could not believe who was in front of them.

“GI KWANG?!” Ma Roo could not believe his eyes.

“Ah… um… annyeong.” Gi Kwang did not know what to say.

All of a sudden, a burst of laughter came out.

It was Hyosung.

Gi Kwang and Ma Roo looked at her laughing her off at something they couldn’t find funny enough during the circumstance.

Hyosung covered from being too loud. She couldn’t help it.

“What’s so funny, Noona?”

Hyosung pointed at Gi Kwang. He raised an eyebrow.

“Look at his outfit!”

Hyosung laughed even harder. Ma Roo looked more closely too and laughed.

Gi Kwang did not know what was so funny.

“Gi Kwang. Your overalls! It has… doo doo on it,” Ma Roo said through his laughter.

Gi Kwang looked down. OH. MY. GOSH.

Never in his life has he ever felt so humiliated.

“OH MY GOSH!” Gi Kwang covered himself by turning around.

Hyosung and Ma Roo couldn’t help but laugh still.

“Stop it now. No laughing at me.”

“Sorry. We couldn’t help it,” Hyosung said through her laughter.

Gi Kwang looked behind his shoulders watching those two people laughing at him. Ma Roo had the cutest laugh. Gi Kwang stared at Hyosung. She had the cutest laugh too. Her gums were sticking out which made her smile wider. Her laugh could be contagious in a different situation. Her laugh lit up her face making him see a different person than before.

Before they knew, the elevator door was closing on them. Gi Kwang stuck his foot out saving it just on time. The elevator woke him up and he came back to his senses. He didn’t know why he was acting this… silly and clueless way.

Gi Kwang cleared his throat. “Sorry about that. Please excuse me.” Gi Kwang got out of the elevator.

Hyosung heard the tone of Gi Kwang’s voice. It flipped from uncontrolled to control.

She pushed Ma Roo into the elevator.

“It was nice seeing you Gi Kwang.” Ma Roo giving him his best smile after the laughter.

Gi Kwang nodded his head. While the elevator door was closing, out of nowhere, so unexpected, Gi Kwang and Hyosung locked eyes.

GI KWANG’S POV

That girl’s eyes were still twinkling from the laughter. She had a smile on her face. I stared at her, not sure what the reasoning was. I couldn’t help it. The door closed.

I let out a huge sigh that I didn’t know was there. What was wrong with me? Since when do I become speechless in front of a girl who is a stranger to me? Oh yeah, that doesn't count because I’ve seen her a thousand times so it doesn’t make her a stranger. She made me tongue twisted. I shook my head. You know what? Let’s just get back to work.

For a second, I almost forgot about what they were laughing at. I was at the last restroom and I then looked in the mirror and saw the hilarious and gross figure. The ‘doo doo’ was all over the waist part of my overall. I couldn’t help but laugh too. Oh did I look hideous. If I saw this on someone, I would laugh my off too. I flashed back to that girl laughing. Gosh, what a pretty face. I caught myself.

Stop. Stop it. I don’t know her name. She is a stranger and possibly a stalker too. I got into my mode. How did she know where I would be? Does she know the same Ma Roo too? Out of all the places, why would it be in the hospital? What in the world was happening?

The first thing Gi Kwang was going to do tomorrow was look for Ma Roo. He needed to find out the answers to all his questions. He felt that Ma Roo was the only one who knew what was happening. No way was he going to encounter that girl for the answers.

To be honest, after writing that last chapter, I got so excited. I started brainstorming and came up with different ideas for the next story but I didn’t start writing yet. For those who have been waiting, thanks. Hope you enjoy this one.

Oh yeah, my goal is to at least write over 1000 words for each story so they are longer so then it doesn’t seem like I have more chapters to go… but I think I will. Oops.

I was going to add more to this chapter but decided to wait.
