"Emiko?" Dongho tried to shake me back to reality. "EMIKO!"

I quickly grabbed the phone hoping Mrs. Lansinag didn't hang up. To my relief she didn't and I could ask what happened. 

"Wh-What happened?" I asked. "How'd he die?"

Dongho, who can't speak fluent English or understand English well, sat there clueless. 

"Oh god, It's English." Dongho said to himself.

"He was running down stairs and he slipped and his umbrella flew out of his hand and he fell down and got stabbed through the neck with the umbrella." She cried.

"I'm so sorry." Emiko cried.

"I'm sorry?" Dongho repeated to himself. "What'd she do? Why is she crying?"

"It's not your fault sweetie." Jose's mom said

"If only there was a way to prevent it. So, when'd he finally stop crying about me leaving?"

"It took him two full week. You could hear him cry from downstairs." She said.

"Don't worry, If his spirit is with me I'll take good care of him."

"Thank you Emiko. You've always been the perfect friend to him." 

She soon hung up and I faced Dongho. May as will fill him in on what happened?

"What happened?" He asked.

"Jose is dead." I replied. "He died three months ago."

He let me rest my head on his chest.

"Oh god now that I think of it. If I lose you too I don't think I'd be able to go on." I told him 

"You don't have to worry about that for a long time." He replied
