Chapter 3

 

 

 

Oh my gosh! What do I do? I pull out my phone and call 911 

“hello, it's an emergency. come to rose coffee, I found a girl passed out and she’s all bloody!” 

they reassure me that they’re on their way. I hang up.

 I pick her up and carry her to a table and set her down on top of it. 

“hello? Is anybody here?” 

I yell into the small coffee shop… no reply, DANG IT! To make things worse she starts crying in her passed out state. 

What do I do? 

I Just treat her like I would my noonas if they were crying.

 I awkwardly her hair for what seems like forever. Finnaly I hear sirens!

 I start to walk away to wave them in but my shirt is caught on something I look to see what it is, her small fist is death gripped on my shirt. I try to pry her hand off, its no use! Nothing is going to make her let go. 

“In here! Medics! Were in here!” 

I scream as loud as I can. A moment later they make their entrance, storming in the room. “over here.”

 I say In my normal talking voice they rush over with a gurnee and the three of us lift her onto the gurnee. 

They push the gurnee out of the shop and then into the ambulance I trot along because I can’t get out of her grip. 

After a short ride we make it to the hospital. 

Again I trot next to the rolling bed to her room. 

“how do you know her?” 

one of the medics asks 

“ah, that is… I don’t know her. I just arrived and she collapsed.”

 I explain.

 “can you find her phone? Call her parents and teachers.” 

A medic says.

 “oh, sure.” 

I spot a rectangle object in her front pocket.  I pull it out. I search the device for a power button found it! As I look for the contact menu. Doctors are bussily working. I feel like I’m just in the way. But I’m still being held as her prisoner.  I find the contacts menu:

Boss

Samantha 

I scroll down but to my surprise that’s it. She only has 3 contacts. I click on ‘Boss’ and call her after 4 rings I hear an older lady’s voice “JiEun-ah?” 

so her name is JiEun? 

“ah, sorry. This isn’t JiEun, she’s in the hospital near her work place.”

“what? What?!?! I’ll be right there!”

 then she just hangs  up.

 I click on SeoHyun next,  and almost instantly she picks up “yes? Eonni?” I repeat the same message as last time 

“what?” 

she exclaims, And starts to cry on the spot. Not sure what to do I just hang up. Last one I call ‘Samantha’ after a few rings another female voice awnsers “hello?” 

my eyes widen. She’s speaking English! I take a deep breath “hello… you… do know JiEun?” 

I say probably sounding stupid. “what? Um, JiEun yeah, I know her.”

 She replies 

“ummmm, She… not good… health,”

 darn! what is the word for hospital in English? 

“d-doctor, she doctor.” I say awkwardly 

“is she at the hospital?” she asks “YES! h-hospital here!” 

“which hospital?” 

I don’t understand… 

“umm say again?”

 “where is JiEun?” 

“OH! Close to job!”

“I'll be there soon!” 

she says then, hangs up.

 I did it! I let out a huge sigh. I look at JiEun. So much is happening I cant take everything in. one nurse is washing the dried blood off her face. Once I see her face NOT covered in blood I relize how pretty she is… was she the model I was spossed to meet?
