"Oh Hai there~  I know I'm such a bad author-nim so mianhaeyo!"

Walking into their cabin Sooyoung ignored Yoona's smirk as she flopped onto her own bed. Her mind was racing with thoughts she couldn't quite sort out and usually she had a handle of control on the things that happened in her life. Clearly her friend had nothing better to do than bug her.

"Not now Yoong"

"What? Why?" she whined "I've been waiting for hours!!! You can't leave me hanging."

"Really Yoong?"

"Please?" She pleaded with the biggest puppy eyes she could muster.

"No."

"But why?"

"Because I said so-"

"The least you could do is thank me for hooking you guys up! So please??"

"Fine!"

Slumping onto her bed Sooyoung stretched out on her back before she relayed the enitre encounter to Yoona. An eery silence followed when she finally finished, before Yoona let out an ear piercing squeal. Sooyoung glared at her friend. She was having a fieldtrip about this.

"See, this is why I hate telling you about this stuff" she groaned, throwing a pillow towards Yoona before rolling over to face the wall.

"Shut, Up," she smiled trying to stop her giggles. "Kai freaking kissed you!" she squealed again "On the lips!!!"

"I hate you"

"I love you too~ Anyway, you have to give him an answer."

"An answer for what?" Sooyoung asked with her brows furrowed.

Yoona stood from her bed and headed off towards the small  drawers they'd left their bags under before she was rummaging through the bags  and throwing pieces of clothing over her shoulder. Sometimes Yoona wondered how her friend that was supersmart could be so dense at the same time.

"Don't play dumb with me Soo. The boy is waiting for an answer."

"But I dont have an answer!" Throwing her hands up in exasperation she glared at Yoona when a shoe came flying by barely missing her head.

"Sorry?"

Yoona gave her a sheepish grin but Sooyoung only glared back, she was so not sorry. Yoona paused her shuffling to face her distressed friend.

"It's simple Sooyoung the answer is either yes or yes"

Sooyoung treid not to laugh as Yoona raised her brows suggestively. This girl was inconsolable, is she thought a pair suited she was going to make her job to see to it that the two people would end up together. Especially if one of those person's happened to be her childhood best friend.

"Don't be ridiculous Yoong. It was only a kiss."

"Really? I thought it was more of a ."

Yoona let out a squeal of laughter as Sooyoung's face turned a bright shade of red.

"Oh don't you dare lie to me Soo, I've seen the way you two love birds have been stealing glances at eachother. Sooyoung;s cheeks felt hot as she glared back at her best friend. You could never get much past Yoona. It was hard for her to imagine herself with him of all people. Guys like Kai didn't go for girls like her, he was known for being tthe schools boy toy, and almost every girl at school followed him around in hopes he would notice them, and she was just...she was just normal. Plain even.

"Stop it" 

Yoona's voice disturbed her thoughts.

"Stop what?"

"Stop thinking. I can see you're trying to talk yourself out of it and I'm going to be the amazing friend that I am and talk you into giving it a chance. Give him a chance."

Sooyoung sighed, a dull throb making it's appearence in her head as she tried to relax. She hadn't expected things to turn out like this. A slight fear rushed down her chest like butterflies. He'd shown her a side that went against everything she'd heard about him so what was she so scared of? Shaking her thoughts she focused on the frantic Yoona digging through her bags again.

"What are you doing? You're making a mess in our cabin... wait isn't your arm supposed to be injured?" Sooyoung added glaring suspiciously at her friend.

"I...uh... would you look at that? I guess that aspirin really kicked in. Anyway get your off the bed we're going out." Yoona smiled happily.

"It's almost 11pm and you're going out? curfew was half an hour ago" 

"You're such a goody two shoes"

Yoona huffed before hoisting her reluctant friend off the bed. She loved the girl to bits but sometimes she wished she'd rebel a little more, maybe that's why they fit so well together. Sooyoung was usually the voice of reason that she trumped out with her voice of 'you only live once' most of the time she won out. A slight guilt usually overtook her thoughts at the thought of forcing her friend out of her comfort zone but if it meant hitching her with th super cute guy she was all game.

"Get that cute little over here and put this on."

"I'm not leaving this cabin Yoona." 

Yoona simply rolled her eyes, as she continue to look through her bag. Despite being friends all their life she wondered how Sooyoung still hadn't come to the terms that Yoon would always have her way. 

...

