Key's POV

On the way home MeiXing calms down and now appears to have fallen asleep.  I park my car and notice that there is a man near my house with a camera in his hand. I look from him to MeiXing and pull out an extra pair of sunglasses and slip them onto her face.

“Wha-what are you doing?” she asks waking up.

I look at her awkwardly. “Uh, it’s just that…I don’t want you to hurt your eyes. It’s pretty bright outside.”

She lifts her hood up around her face, “It’s pretty cold too.”

I pull my hat down and lift my collar up to hide as much as possible.

I walk over to her press her to my side. “Let’s go.”

“What wrong?” she muffles.

We hurry up to my apartment and side pass the paparazzi.

“What was that about?” she asks as I fumble for my key.

“Nothing. It’s nothing.”

“Yah!”

“It’s nothing,” I reassure her opening the door.

She steps inside and looks at me. “Oppa, I know there’s something you’re not telling me.”

I swallow.

“Oppa,” she says tilting her head.

Did the guys put her up to this?

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

Her eyelids drop and her lips curl into a soft smile.

“If you don’t want to tell me it’s okay.” She turns around and I feel like I’ve been hit in the chest.

“MeiXing,” I touch her shoulder.

She looks at me with intense eyes and I try to stay calm but something about the way she’s looking at me makes me nervous.

“Oppa?”

My stomach jumps.

“Why did you start calling me that?”

She pouts her lip causing me to bit mine. “Your coworkers told me that I should out of respect.”

I shudder. “You don’t have to.”

“But I want to,” she says in Korean.

I can only look at her.

“Why were you running me to the door?”

I suddenly remember the man outside.

“Oh, was it the man out by the door?” she walks over to the window and lifts the blinds.

“Aniyo,” I pull her arm and she stumbles into me. “The waitress at Hyung’s shop must have something to do with this.”

“Oppa, she seemed nice enough,” MeiXing says into my shoulder.

“That doesn’t mean anything.” I pause for a second, “did he see you?”

“I don’t think so.”

“Are you okay?”  I rest my head against hers.

“Of course.”

She pulls her face back brushing her cheek against mine.

“You’re still acting funny,” she says scrunching her face.

I wrap my arms around her and bring her closer.

“I don’t want to share you,” I whisper before I can think about it.

She rests her elbows at my sides and her fingertips find their way around my shoulders.

She lifts her head up and looks at me nose to nose.

Her eyes look from my eyes to my mouth and then to somewhere on my cheeks.

“Oppa, thank you for everything.”

“M-mei,” I stutter.

Her eyes look back at mine.

“Oppa,” she breathes and it tickles my face.

I kiss her right above and her fingers press into my shoulders.

My lips catch hers and I can feel her smile.

I kiss the tip of her nose and she squints her eyes shut.

Her fingers trail the base of my neck as I kiss her eyelid.

I kiss again and this time she kisses back. Her lips move against mine and for a brief moment I forget everything that’s going on. Her hands make their way to my chest and she suddenly pulls herself away.

I don’t say anything; I don’t even dare look at her. When I finally do she has huge tears sliding down her cheeks.

“Mei?”

“Why was it you?” she mumbles.

I reach out to touch her face but she clenches her eyes shut.

“MeiXing,” I hush.

“Kibum I can’t do this,” she says in Korean.

I brush away the tears.

“Key, I can’t!” she cries.

“Why do you know that name?” I question.

She cries even harder, “I remember everything now.”

She knew I was famous?

“It’s all back,” she cries into her hands.

“I ca-can’t,” she stutters.

I touch her shoulder and she falls back against the wall. “I can’t,” she cries even harder. “I’m your new stylist,” she manages through sobs.

“Why does that matter?” I ask and she slides her back against the wall.

“I’m engaged to your manager.”

I finally found something that I wanted only to be mine, but she couldn’t.

D: I rewrote this part like four times to get it to this so i hope you liked it.

gah, i doubt you remember the manager, he's had such a small role but he's actaully really important. (i mention the engament in chapter 4, its brief...but its there.)

the story gets really confusing from here, so i'll upload a character breakdown when it gets farther.

don't expect anything from me for about a week. I'm behind in a lot of classes TT_TT

i chose this song mainly because MeiXing is going to change...a lot. i don't mean she's going to dye her hair or anything, but her personality is going to take a 180. say goodbye to playful MeiXing, she's going to be missing for a while.
