Life as Is

      It was a beautiful, quiet morning. The sun was shining brightly in the small room, two content figures peacefully asleep on the comfortable bed. Lu Han rolled over lazily, slowly his eyes opened to catch a look at Xue Fang’s peaceful face. He couldn’t believe that watching someone sleep would turn out to be one of his favorite things to do. He smiled with pride; he knew that the Angel beside him was his and his alone.

      “WAKE UP CALL FOR LU HAN AND MEIMEI!” Kris’s voice came loud and clear as the room’s door was busted open. “MEIMEI WAKE UP!!”

      “SHHH!” Lu Han hushed his friend as he sat up, he shot him a deep look. “My Tian Xin (sweetheart) is sleeping.”

      “Meimei is asleep still?” Kris questioned as he gazed over her, “Hm…well than in that case I’ll be going. We’ll be next door when you two are ready.” he said before leaving the room. “DON’T TAKE FOREVER!!” He shouted.

      “What part of be quiet didn’t he get?” Lu Han asked allowed as he resumed his position by Xue Fang’s side, her eyes met his and he pouted, “Did Kris wake you?” Xue Fang shook her head and he laughed. “Liar, he was making so much noise he probably woke the dead.” he commented.

      “His wake up calls are the best, so full of energy.” Xue Fang said as she sat up. “Well than we better get ready for the day. Lady Aphrodite will probably be contacting us shortly,” she warned as she looked at him, “You go shower first.”

      “Alright, won’t take long.” Lu Han said as he grabbed her hand and gave the ring on her finger a kiss. “My beautiful wife.” he stated proudly before walking to the bathroom, the door clicked behind him.

      Xue Fang gave the door a soft smile before she leaned over, he hand grabbing at the cloth covering her shirt. Her eyes winced in pain as she started breathing hard. “The pain seems to be getting a bit worse. The medicine the human doctor gave me isn’t helping much,” she whispered, “I’ll have to visit the healers in Sanctuary.”

      “Xue Fang are you almost ready yet?” Xiumin walked into the room but froze when he spotted her look of pain. “You okay?”

      “I’m fine Xiumin,” she said as she smiled and straightened up, “What did you need?”

      “I really want you to come over so you can heal my arm!” He said as he held up his broken arm, his red cast proof of his words. “Kris promised once you and Lu Han got back from Heaven you would heal me. After all that’s one of the perks of having a Guardian Angel.”

      Xue Fang laughed, “You didn’t even believe me about being an Angel at first. I had to get my Guardian Badge, and prove my powers by healing you before.” she gave with an adorable pout. “I’m starting to think you’re trying to use me for my powers now.”

      “I would never do that! I loved you before the powers remember? You get bonus love for your Angel abilities.” He said with a wink.

      “Do you guys even know the meaning of privacy?” Lu Han asked as he walked over to Xiumin, his shirt was missing. “Bao bei, do you know where my favorite shirt is?” he asked.

      “It’s in the dryer.” She said as she headed for the bathroom herself. “I’ll be ready soon Xiumun so wait for me.”

      Xiumin nodded; once the door clicked he sat down on their bed with a grin. “I’m so glad your wife is a Angel! With her around healing is way fast!”

      Lu Han shook his head but smiled. “Don’t keep relying on those powers man. One day someone is going to question your super human healing if she heals you all the time. I thought when we got married you guys would give us some space. Looks to me like you guys have been here more since then.”          

      “I get the picture.” Xiumin said as he headed for the door, “Married men are so possessive. Next thing you know we’ll be banned from seeing her.”

      “I would if I could.” Lu Han joked as he tossed a pillow at him. “Especially you.”

      Xiumin sighed as he looked over at Kris, both were at the table eating. “Hey Kris, do you think something is wrong with Xue Fang?”

      “No, why?”

      “I went over today and she looked like she was in pain.”

      “Maybe because you’re using up all of her Energy. She’s an Angel, not God.” Kris pointed out.

      “Do you think so?” Xiumin asked as he sat back in thought, “No wonder she made a joke about me using her. I won’t let her heal me anymore then!” he declared.

      “We’re here!” Xue Fang shouted.

      “Well maybe after today.” Xiumin said as he rushed over to her. “Ready to heal me?!”

      Xue Fang laughed, nodding she held her hand out. “Hold out your arm,” Xiumin nodded and did as told, she used her free hand to touch the top of the cast. A blue light emitted from the space between her and the cast. When the light died down she pulled the cast off. “How does it feel baby Min?”

      Xiumin moved his hand around and grinned, “It’s perfect!” he shouted excitedly before grabbing her hand. “Let’s not waste any time then, we can go meet up with the guys now!” He said as he pulled her along, “You can be my date today, forget about your husband.”

      Xue Fang laughed, looking back at Lu Han he gave her a suspicious look. She shrugged and let him pull her away. Lu Han shook his head and sighed, looking at Kris he smiled. Kris looked at him with a small smile of his own, his eyes had a hint of sadness to them but Kris never caught on to it.

      “Well then shall we follow? No telling what the guys will do with her. It’s our first time in awhile having the others over from Korea as well. Don’t fall behind.” He advised.

      Kris nodded, he watched his friend leave before chuckling. “Pull it together Kris, you gave her hand away at the wedding and you were her best man. Get yourself in line, no looking back and NO regrets.” he said sternly to himself, “Better catch up.” He mumbled as he ran out the door, locking it behind himself. Catching up to the group he threw his arm around Lu Han while Xiumin and Xue Fang ran ahead of the two.

      This was their life after an Angel accidently fell from Heaven into their arms, after almost losing someone they all love, and after almost letting love get in between them. It was their life as a family of friends bound together by the string of fate. It was peaceful and fun. To them they were in “Heaven” because they were able to remain together. They enjoyed their life as it was, it never crossed their mind that horrible events would come between them.

Deshi  looked at the hourglass, the sand was getting lower by the minute. He put it away in his pocket and looked down at Xue Fang, Lu Han, Kris, and Xiumin. The for broke into laughter and he smiled.

“Looks like all are well here, she doesn’t seem to be getting close to any danger.” he froze when he looked at her once more. “Her heart…” He mumbled. *Could it be because time is running out?* “At this rate we’ll be moving ahead of schedule,” he said with a frown.”How troublesome.” Deshi shook his head before disappearing into the shadows.