A few moments later the two girls emerged from the shelter of their dorm room. True to her word Yoona had convinced Sooyoung to join her, she hadn't come willingly either Yoona having had to force Sooyoung into a sweater and sneakers before shoving her out the door. So maybe she didn't convince her but atleast her friend was with her now.

As the girls quietly manouvered throughout the camp site Sooyoung couldn't help but glance over her shoulder every few seconds.

"Yoong if we get caught and my brother hears about this he will ground me so bad, and then I'll never get to stay at my house..."

"Shut it Soo" Yoona cut her off with a finger placed over her lips. "The only way we'll get caught is if you keep worrying and talk so loud. We're almost there so hush"

Nodding her head Sooyoung scanned her surroundings one more time before they made a dash across the field and into the same forest she had the chance encounter with Kai.

Their tread to the other side of the lake was quiet but soon enough they saw their familiar bunch of friends huddled together in a circle with their torches. Sooyoung made the mistake of looking up just in time to see Kai staring at her. Avoiding his gaze she reluctantly fell into Sehun's embrace as he pulled her away from Yoona's side. Soon enough Tao and Baekhyun had huddled up beside her too, while Yoona  managed to squeeze herself a spot beside Sooyoung.

Yoona didn't miss the agitated look on Kai's face as he stared at them, or more specifically the brunette who stood beside her. She watched his gaze flicker down to Sehun's arm that was wrapped around Sooyoung's waist before a scowl corssed his features.

"So where to now?" Tiffany spoke up from the other side of the circle, with Luhans arms securely wrapped around her.

"I was thinking we could play a childish game of hide and seek" This time it was Suho that spoke up with a mischievious grin on his face.

A series of grunts spread around the circle with some of the girls complaining about the darkness. Sooyoung had zoned out and continued to stare at the ground before Yoona tugged her arm.

"Come on Soo lets go!"

"Go? Go where?" Glancing around herself Sooyoung finally noticed her group of friends running off into different directions and into the forest.

"Hurry up! Suho and Chanyeol are counting we have to hide or else we get caught"

Stumbling over her own feet Sooyoung let Yoona drag her along for a while before they stopped by a large tree and settled down beside it. 

"You know I can't run" Sooyoung huffed trying to catch her breath.

Heart thundering in their chest the girls sat quietly for quite some time before they heard a shriek and then loud boisterous laughter. For a second Sooyoung thought someone was in trouble and forced herself to calm down again. Shaking her head Sooyoung quietly scanned the area, herself and Yoona giggled quietly when they heard the familiar voice of Jessica yelling at Chanyeol for cheating. A few minutes later he heard them come to some sort of agreement before it fell silent once again.

"Ready or not here we come!" 

The eery silence that followed was a little unsettling as both girls stood from their spots to hastily trudge through the dark forest. Sooyoung was starting to regret letting Yoona drag her out here. The only reassurance that she shouldn't be scared was Yoona's tight grip around her wrist signalling she wasn't alone and the soft crunches of the dead leaves beneath their shoes.

"Yoong you said this was only going to be a hangout." The brunette rubbed at her arms, it wasn't exactly freezing but the temperature within the forest seemed cooler than the open field they had been standing around earlier.

"Quiet Soo, I think I hear them." 

Sooyoung opened to protest only to have Yoona pull her roughly behind a fallen log, a slight squeal leaving her lips when she landed awkwardy beside her.

"Ow! Yoong that hurt."

"Sorry Soo but listen I can hear Chanyeaol." 

Her voice was a slight whisper that Sooyoung could barely make out before she heard him. Chanyeol's distinct laughter rung out through the quiet forest before she heard Jessica.

"damn you Chanyeol! Look at what you've done to my dress!" 

More laughter follwed before a resounding slap echoed amongst the tree's. It was Suho's turn to laugh as Chanyeol's slight whimpers of pain followed. 

"Jess! What the hell? That hurt!"

Sooyoung and Yoona tried to stifle their laughter as they listened to the three banter aimlessly.

"Okay you two, shut it we have to find the others." Suho's voice cut them off short before it went quiet again. She heard the slight shuffle of their shoes, Yoona having sensed it too pulled Sooyoung lower so they were completely concealed behind the log.

The two girls stiffened when they heard their footsteps near the log they were huddled behind, Sooyoung holding her breath. Chanyeol was still rambling about Jessica who continued to scold him.

