~ Taemin POV~

He was going to die. He would be gone forever.

A tear found its way down my cheeks and a sob managed to escape me. And it was all my fault.

How could I have done this??

Since when I have I become so cruel??

I raced up the stairs afraid that my parents would catch me. I had overheard their whole entire conversation… they would not be happy if they found out I knew.

“If this keeps up, Minho will die in a matter of months.”

My parents shook their heads sadly and looked away.

I kept on running till I reached my room. I carefully locked the door behind me and jumped into my bed.

I snuggled down and forced my eyes closed. I didn't want to think about what I caused.

How my carelessness caused another person immense pain. An innocent person to feel pain.

Why. Why would Minho die just because he was getting bullied??

The answer was simple. When Minho came to the Lee’s he had already been in a critical condition. To add on the mental stress Minho endured much physical pain during school which worsened his condition. At this rate, his body would give out soon.

But no matter how much I hated that huge eyes idiot, I would still feel miserable if someone were to die.

I squeezed my eyes tighter, and cleared all the depressing thoughts out of my head and attempted to fall asleep. Eventually, I did.

~Minho POV~

It hurt. And all I felt was pain.

Why couldn’t Taemin see that I cared about, that I loved him??

Well too late now I suppose. As each day passed I felt my body getting weaker and weaker. It wouldn’t be too long before I left Taemin for good. Maybe he would be happy then. No more me to burden him, or bother him.

A sad smile crept onto my face as I slid the covers over my head and pretended to be asleep.

There was no noise and everything was peaceful. And so I let myself drift off before jerking back awake when someone ran into the room, locking the door behind them.

It was none other than my beloved Taemin. But I frowned when I heard sobbing from the other side of the room. Why would he be crying? Was he okay??

But I couldn’t ask him now, it was too late. I would ask him in the morning.

_in the morning_

I yawned and stretched my stiff body. It still hurt all over, but I forced myself out of bed.

I went down to the bathroom to shower only to find Taemin brushing his teeth. He had a weird glint in his eye before his face lit up in a huge smile and he smiled at me.

“Morning Hyung!!”

Right then I felt like crying. It was the first time that he had ever smiled at me and the first time that he had called me Hyung.

I smiled right back at him, “Morning Tae!”

I was already feeling better. But what really made me smile was when Tae ran up to me during school and invited me to sit with him at lunch.

Of course I was reculant at first but I couldn’t help but follow the sweet smiling angel before me. And the rest of the day just felt like heaven.

When I reached the house though, I headed straight for my bed room and plopped down on the bed. I cradled my head in my hands and started to weep uncontroably.

What if this whole day was just a dream? But more importantly what if it wasn’t and Taemin was planning to hurt me more?

Then I felt a pair of soft and gentle arms wrap around my back.

“Why are you crying? Are you okay? What happened?” the concerned questions were thrown at me and I was surprised to see who spoke.

Taemin’s face hovered inches from mine his face in a pout. I giggled softly. He was worried about me. It made me so happy, maybe this wasn’t a trap…..

Taemin inched closer till our foreheads were touching. His frown deepened.

“hey Min, I think you are starting to have a fever, you’re a little bit hotter than usual….”

I immediately pushed him away, and I panicked. “w-well if I'm sick you shouldn’t be around me!! What if you caught the cold too!!??”

Now it was his turn to laugh, “Don’t worry I will take care of you~~~”
