-Narrator's POV:-

2nd July - the day of the ball.

The girls got themselves ready for the dance at Tiffany's house before getting picked up by their dates.

Tiffany - Taemin

Jessica - Jiyong

 With everyone wearing their colourful gowns, suits and masks, they can hardly recognise their friends or classmates.

 However, one thing thats for sure - Everybody looked amazing.

 As they walked pass the dance floor, Taemin reached out his hand towards Tiffany, hoping that she will hold it so that they won't lose each other in the crowd.

 To his surprise, their hands met and Taemin could feel her soft, warm touch.

 Taemin smiled and led the way while Tiffany, sub-consciously looked around the room. And in her mind, she knew exactly the answer to what, or more precisely who, she was looking for...

 From afar, Jessica - Jiyong caught his attention... the admirer.

 "Guess there's already another someone. and that someone isn't me."

 I'm happy for you and him then. You are meant for each other. Hope you'll last long...

 Tiffany found who she was looking for after scanning the crowd.

Even with a mask on she could recognise his face. His features. His figure.

 He looked charmingly charismatic, and it only took one look at him to make her heart thump faster.

 However, to her disappointment, he was with her, as usual.

 "Would you like to dance with me?" broke her train of thoughts.

 "It will be my pleasure. ^^"

 Their dance started at a slow pace.

 It got more natural and they got more comfortable as they progressed.

 Tiffany allowed Taemin to lead her with his awesome dancing skills.

 At one point in time,

 Tiffany twirled out from his arms with the music.

 The lights dimmed. The song ended

 a pair of hands grabbed me back.

 there was a sudden change in tempo and also the atmosphere.

 The innocent Taemin was missing.

 She then realised she wasn't dancing with Taemin anymore.

 this guy, whom she cant really see, had given her a sense of security and it made her stayed with him for a dance. He gave out a mysterious and manly aura.

 Although his dance skills were not as fantastic as Taemin's, Tiffany still enjoyed it as much and she could feel the passion in their dance.

 It was time to announce the winning pairs for the couple awards.

 Thoughout the ball, Jessica & Jiyong were kinda awkward.

 Jiyong tried numerous attempts to get closer to Jessica, but got coldly rejected every time.

 "Now.... The Most Matching Couple Award goes to.... them!"

 Suddenly, the spotlight shined on Jessica & Jiyong.

 They both immediately realised what was going on...

 It caught them both by surprise and they didn't know how to react.

 "Kiss kiss kiss kiss..." The crowd chanted

 Jiyong smiled and looked towards Jessica

 She had the 'omfg whaaaat?!' look, but he ignored it.

 He moved closer and this time, she didn't move away.

 The crowd got louder.

 His face moved steadily nearer and nearer to her's.

 Jessica closed her eyes and embraced herself for whatever's coming up.

 But... it never came.

 In place, a tender kiss landed on her cheeks.

 The crowd jeered but it mattered to neither of them.

 "Since when was he such a gentleman?"

 "I can never understand what's on his mind..."

 The song ended.

 Tiffany bowed and when she looked up, the mysterious guy disappeared.

 "This sure is puzzling. Wonder who he is... Will I ever meet him again?"

 Taemin found Tiffany and they went out for some peace and alone time.

 "Taemin-ah, the night sky and the moon's so pretty tonight.

 But, why aren't there any stars?"
