'Thanks, Hae.' Kyu whispered the next monday.

Donghae just smiled.

Kyu briefly hugged the fish and walked away.

'Okay, what's wrong, Hyuk?' Kyu yelled after the other 'accidently' spilled paint all over Kyu's shirt.

'Nuffin.'

'Liar.'

Hyuk's eyes were on fire. 'What did you call me?'

'A liar! I can even spell it for you L-I-A OUCH!' Kyu screamed as Hyuk punched him in the stomach. He started crying.

'Hyukkie?'

Hyuk turned and saw a shocked Donghae behind him.

'Hyukkie, what are you doing?'

'Kyu was annoying me.'

'So you punched him?'

'Yes.'

Hae's eyes suddenly turned cold. 'Bad, Hyukkie, bad!' He grabbed Kyu's arm and dragged him away.

Hyuk stood frozen. He kept hearing Hae's voice in his head, calling him bad with that indifferent look he never had seen before.

Hae, Kyu and Siwon were playing in the sandbox. At first Siwon had been suspicious about Kyu but soon he relaxed. Kyu did nothing bad to his fishy so all was well.

'Hae Hae?' Kyu asked.

'Kyu?'

'Why do you like Hyuk so much?'

Siwon tensed.

'Hyukkie' Hae said, his eyes all dreamy.

Kyu smiled. Donghae's cuteness really was to die for.

'I like how Hyukkie loves his strawberry juice, his smile, his eyes when he's happy, his smell, the way he dances, the way he pampers Choco, the way he walks, how he eats, how he...'

'Ok, ok I get it.' Kyu chuckled.

Hae smiled back and ran off to get them some water.

'It's cause he was there when Hae's dad died.' Siwon whispered.

Kyu's eyes widened 'What?'

'Hae Hae likes Hyuk for all the things he just said but he loves that rude monkey because he was nice to him for one day.' Siwon sighed, his little shoulders hanging low in defeat. 'Hae's dad suddenly died, Hae was alone at home with him. He didn't know what to do, so he ran to Hyuk. Hyuk took care of everything although he was only 4 years old back then.'

'What did Hyuk do?'

'He called an ambulance and then Hae's mum.'

'Wow smart.'

'Yes, and while he and Hae waited, he comforted him.'

'What does comforted mean?' Kyu frowned.

'When someone is in pain, you hold them and say sweet things so they calm down.' Siwon said with his most serious face.

Kyu nodded. 'How do you know all this?'

'Hae sometimes talks when he sleeps' Siwon shrugged.
