[Extra] Christmas Eve
My Lucky Charm [short-story]
Today is Christmas and I’m going to spend it with Junhyung. My boyfriend.
My mum met him last week. She said she like him but she’s also uncomfortable knowing that he’s rich.
He’s going to pick me up tonight. When the door bell rings, I knew it was him. I was still getting ready.
“Jaeun-ah! Junhyung is here!” My mother shouted
“Okay!” I shouted back
I went downstairs excitedly and I saw him standing beside my mum.
“Oh, you’re here” My mum said as I slowly went downstairs.
He lift his head up and was stunned. His eyes were widen and his jaw dropped.
I was wearing a black dress with tights. And a red jacket.
I was also wearing a red scarf around my neck.
“Let’s go.” I said as I link my arm with his. “Omma, I’ll be going” I waved at my mum.
“Dae, have fun.” My mum waved back at me.
When we were outside of my house, we started walking. We decided to go to the mall today.
“You look really pretty today.” He said. He was staring at me.
“Was I ugly yesterday?” I .
“Annie, you’re always pretty.” He smiled.
“Thank you.” I kissed on his cheek.
We started to link arms and walked around the mall. We took a lot of pictures together.
“Oh! Arcade games~” I cheered and went into the arcade.
“Come on, oppa!” I called him while showing my hand to him, wanting to hold hands.
“Let’s play!” I cheered.
We started to play some arcade games and he won a teddy bear from it, he gave it to me.
We decided to eat some dukbokki.
“Ahh~” I said and feed him some. He started to feed me back.
“Oh, you got something here” He said and wiped at the corner of my lips.
After we have done eating we walked around the streets.
“Oppa, I want a piggy back” I pouted.
“Ehh?” He said and laugh, he was covering his mouth. “But..there’s people”
“It’s okay.” I hugged his arm.
“Fine.” He said. He started to piggy back me and walked.
I could see many envious girls looking at us.
“See, they’re looking” He shyly said
“That’s because you’re so handsome~ That’s bad~” I said
“Why? Why is it bad?” He ask
“Because they might steal you” I mumbled, embarrassed.
“*chuckled* Then what should you do?”
I cover his face so the others wont see his image. “You’re only mine.” I said
“Yah~ I cant see~” He said. He started to spinned me by shaking his body. I squealed.
After a while he put me down.
“Here, let me carry you now.” I said and showed my back to him.
“No~ People are looking..” He said, embarrassingly.
“It’s okay. Let’s make them jealous~” I said. “Come on, palli.” I whined
“Fine” He said and put his arm around my neck.
I was about to lift him up but…I cant.
“See. You cant carry me” He said while I was still trying to.
“Hurr~” I whined
“It okay, lets just walk like this.” He said. We stared to walk together while his hand is around my neck. He was resting his head on his arm which was on my right shoulder.
As we were walking I started to look at the decorations that they did. It was full of lights and it have a Christmasy feeling. It’s shiny.
“It’s beautiful.” I said as I looked at the Christmas tree in the middle.
“Let’s go sit down for a while” He said
“Okay~”
He started to carry me bridal-style. I was shocked. He just did it suddenly.
“Oppa, what are you doing? This is embarrassing~” I said as I was cover my face into his chest. I was embarrassed.
“You’re my girlfriend, so why cant I do this?” He teased.
He sat on the bench which was in front the big Christmas tree. He didn’t let go of me. I was sitting on his lap.
“Oppa, this is really embarrassing. Ah~ Chincha..” I cover my face into his chest. My arm was around his neck.
“Hey, I got a Christmas present for you.” He said and took out a small box from his pocket.
He opened the box and it was a ring.
“*gasp* It’s beautiful”
He slid the ring into my finger.
“Gomawoyo” I said and hug him tighter. “I also have a present for you.”
“What is it?”
I took my scarf that was around my neck and put it around his.
“Actually, this scarf is your present.”
Since the scarf is a bit long, we both wear it.
“Wuah~ It’s warm” He said. “Thank you.” He smiled.
“Ah! And one more.” I said
“One more?”
“Close your eyes.”
He closed his eyes and was waiting for me.
“I love you” I said and gave him a kiss on his cheek
“What?~ is that it?” He ask and I nodded. “Aish, chinca. You made me feel excited for nothing” He pinch my cheeks
“You don’t want my kiss? Fine, I wont kiss you for a month then” I said while crossing my arms.
“Eyy~ Don’t be like that. I was just kidding” He said and pulled me closer.
“Are you sorry?” I
“Yes, I’m really sorry” He said
“Prove it.” I said
“Prove it?” He ask, and I nodded.
“Like Hugs and kisses”
“That’s easy” He lean in for a kiss. He kissed me on my nose. “I’m sorry okay?”
“*chuckled* You really did it” I said and pinch his nose
“Was that a joke?” He ask
“Of course~” I giggled.
“You tricked me~” He tickled my stomach.
“*chuckled* Merry Christmas I pinch his cheeks
“Merry Christmas He pinch my nose.
After we have done exchanging gift. We continued to walk around the mall.
While linking our fingers together.
“Oppa, what was the best moment in your life?”
“Why are you asking”
“Just..” I paused
“Hurrmm~ My best moment in my life is..” He paused
“The first moment when I laid my eyed on you” He touched the tip of my nose
“Eyy~ How cheesy”
“How about you?” He ask
“Me? Is now.” I smiled
“Eyy~ How cheesy” He mimicked me
“What~ Your’s was cheesier~” I whined
“Your’s too” He said
We were arguing about that but we stopped when it was snowing.
“*sigh* How cold~” I was rubbing my hands together for some warmth.
“Here” He put the red scarf around my neck. We shared the scarf that I gave him.
“Thank you” I smiled. “You’re always making my heart melt” I teased
“Really? Should I melt you more?”
He started to link his fingers with mine and put it in his pocket.
“Let’s go” He said and we started walking.
This Christmas is really special since I’m with my ‘Lucky charm’.