"Can the two of you be quiet for a second please? We can't surprise the others if the two of you are going to continue to argue."

The two gave off silent huffs of agreement as Suho scanned the area, he'd thought he'd heard something in this direction. Strainging his ears for a second longer he finally turned to the other two.

"Let's go. Maybe we'll have luck finding Baekhyun and Tao, those two need all the help in the world to stay quiet, I'm surprised we didn't find them first."

A resounding smack echoed in the forest as Suho yelped.

"Ow! What was that for?"

"That is for saying I'm no good at hide and seek."

"I didn't say anythng!" Suho protested.

"Technically we found you first" Chanyeol reprimanded only to receive another loud slap against his arm.

"Ow! Woman! What is wrong with you?"

"That is for cheating."

"I-"

Jessica gave the two boys a stern glare before both boys shut up, grumbling under their breath.

Slowly their voices drifted further and further away and the two girls let out sighs of relief. That had been rather close. It felt like forever before they finally couldn't hear them anymore, Jessica had still been complaining about  the dirt on her dress Chanyeol had gotten on her when he'd pulled her from the bush she had hidden behind. Yoona held a finger up to her lips before she peeked over the log scanning the darkness. Sooyoung couldn't help but feel like this was a scene from a horror movie.

Gripping Sooyoung's hand Yoona hoisted her up before making a mad dash across the forest. Sooyoung tried not to protest as she clumsily tripped on her own feet every few steps. Loud footsteps echoed behind the two girls and Yoona ran faster her hand still holding on to Sooyoung's.

"Over there!" Chanyeol's voice rung out from behind them as they picked up their pace, they were sure they hadn't been spotted ans that the three chaser's were simply following their loud running. Sooyoung almost screamed at the top of her lungs when she felt herself roughly tugged away from Yoona by her waist. Yoona continued to run frantically when she felt her hold on Sooyoung slip. She turned to grab her friend but felt a new hand grip her's before they were running again.

"Sooyou-"

"She'll be fine" Hyoyeon's voice shook her out of her slight panic as they continued to run. She trusted Hyoyeon with the fact that Soo would be safe.

Fear lodged in Sooyoungs throat as the person spun her around. Her heart that had been thundering stuttered when she saw it was only him.

"You scared me." Her voice came out as a whisper as she stared up at him. She hadn't realised how close they stood, his arms still wrapped securely around her waist. They were huddled inside the hollow trunk of a huge tree, thick branches overlapped it so that they were covered. (imagine the harry potter tree lol)

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you." His deep voice drifted softly against her ears and she felt herself melt.

Letting out a shaky breath Sooyoung felt exhausted. She fell against him her head resting against his shoulder as his hands traced her back soflty. Her breath hitched as his hands came up to cup the back of her neck, the other gently holding her jaw. Before Sooyoung could realise what he was doing his lips had moulded softly against her own. A soft sigh left her lips, Kai gently nipped at her lower lip and almost let out a satidfied growl when her hands ran along his chest, up his neck and into his soft hair. He could kiss her forever and still  not care about his need for air, but all too soon she had pulled away from the kiss. His head fell forward so that his forehead was resting gently against hers. Her soft pants brushed against his lips and he couldn't help himself when he leaned in to nip at her swollen lips again. He pulled her in closer felling her soft curves press against his body perfectly. This time he forced himself to pull away, placing a soft kiss against her lips as he looked at her face.

Their shallow breathing filled the still night as he continued to watch her. Her hands were gripping his shirt against his chest and he lifted one of her hands against his lips, softly kissing her fingers.

Sooyoung's thoughts were racing and she couldn't figure out her own emotions. Her head fell against his chest as she closed her eyes, breathing in his scent. His hands continued to trace softly agaisnt her back and she sighed.

"What is this Kai?"

He remained silent for quite some time before he finally spoke.

"It can be anything you want it to be."

OMG!!!!! 5000 years later and I finally decide to update -_-

SINCEREST APOLOGIES to my beautiful/handsome subscribers! Life's been kinda crazy these last two years what with university and work so I've been trying to juggle everything and not fall apart lol. It's labour weekend and I was just chillin like a villain at home and  felt so guilty that I had left you guys hanging for so long! so I hope this chapter was okay... I have one more final exam coming up soon and then I'll be working full time so hopefully I'll be updating more often than not from then on. My Korean test last week was a nightmare but here's to hoping I graduate~ love you guys!!!!!
