Lee Jae Mi

Jae Mi was about to leave school to pick up Si Min when she got a text from him telling her he would be staying an extra 30 minutes to try out for basketball. Jae Mi hadn’t told Si Min that she made the softball team yet. She wanted to tell him in person.

“Ya! Jae Mi!”

Jae Mi turns around and sees Minho running towards her with that adorable smile on his face.

I really wish he would stop being so damn cute.

“Annyeong.”, said Jae Mi.

“Waiting for your next class?”

“Ani. I’m done for the day.”

“Then why are you still here? Didn’t you have plans with your brother?”

“Ne. But he just told me he’d be a little late. He’s trying out for basketball.”

“Do you think he’ll make the team?”

“I know he will.”

Si Min was already waiting outside when Jae Mi arrived at the high school.

“Jaime, I made the team!”, said Si Min as he opened the passenger door.

“Chukahae nam dongsaeng. I knew you could do it.”

“Kamsahamnida.”

“I have some news for you too.”, said Jae Mi.

“Oh?”

“I found out that there is a soft ball team at my school.”

“Omo! Jaime! You have to try out! You promised!”

“Calm down, Simon, I already did.”

“Oh.”, said Si Min. “You made the team right?”

Jae Mi just smiled at her brother.

“Oh my God you did!”

Jae Mi laughed. “Ne.”

“Just wait til we tell mom and dad! They’ll be so happy for us.”

“Yes, but first, let’s go on that hike.”

Choi Minho

“Ahh good you’re home.”, said Minho’s mom as he walked in the front door. “Quick, go change into something formal.”

“Wae? Where are we going?”

“Your father just found out that his best friend from high school is working at the same hospital as your brother. He has invited us over for dinner tonight. Now hurry up and change.”

“Yes umma.”

Dang! Is this dude made of money? His house is huge! He must be a damn good doctor!

“Tae Jong!”, says Minho’s dad as they walk into the house.

“Choi Hyung Min. Long time no see chingu.”

“You look good hyung!”

“Ah I see you’ve brought your family.”

“Ne. This is my wife Jae Lin and my youngest son Min Ho.”

“Mannaseo bangawoyo. Welcome to my home.”

“We are honored that you invited us.”, said Minho’s mom.

“Oh my they’re here already. Oh! Mianhe. Please don’t take that rudely. But our children have not yet returned from school.”

“Hyun Min this is my wife, Tae Rin.”

“Annyeonghaseyo Tae Rin. And don’t worry, we’re in no hurry.”

“Annyeonghaseyo. Please let’s go sit in the dining room. Dinner shouldn’t take long and I’m sure the children will be home soon.”

Lee Jae Mi

5:00pm: Jae Mi and Si Min come home after their hike.

“Thank God you’re finally home!”, said Jae Mi’s mom. 

“What do you mean finally?”, said Jae Mi. “I told you we were going on a hike today.”

“I know, but we have company. They came earlier than we thought they would.”

“Company?”, asked Si Min.

“Yes company. So both of you go change into something nice and presentable.”, says Jae Mi’s mom as she starts walking towards the kitchen.

“Is it just me or does mom seem nervous?”, asked Jae Mi.

“She does. I wonder who’s here.”

“Yeah me too. Must be someone important to make mom nervous like that.”

“Let’s go change before she throws a fit.”, said Si Min.

Choi Minho

“Ah Si Min you look so handsome.”, says Mrs. Lee as she stands up to hug her son. “Si Min this is Choi Hyun Min. He was your father’s best friend in high school.”

“Annyeonghaseyo.”, said Si Min.

“And that is his wife Jae Lin and his son Min Ho.”

“Annyeonghaseyo.”

“Now, where is your sister?”

“She’s almost ready.”

“That girl better hurry up.”

“Jagi, calm down.”, said Mr. Lee. “I see her coming down the stairs.”

“Oh! Oh sweetie. You’re so pretty!”

Minho and his parents turn around

No. It can’t be….she’s….she’s…..beautiful!

“Jae Mi.”, said Minho.
