Chapter 4

 

 

MIR:

The familiar tone of my phone goes off. the caller ID says Joon hyung 

"hello?" 

I answer.

 "Chulyong listen to me."

 he says in a serious voice. 

My heart drops. 

"we're... eating pizza without you!" An explosion of laughter erupts in my ear.

 "Hyungs, now is not the right time."

as I'm about to end our pointless conversation I hear G.O hyung protest 

"NO! Wait, we actually called to tell you that Rain  hyung wants us to practice right now." 

I let out a sigh 

"ok ill be over soon." 

 I REALLY feel like I should stay but it's not like I'm helping her or anybody else by staying. Gunally one of the nurses puts her on some pain relief, it loosened her muscles, and finally her Hand releases my shirt.

  I head out of the room and head towards the front desk, once there I ask

 "um i'll pay for the patient in room 167." 

The  lady at the desk types a few things into her computer. 

 "The total is $389. How would you like to pay? I check my wallet I have enough cash from the paycheck Rain hyung gave me a few days ago. 

"Cash I guess."

 I pull out all my cash and shuffle through its until I find the correct amount. 

"Wow, not many people pay with cash these days. You must have a high salary." 

The young female receptionist  says.

 "I guess you could say that." While I hand her the money our eyes meet for a moment, a flash of recognition shows in her eyes. Crap, I hope she doesn't overreact! 

"Wait aren't you from... Beast?" What the? Well at least I don't have to lie. 

"Sorry, I think your mistaking me  for someone else." 

 I say with a smile. 

"Sorry, you really remind me of someone."

 She says with a confused look. She hands me my change. "Thanks." 

i head to the large glass doors, keeping my head down, hoping nobody recognizes me. I spot a foreigner rushing in followed by a crying ahjuma and a teenage girl. Those probably are the people I called, 

good she has people to look over her. I think. well i feel a sliver less bad about leaving her. 

 

My hyungs greet me at the dorm "lets goooo!" 

G.o screams. As we pile into the van. 

"How was the date?"

 SungHo asks me. 

"Um, ok I guess." 

 "Do you like her?" Thunder hyung asks.

 "Is she pretty?" 

Joon hyung asks. 

"yeah I she seems nice, and very pretty, she's a model." 

Joon hyung makes up a song about me and the model getting married. causing all the members but me, to laugh. Today's events knocked me out of my usual goofy mood and into a guilty ball of depression,  All through practice and the remainder of the day I could only think of her... What was her name? JiEun? I think so... Suddenly, G.o hyung yells "BOO!" I let out a  screech and fall off the couch 

"what's wrong with you?!?!"

 I snap at G.O hyung. I feel eyes staring at me as I storm off into my room. 

I lay on my bed pouting. A few moments later I hear the door nob wiggle around.

 "Yah, ChulYong! You can't lock me out of my own room!"

 Joon hyung yells. 

He has a point. I get up and unlock the door. Instantly Joon hyung bursts in and closes the door behind him. I cover myself head to toe in the blanket. 

Hiding myself from him. Suddenly Joon hyung sits on me. 

"I'm not in a good mood. Get off!" I yell. 

"Not until you tell me what's wrong!"

 He replies in the same tone. "Come on, something must have happened. you've never once yelled at us, or gone an hour without laughing or making some terrible joke... Come on you can trust your hyung!"

 I let out a deep breath and uncovered my face

 "fine. Now can you get off?"

 "I don't feel like it. Start from the beginning."

 Joon hyung replies.

 "Ugh, whatever... When I got to the coffee shop, i found her all beaten up and she tried to punch me... B-But then she just collapsed at my feet. So I took her to the hospital. I tried to call her family but she only had 3 contacts and none were family..." My throat starts to choke up and i'm fighting tears. 

"I don't know why that's bothering me so much."

 I try to keep a poker face but I'm sure he can tell I'm on the edge of tears. He pats my head 

"don't let it get to you, I'm sure you did all that you could, you have a good heart." 

"No I should've stayed to make sure she's okay! It's my responsibility!!!" I scream finally tears of guilt stream down my face.

 

POV CHANGE: thunder

After Mir lost his temper I  stare at the door watching Joon hyung pound on the door begging for Mir to let him in. Once Joon hyung goes in, we hear yelling followed by soft talking voices. Now that I think of it Mir has been silent almost all day. 

What happened to our maknae? All of our curiosity's can't take it any more. We all silently peek into Mir and Joons room. What the... Joons sitting on him... 

And he's crying? What is going on? Mir is just barely making words in between his sobs. 

This is by far the weirdest thing that's happened since our debut! SungHo hyung opens the door all the way and walks in, and we all follow him in. Once Joon notices us he stands up. Mir covers his face with his blanket. once his sobs slow down we all pick up the blob known a Mir and drag him into the floor, we all tackle him And goof around until his sobs turn into laughter.  After about 10 minutes, our rough play turns into a conversation about our next concert.  

"Mir,  what do you want to do for your solo?" 

SungHo asks. Our attention turns to Mir. Who we find sleeping on the floor. Just as SungHo is about to wake him.  Joon hyung interrupts 

"Hyung, don't. he's had a long day."

 I grab his blanket and cover the sleeping Mir. All the members and I move out into the living room to avoid waking the maknae. 

"What the heck happened to him?" 

G.o hyung asks Joon hyung. 

Joon hyung hesitates at first, but takes a deep breath and explains all that happened.
